Otherwise, she dresses casually, usually seen with a simple shirt and either a long skirt, always a least knee-length, or thick pants.



A recent transfer student to the local high, Denese Cooper's most notable trait is her petite stature, four and three quarters feet tall, and a slim, light build to go along with it. Beyond that is her introvert personality, often awkward and skittish when dealing with others. These traits have, at her old school, left her as a common target of the various torturous activities of her more rowdy peers. Or, to put it simply, she was bullied. A pain she had to bear for years until she finally did something about it. But that's a story for later, let's focus on her.

Denese is an intellectual at heart, although her performance in class is mostly average, she does her assignments well, but lacks the ethic to complete them in timely manners. She always falls flat in group assignments, always being the one to keep her thoughts to herself. It's clear that she is a bit of a nerd, or a geek, although she would object to being referred to as such, feeling as it lumps her in with the 'hip' crowd she feels is plaguing her field. Her primary hobbies and interest include games and computers, with little interest in television, movies, or sports which leaves her often at her PC, browsing the web.

Now, Denese may seem like a normal nerd at first glance, but that's where the normality ends. You see, one day while checking her e-mail, she came across an advertisement. "Short? Frail? Bullied? We have a solution!" She would have dismissed it as a spam message if it didn't hit so close to home about her issues at school. Curious, she at least peeked at it, finding the text within to be quite personalized and well written. Definitely not from some kind of spambot. It was regarding some kind of dubious medication to help her 'bulk up', so it claimed. She was about to delete it and carry on before she glimpsed the end, finding it to an offer from a local dealer, even addressing her by her real name, something she doesn't ever use for anything online. Despite common sense telling her to ignore it and carry on, she went through with an order with the suspicious salesperson.

The exact events that followed afterwards should be easily enough guessed by this community. End result? A few bullies went missing, forever; Denese quickly transferred out of the area, all the way to these parts; And a new Denese was born.

Ever since that day, Denese had gained the ability, fantastic and ridiculous as it may be, to stretch and consume objects, notably people larger than her own size. Now don't go thinking Denese is some heartless predator now, she does mull over the morality of eating fellow people alive nearly all the time. But it doesn't help that she now has the 'urge', as she calls it. When that urge builds up is hard for her to predict, sometimes it strikes like a hunger, sometimes it wells up when something annoys her, but when it does, it's difficult to resist, no matter who happens to be around. When she does devour and digest a living being, an even more radical change overcomes her thanks to the dubious medicine...

Enter the new Denese, that stands at staggering height of eleven and a half feet with with a large, slightly muscular, frame. She may be the same person with the same knowledge, but the change in body comes with a change in behavior to a more confident, brash, and boisterous one. In this state she often disregards consequences when she acts to seize the day. After all, she's well aware that she could revert back to her smaller, pathetic self at any moment.

For better or for worse, Denese inevitably reverts back to her normal self in time, often harrowed by her larger self's activities. The two, although the same person, are at odds with one another, failing to see eye to eye, and each trying to avoid becoming the other.
