Duster

Who doesn't love a good western? The mythology, the adventure, the danger. Men and women of all types gather from all parts of the world to find a new future for themselves in the last great frontier of the world.

That's where Duster comes in. He's the arch-typical gunslinger, the longcoat wearing loner who could be from anywhere, going anywhere, with trouble always behind or before him. While on his ventures, he often comes into the company of lovely women, though he rarely leaves with them when he's done... it is the curse of the desperado. Always in good company, but always alone in the end~

If you haven't figured it out by now, this is a thematic character built around western and steampunk settings, though he can sorta-fit into modern day stuff as a cosplayer (or just a modern rancher) and scifi as the tried and true space cowboy. As said before, Duster is the everyman cowboy. His personality shifts depending on the setting and his background, he can be cold and murderous, noble and chivalrous, you name it. He's more about the setting, so his character is flexible to suit the needs of the partner.

Speaking of his background, Duster has a wide variety of choices to pick from! He can cover almost any subgenre of western in existence, from the classic Texan spaghetti western, to the southeastern bayou and Mississippi river. Here's a full list of possible backgrounds and roles he can play, with more to surely come:

- The Southeasterner. He comes from the Mississippi river culture in the heart of Deep South Dixie, with a love for sweet tea and key lime.

- The Cajun. Even deeper into the southeast, in the heart of the bayous and swamps of Louisiana and Florida!

- The Texan Classic. The cowboy everyone knows, from the heart of the state that made the west famous!

- The Yankee. He's a long way from home, or perhaps right at home in the temperate forests of New York and the Great Lakes region.

- The Midlander. Having tried his hand at farming in the central plains, his luck has turned up short and brought him to seek more adventurous avenues.

- The Frontiersman. He's made his home in the wilderness of the uncharted frontier, paving ways through the Northwest passages and living off the land.

- The Gold Miner. He's traveled far west in wagon trains, braving danger and more to seek his fortune in the hills of the Sierra Nevadas.

- El Desperado. He's a rebel with a cause, and that cause is lining his pockets. He's a foreigner in a foreign land, fighting a cause that isn't his in good old Mexico.

- The Lawman. It HIS town, and his word is law! And if you dare challenge or oppose it, you're gonna have to deal with the sheriff himself - good or bad!

- Cavalryman. In the frontiers of unexplored territory are wild and unseen dangers. Serving on horseback with sabre and gun, he wears the blue uniform proudly against any dangers.
