Humanity has always been self-absorbedly obsessed with it's own reflection. As a consequence, mirrors have always held a special place in human understanding. They have always been a factor in fairy tales, poetry, and song. Some primitives have believed that the reflection is the gateway to the spirit realms, or that a mirror can be used to steal a person's soul. Humanity's fascination with mirrors has transcended time and location, and all societies have their myths and fables concerning what's on the other side of the looking glass.

Rumor has it, though, that there is one mirror for which some rumors are true. It is said that this mirror can show you more then just your reflection, that it can show you who or what you really are. Others say that it can show you a whole other world, or that it can show you your wishes and dreams. Some few even say that there is a whole other world on the other side of that mirror, just sitting there and waiting for someone to reach out to it. But what is really on the other side of that mirror... and is it as pleasant as it appears?

WHAT TO EXPECT
The mirror is haunted, possessed by a malevolent or lonely spirit. The spirit is mildly telepathic, able to detect surface thoughts and more importantly, the desires of those nearby. It tends to show things subtly at first. Those with stronger desires will produce stronger initial reactions from there mirror. At first the mirror seems a simple curiosity. Perhaps your boobs look a little bigger, perhaps your hair is a little more stylish, or your skin a little more fair. But as someone spends more time looking into the mirror, the mirror spends time looking back and learning. It adapts it's tactics, searching for things that the viewer will react positively to. It will show them increasingly more impossible things, anything to lure them even closer.

The mirror shows it's target's deepest desires, an entire world laid out before it for the taking. Subtly, subconsciously, it beckons to the viewing, tempting them to come a little closer. It would prefer that they give themselves over willingly, but this rarely happens for the warning in people's hearts that something is fundamentally Wrong with what is happening. Sadly, the mirror has no compunctions against lashing out and grabbing those that are close enough. Many young women have had the willpower to resist the mirror's call, only to find to their horror that they were standing just a little too close anyway.

What's inside the mirror?

The malevolent spirit, of course. And your dreams, as well. Only now, they're different. You either get too much of a good thing or a twisted perversion of what they were, based upon the nature of the dreams, what the malevolent spirit thinks will inflict more horror, and the personal whims of me, the player. And what does the mirror, ultimately, want?
