The City King
The very first person to enhance themselves in order to defend the city, the King has lived for a very long time. So long, no one within the city knows what he looked like when he was human, or even if he was a he or a she! Today he is one of the most powerful beings within the city walls, as well as the founder and leader of the City Defenders.
The Archer
The second in command in the City Defenders, the Archer is a powerful fighter. Able to use her bow and special gloves to turn light into matter, she has an endless supply of ammo, and add that to her skill from a distance and close range, and youve got one skilled warrior. She typically spends her days on top of the wall, keeping an eye out both over the city below, and the desert outside...
The Answer
The city was quiet one day, until a hulking beast in armor almost broke through the wall! It took the King himself to push this armored giant back, and even then it was ckear it had survived. It was later revealed that this was the secret weapon of the City Defenders hated enemies, the Desert_Alliance. With this in mind, the King commissioned a hulking knight of their own, their Answer to the Alliance and their Secret Weapon. Normally, the Answer stands as a statue in the middle of the city. But if ordered by the King, he will be activated, and his devistating power unleashed.
The Soldier
One day, a mutated monster did manage to get through the wall. It didn't get far before the Archer killed it, but what it did manage to do was kill a girls family, and infect her with a mutating virus. The king saw to her himself. While he couldnt reverse the effects of the virus, he could stop it before she was completely turned. After this, the girl decided that since she has a body that can fight, then she has to use it. She took up arms, and became a Soldier serving the King and the Defenders.
The Scout
Unfortunatly, even though the city is defended from monsters and bandits and thieves, natural death is not something so easily stopped. Illness claimed the parents of a young girl one day, and she went to the King for help. When asked why, since her parents had already passed, the girl said it was because she was coming down with the same illness. The king had her brought to his personal medical facility. Before he operated, he offered her a new home among the defenders, and she accepted. And so, he had her healed, and enhanced. Now, with her cybernetics, the Scout can heal from almost anything, making her the perfect person for reconnisance missions.
The Casual Android
In a way, the Casual Android is the Kings daughter. After being witness to so much death over theyears, the King thought it was about time he helped bring in new Life. And so, he created C49, or Cici as she likes to be called. Not much of a fighter, the Casual Android prefers to spend her time on communications, giving the Defenders the info they need and warning them of potential threats. When shes not sitting in front of a computer, however, she can be found lazing in an auto shop, drinking oil.
The Rider
Originally an ordinary Biker who rode with the Defenders and helped, but never fully joined, the Rider loved her life. She loved speed and skill, and with those together, nothing could catch her. Unfortunately, she didnt plan on something trying to stop her, rather than catch her. A bandit, some kind of sniper, took out her front tire and sent her into a crash that took both of her legs. The King replaced them with mechanical limbs, but she didnt feel the same....finally, she said she would join the Defenders if they helped her with a new bike design she had...now, her legs attatch to her Hyperspeed bike, and her sword can be drawn from it. Theres no one who can stop or catch the Rider now.
The Front-Liner
The Front Liners story is a simple one. A girl who saw the Defenders, and began training to be able to join them. It was more than just her goal, it was her dream. And its a dream she managed to achieve. After proving to the King that she is a skilled fighter with her bare hands, and a snapshot witn a pistol, she was allowed to join the Defenders.
The Fighter
The Fighter was actually sought out by the King himself. He heard of a girl with tremendous strength and no robotic enhancements! Upon searching for this girl, he found her in a boxing club, able to knock out fighters three times her size with one hit. And he could tell from the way she threw those punches, she was holding back. Upon being asked to join the Defenders, the girl gave ananthusiastic yes! She wanted to find an enemy she could go all out on~
The Warrior
The story of the Warrior is one of redemption. Once a bandit, he roamed the desert for hears in search of food and water and shelter, killing anyone he needed to in order to survive. However, one day he came upon the city and fell to his knees in tears. He knew everything he needed was behind thkse walls, but he couldnt bring himself to kill any more innocent people to get there. The King saw this, and offered him refuge and companionship, and the Warrior accepted. Now, he defends the city he calls home.
The Defender
The youngest member of the City Defenders, the Defender earned her way in, as well as her title. She did this by showing she was the last person in the entire city capable of using....magic. Originally, she used it to conjure food or water for those who she felt needed more, until she realized her skills could be used to help protect the city and its people. Now, with her magic sword and shield, this small warrior is not to be taken lightly.
The Swordswoman
Originally a Blacksmith who helped forge the guns and weapons for the Defenders, the Swordswoman wanted to prove herself to them.And wo one day, she jumped the wall and stood waiting with her two finest crafted swords, while a heard of mutated animals rushed at her. In moments, they were deas. The King saw this, and decided she would make a worthy addition to the Defenders. And so, he let her join.
The Knight
Ever since the defenders began, there was one girk who kept coming back to the King, asking to serve directly under him, as his Knight. Time and time again, he tried to tell her hes not that kind of King, that this isnt that kind of kingdom, but then she saw her skill with that huhe blade of hers. After that, he relented. He let her serve him, but only as a member of the Defenders.
And thus, the City Defenders were created. They gaurd their city against all threats, while offering sanctuary for those who truely need it. If you find yourself at the city wall in need of help, you need only ask. But if you stand before the city with plans of invasion or attack, beware. For both your attemot, and your time with the living, is bound to be shortlived.
