So to explain, the sizing of these digimon even if a rookie is picked will be standing tall as or taller than your character, As in the rookie in question will be some 8-12 foot tall. Yes quite large. And indeed they will be all females. So they will be able To unbirth, oral vore, or anal vore their partners/residents. As for champion, can be normal champion size or bigger.

But other than that, the opening things to answer:
Which digimon would you like as your partner?
what will you be doing? General adventure in the real or digital worlds?
More to be decided, but the first two are the biggest questions to answer before any ideas are presented.

So other than that, your digimon will come to you via any number of ways, If you are lost in the digital world, randomly Teleported there. Or your digimon ends up in the real world via digi-device, or biomerging with a real creature.

Also indeed wither biomerged or not they do have pussies and will sound with either a feminine voice or neutral one depending on the species your partner is.
