Desma comes from the Upper Realms, her experience in the heavenly places making her...well... bored. She was so bored with life, everything in her home city the Best of the Best, all tasting the same. She needed something different. She needed to meet different people! With that in mind, she departed from the Upper Realms, moving into the more Central Material Planes.
Once Desma reached the Material Planes, she realized she was going to have to do something to get by, living day by day. What was there for her to do? Eventually, though, she realized that, being from another plane, she had an extraplanar perspective on the culture, clothes, and food of the people around her. With that, she studied and got credentials to study, rate, and critique food, writing in articles to local papers. Travelling, she found herself more and more addicted to sweets and savory foods, of any and all varieties.
