Disalign

She was born a fairy, a being of the mindscape (or Shroud, or Aether, The Warp, or Sea of Souls.) made real by the immense feelings of motion felt unanimously powerfully in one concentrated area. Thus an emotovore, she feeds off of the emotion she was born off of, the emotion of hope, and finds herself drawn to interactions where hope can be brought up or nurtured. Her body died as a result of the species she was born to losing hope in their efforts almost immediately, but they found her before she faded away and with their psionic technology saved her soul and kept it together before it submitted to the endless tides of the mindscape. Formulating a brain and skull for her to express her body out of, Disalign became the first being to ever be considered a Codex, a purely virtual psychic being that lives in the mindscape but can enforce their bodies onto the physical world.

In debt to the species she was born from and feeling a natural loyalty to them, she now works for them as a scientist and explorer, her unique state allowing her the ability to explore where nobody else could.

Disalign, while she looks like a fairy, that's simply what she looked like before she died originally. Her biology is that of a Codex: a purely robotic being who's existence is a projection from the mindscape. Every time she takes any kind of damage, a clone of her body is created and teleported away instantly, preserving her existence. Her power exists within the Codex Skull, a technological artifact that ties her existence to the physical realm. The Codex Skull exists in one of her clones in constant superposition, always changing. It is her only link to the physical world from her true home: the endless ocean of thought, the realm of Dreams and Nightmares.

The universe she was born into and finds residence in was a strange one. All magic, from her understanding, is brought upon from the immense psionic power of a god with dominion in the psionic realm over, say, fire. User's of psionics were akin to users of divine magic, in such a case, due to psionics being the source of the powers of gods. Gods in this universe can create beings in their domains, these are known as angels. Beings born into a gods domain without the interference of the domain owner is known as a daemon. All beings born into the psionic realm without a domain to call home is known as a wisp. Wisps that become attatched to an emotion or domain and then absorb enough power in a single location of that domain or emotion become born into the physical plane as a fairy of that domain or emotion, and then find sustainance off of that domain or emotion.

The god's sprouted up in the universe as simply the oldest unaging wisps got their control over seemingly random domain's or emotions, all dependent on the existence of the randomly sprouting seeds of life. In this sense, the god's existence are both caused by and dependent on the existence of beings in the physical plane. They are, however, much more powerful due to weilding the primordial forces of the universe by birthright. God's that become fairies are denied their domain for the entire duration they exist within the physical realm and can no longer lord over their domain, but they become the most powerful fairies weilding the most powerful "magics" known to existence. Fairies that have enough mental capacity to exist within both realms can become their own lord, and physical beings who force themselves into the psionic realm become by nature wisps and fairies, sort of like ascension.

In the early existences of her realm, the angels and daemons of the domains began to work together to overthrow the gods of the universe. Unable to combat the power of their collective creator, the beings decided that an existence with a god lording over them was worse than a lack of existence due to the abuse of the divine beings, and thus waged war against the denizens of the physical plane. Forgoing their domain and becoming wisps, these beings forced their way into the realm through collective might rather than becoming fairies, ending up as soul sucking energy vampires that went on a reign of terror and destruction throughout the cosmos.

While this was fairly young in the cosmic sense, the oldest species known as The Ethereals and The Silence by their known neighbors was a technological might to behold, boasting knowledge most would never be able to conceptualize. Being the species whos home galaxy in which these unbidden invaders began their reign of terror, these near-primordial fungoids took it upon themselves to defend all other life from the extra-existential invaders. A naturally psionic race, the ethereals had the ability to fight them off, but only enough to go directly even with the invaders. After thousands of years of grueling destruction, the seemingly chosen immortal leader of the race Analla Vanloth push them back to their entry portal and went inside, destroying all she found with power granted to her by the very invaders unintentionally.

Around this time is where the hope of the Ethereal species becan to rise, and one of the wisps of the realm grew enough in power off of hope and happiness grew powerful enough to pop into existence as a fairy. She was known as Disalign. Analla however disappeared, hope going down instantly.. but in actuality, Analla went on the largest reign of terror ever seen in ethereal kind, absorbing the power of each and every daemon and angel she came upon, eventually destroying and absorbing the power of each divine being that graced the cosmos, destroying every divine being and becoming the controller of all the domains, securing the physical realm as completely defended against invasions from the mental plane. Analla Vanloth, the chosen leader of the ethereals, is in her realm the ultimate god of all domains, and all ethereals because of this are all beings with the power to exist within both realms at once. Codi, or Codex's thus are the angels and fairies of this universe.

The codex were originally an attempt at extending the life and power of the ethereals. Each one can be invaded and made into an avatar of their personal ethereal. Disalign, being the first made codex, is the vessel of Analla herself. Only with permission or in entirely dire circumstances will Analla invade Disa's brain, turning the fairy into the avatar of the god of all things.. which in realms not her own turns the fairy into one of the most powerful diving beings to contend with. In this form, she is literally Analla, who is normally a kind ruler but is required here to save her best scientist. She, in such a state, will be cold and ruthless, and won't be afraid to use her full power in a formless destructive form.
