Damaia was born into a town to the south, born to parents who stayed together, and were very proud of their daughter. When she was
young, however, the town suffered a raid from a bunch of bandits who sacked, killed, raped, and did whatever they wanted. Despite
the incident, a surprising number of people managed to survive that, but many were also killed, or with child. It was an event that
marked her, and started her determination to practice fighting. She knew if she wanted to protect herself and those she cared about
then learning to fight was the only true method. Despite her protests from her surviving mother, who said it was too dangerous, she
still did so.

Years later, when she had sufficient practice through her training with a couple of her male friends, she entered a competition in
a nearby city, and surprised many people with her skilled moves. However, she didn't win - but did come in third place. One of her
childhood friends wound up winning instead. She still wanted to be stronger though, and so she went up the mountain path behind her
village, and pledged herself to one of the benevolent gods her people worshipped. The god saw her determination, and incredible
strength of will. He bestowed upon her spectacular strength, and granted her a specially enchanted weapon. A naginata style, with a
crossguard.

She then hunted down the bandits she remembered who raided her town, and with her friend, they both managed to kill them. However,
she realized that her blessing came with a downside. After eating the leader of the bandits, she realized she couldn't stay. Her
friend was taken aback, and she volunteered to leave. She did so that night, and her friend returned to their village alone after
both of them said goodbye to each other.

Now she lives in the nexus, working as she will, protecting the ones she cares about, and with her newfound hunger, will either eat
eat someone, or befriend them...who knows...you might wind up in her heart, or her belly.

This is Damaia's friend, and they work out together often. They sometimes share meals as well. She spent
several years (18-24yrs old) travelling around making a living fighting in tournaments. She came back to
improve herself and find out what she wants to do in life.
