Historical Background

Defeated. The last thing Dumah remembered was his death. Nothing else. Centuries passed in a limb, his clan doomed to a savage life and extinction, his brothers turning into monsters, the best of them accused of betrayment, and he was one of the two who sent him to his fate. Yet he came back, he slaughtered the others, and Dumah was only the last of them.

Once a noble warrior of humanity, murdered by an innatural being with all the others, powerless watching his brothers dying, and then took once more to life, as a vampire, decades after his end by the Mighty Kain, the Scion of Balance himself as his warrior, again with his brothers. Mighty warrior, terror of humans. Then the betrayal, a dark age of war, and his second death, impaled and his soul freed in the Limb, to hunt weaker souls, obtaining even more power than before, reaching picks forbidden to other vampires, almost becoming 'divine'.

But then the betrayer returned, and rescued his soul, just to kill Dumah once more with fire, unable to defeat him in any other way, the body invulnerable to any other attack. And then again the Oblivion, nothing but darkness until..A light. Hope, redemption, hate, revenge, life, death.

No, nothing of that. He was somehow summoned from the Limb by something far more powerful that anything else he ever met. A new world for him? A new dimension? A new...Limb? No, he felt the powers filling his flesh, he felt alive again. He was returned. Dumah, the Vampire was again allowed to live. But why? And why an ancient cathedral was the place of his birth? He walked away from that place, starting to feast upon a couple of thieves who dared to stop him. Luckilly their robberies offered a nice amount of money, used by the vampire to obtain informations about the new hunting ground he was allowed to explore.

Using his power of hipnosis he quickly reached the top of social life, again in the very elite of the world. Feasting with humans, joining their parties, sometimes feasting ON humans, but only when needed. There was no party where he was not invited, not a lady who hoped to avoid his piercing eyes, a man who somehow begged for a high five, or a conversation about that whine or the new car around. The new life truly got him, and the old world so distant.

Yet he felt the loneliness after the third decade. The new world so different, his kind forever lost, the Dumahim only a memory in his mind, wich caused him more than once to return in the cathedral and cry for his own stupidity. For what he did to his kind, to his sons. He met other vampires, mostly considering him an intruder, but no one survived to said the tell. He felt not mercy for them, not even when they begged him for mercy. Where he lived, clan wars were common, and mercy was a priviledge wich costed him to end in the Limb. Some humans as well hoped to join him, as immortals followers, but recreating his clan, the Dumahim, was not what he wanted. He learned that big numbers of vampires only caused troubles, so why causing again a tragedy?

Powers

Different from other vampires, Dumah has some handful tricks he alone can control. Of course he can use hipnosis to 'persuade' his target to offer no resistance, his strenght is far more superior than the normal human, and not even other vampires are a real match for him in close combat. His weapon mastery is touching the line of 'cheating', since he spent millennia training in the use of any kind of sword, axe, mace, spear and so on. Lately he discovered gun-powered weapons, and his innatural ability only helped him to discover all the secrets of any shooting or explosive weapon.

Another interesting thing is that in ages spent in the Limb he became a Mind-Paria, wich means he is immune to any power used to force his mind, be it hipnosis, or Jedi tricks. Even the seducing aura of a succubus would not work on him. Want him to be yours? Then work hard, it is the only way. His saliva as well is a program itself. On humans it can heal after he drinks their blood, while on undead beings it manages to cause a strange kind of self-combustion Dumah controls. Be careful if he even gives you a kiss. It would be the last of your no more immortal life.
