Life's hard for little Zenari. She's got bullies, social anxiety, schoolwork, and on top of all that she's been thrust into the position of a superheroine by a tiny, bear shaped fairy that's given her magical powers.
It happened while she was in the park walking home. A villain was laughing manically on top of what was best described as a demonic doughnut walking around. The fairy flew around for anyone pure enough to transform into a Pretty Cure and stop the madman...and Zenari was really the only one around that fit the bill.
Using a wand with a heart and the end of it and shouting "PreCure, spirit rise!" at the top of her lungs, Zenari became Cure Cocoa and started fighting evil...very poorly. To the point that Melkumo, her fairy, has had to bail her out with the heart cards every time she has gone up against any of the generals of the League of Bitterness and their Bitterna monsters. Thankfully every time she gets one when she beats one of their monsters.
Cure Cocoa's string of near losses comes down to two major factors. First off, she doesn't have any other Pretty Cures backing her up. Most teams of Pretty Cures are, well, teams of at least two or as many as five, not including the fairies. Cocoa only has Melkumo on her side. The other part is she is extremely weak for a Pretty Cure. Sure her strength, stamina, and speed are well above what any normal human can obtain, but everything is so much stronger than her. Her saving grace is that she at least can control her powers and can use her special Cocoa Splash several times before she runs out of power.
With only a matter of time before the League of Bitterness starts powering itself up, Cure Cocoa and Melkumo are racing to find those to become her teammates. This would be a lot easier if Zenari didn't suffer from social anxiety and if her general area wasn't filled with a lot of...let's just say it's getting harder and harder to find the right kind of person to become a Pretty Cure.

This is based around the Pretty Cure style of magical girls. I can very easily adapt to other magical girl styles...assuming you help me out a little. Since Pretty Cure changes its rules every season there isn't too much you need to know. Unrelated does Power Rangers change its rules like that too?
I'm also okay with playing by other magical girl rules, provided you inform me of them. My knowledge of how things work is limited to Pretty Cure and Madoka Magica...I should probably rewatch Sailor Moon at some point.
Despite the name I have no desire to be dipped in chocolate. It's just that Cocoa was the best name I could come up with.
This might be a PreCure based alt but I haven't seen everything. In fact I've only seen Heartcatch and Smile fully and I've just started on Fresh.
