TLDR: Weird druidic ghost shadow faerie thing that likes to mess around with humans

Description: Among the fae-folk of the world, not all magical creatures are bright, colourful fairies or incandescent sprites. Out in the wilderness and along the edge of the countryside, there's plenty of murky darklings and mysterious shadowsouls.
Dubhan (Pronounced Dew-Ann) is a druidic spirit of healing medicine, kin of beings like Telesphorus and the Hooded Spirits. He's a playful, bratty little creature who delights in mischief and trickery, but his heart is still kind of in the right place.
He's fully willing to help cure the ill, or heal the wounded who might stumble across him on the roads at night or when trapsing through the dark forests. Often times though he's fully willing to do so just for the sake of having a healthy meal to scarf down on. The cunning blackened sprite was once part of the faerie lands of Arcadia, but over time grew quite affectionate for the humans who would seek him out for healing. That's to say nothing for how delicious he found them over time!
Not wanting to remained enthralled to the magics and whims of the faerie world for the rest of eternity, Dubhan eventually migrated fully to lurking around in the shadows and gloomy woodlands of the human world. Always willing to help a stranger out, always willing to demand a meal in repayment for that help.

Personality: Dubhan is a studious, almost bookish creature. He knows hundreds of healing spells and thousands of tricks, entire centuries worth of druidic wisdom. Like most faeries though, he prefers to keep that knowledge to himself, only willing to share it if it can be pried out of him with wager, deceit, or barter.
He's actually rather interested in adding to his already impressive pool of knowledge, fully willing to seek out and do business with other magical creatures or spellcasters if he thinks he can gleam information from them. Often times, if he's not in a mood for pleasentries, he might simply absorb the knowledge or magic for himself by devouring the individual who possesses it.
Despite his bratty and self centered attitude, he's a good samaritan deep down. Dubhan generally doesn't pick or target anyone who's wounded or ill, not until he's healed them first. Even though he can abuse his magic powers, he'll mostly use them on people at his own size and strength.
Even though he's since left the faerie world behind, Dubhan is still on good terms with a lot of his magical peers, although they're not immune to his trickeries or playful attitude either.

Misc Information: While he might be a powerful faerie, he can still get defeated, outwitted and eaten. That shadowy, whispy body could easily end up gulped down, and a potential predator would in such a scenario be greeted with a nice minty, sweet taste.
