Other than the nuanced aspects of such a statement, the general attitude and gist of behavior in the above statement is almost indistinguishable from Debbie Addison's former life as a mortal woman and the current as a Nobilis_Succubi. She was always renown for being haughty and full of herself, not necessarily always in a vulgar and aggressive manner... But to deny that she wasn't confident of her appearance and mental prowess would be a dire understatement.

With an exemplary academic record and successful start to a modeling career, it made no sense for the Nobilis to delay in taking such a gifted prize into their ranks, nor did it take much convincing out of them either.
