Darkrai_Knightmare

If on a dark night you begin to feel an unexplainable chill down your spine, if you feel alone yet somehow like you're being watched, if your vision begins to betray you with the sight of phantasms darting through the darkness...it might already be too late for you. He's set his sight on you now, chosen you and mark my words, he never loses his prey.

Spoke about in legend as the parallel to the dream pokemon Cresselia, this spectral beast reigns over a domain of darkness, a being born of pure ill intent who seeks vulnerable souls to toy with and drag down into the shadows. The being is known simply as Darkrai.

But as of late this once secretive legendary has abandoned his seclusion, something has driven him to a much more sinister way of life, it is unclear what has caused the Dark type to become a night terror, nobody ever gets the chance to ask him, usually they have already been dragged off to the Dark World.

His power is a force beyond our comprehension, able to manipulate darkness and phase through any solid material is common place, however he has one ability that we cannot yet understand, he is a master of fear, and not just hallucinogenic mirages like some known ghost pokemon, nothing so meager as that. Darkrai is said to be able to look deep within a beings sub conscious to see what really makes them tick, then he is able to form physical nightmares around his prey, bringing their greatest fears to life, that's how he hunts, that's how he plays.

So if you think there is even a chance that you have encountered him then your only hope is to run, run as fast as you can and pray to whatever force you may that he does not pursue you for much longer, lest you find yourself within his domain.

The only time Darkrai may show any mercy it to those he sees potential in, those with darkness already well infested in their hearts and souls, these "lucky" few that catch Darkrai's attention risk the reward of becoming a part of The Legion.

Legion members will be filled with dark magics and demonic abilities, they will also be able to invoke nightmares like Darkrai and can communicate with their lord directly by calling upon him, however they are also at his beck and call, forced to answer any summon.

Legion members will be marked by a tattoo like scar, positioned on their body wherever they choose.

How quaint that my first true subject would be another pokemon, she is a fine specimen with a fire in her belly and a hatred for humans in particular for what they did to her family, she loves me devotingly, all I can ask for from such a loyal Arcanine.

Then there are those that end up his prey, torn asunder by spiders, ripped apart by a clown, even had one kid whose mother showed up and punched his little head clean off. Regardless of the method they all end up consumed by my darkness to be ferried off for an eternity of suffering in the Dark World.

The young feline sought company and attention from the wrong being, not being aware of the cruelty that I am capable of he soon found his body pulled into a shadowy pit and end up inside my belly. There he was digested into nothingness aside from his skull which I coughed up into my hand to crush moments later into powder, what can I say, i love playing with my food.



Dark World:

The Dark world is a plane of reality that is connected to all others, unlike a parallel dimension it works in complete tandem with every conceivable dimension, there is always a way in, but for those not born of it's shadows there is almost never a way out.






Alternate Forms:
He may appear to you in a number of forms, his own is the dark entity you see depicted above which he will use to approach mostly anyone, however he has a certain way of handling his hunts.

He may appear somewhat humanoid, a form that might lower one's guard with his deep, soothing voice and desirable features.



Or he may appear as a much more horrific white variation of himself to instill pure fear into ones heart.
