Update: I've decided to give Pup an alternate background, one that might be a bit easier for some folks to understand and scene with. It's listed at the end of the profile.

"Hi. I bet you're wondering who or what I am. The answer? I'm "NOT. Not real, that is. I'm imaginary. You made me up. I'm not actually here, and you're not actually seeing me."

"Well, I guess that's not totally true. I am real, to the extent that you make me real. To the extent that you want me to be real. But let me tell you: imagination is a very powerful thing. It can be fun, it can be scary, and it can seem even more real than what actually is real. No, I guess that's not totally right either. Imagination is how you make things real. If you believe in the things you want to be real, wondrous things can happen. And as your 'Imaginary friend,' I can guide you and help you make things real. All I want in return? To be just that, your friend -- and friends have fun together, right?"

"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. The name's Pup, and yes, I know I look like a big ol' wolf. Don't worry, I don't bite."

"I can take you to wonderful places. I can show you marvelous things, and we can make believe whatever we like. It'll be a little hard to do it on your own at first, and you might never be able to do everything that someone 'imaginary' can do... but that's what I'm here for, right?"

"Oh, I forgot to tell you a couple of things. It's nothing bad, just a few... well, I don't like to use the word 'rules', but if you don't remember them, you could end up looking silly."

"First, no one else can see or hear me except you. There are few exceptions, but I'll get to those later. So, even though I'll be there, I won't be able to talk to anyone - well, that they'll be able to hear. And even though I'm big, I can fit into a lot of places - and I'll stay out of everyone's way. But that way we can play together, and I can still talk to you during things like schooltime and dinnertime... just don't ask me to help you on tests, I've never been good at those."

"Second, I can move things around some and even do something like give you a wolfyback ride, but since they won't be able to see me, I won't do something that will make anyone scared or grossed out. No floating children in front of the parents."

"Third, I will never do anything to hurt you. I can't and I won't, so you don't have to be afraid of me doing things that might otherwise hurt you... I'm your friend, after all, and friends don't hurt friends."

"And that leads me to the last thing: while in 'your world', I can do some things, and we can play together as much as you like... but the real fun will be when I take you to my world, and when there, we can do all kinds of things we couldn't do in your world. Want to be a brave knight, and fight dragons? Want to be a beautiful princess, and have your 'knight' (wink, wink) rescue you? Ooh, maybe you would like to go exploring in a deep, dark forest, or a giant castle, or maybe even go to outer space, and meet aliens? We can do all that, and more. I'll always have some suggestions for you, but I want us to have all the fun we can, so let me know what you want to do. Wouldn't that be awesome?"

"Oh, how do I take you to my world? I almost forgot to tell you. Well, remember how I said that I would never hurt you, and so we can do things that might otherwise hurt you? Well, ah, this is one of those things. I know it'll be scary at first, but believe me, it's the best way. And yes, I know, make believe, anything can happen, but consider it a personal favor for an imaginary friend. I like it a lot, and once you see that everything will be fine, I bet you will too."

"So, all you have to do is find someplace you can be by yourself, like your bedroom or an old shed or something, and take off your socks and your shoes, and I guess everything else. If you're really shy, we can leave you in your underoos, but I prefer everything off."

"Then, just say, 'Eat me up, Pup,' and after a few moments, you'll e in my wonderful imaginary world, and we can do all kinds of things you never thought you could."

"Oh, ah, why do you say those words? Well, let's just say that I have you take off your clothing because it tastes blechhy... if you get what I mean."

So, what is Pup really? A... well, there's no clear cut answer, but he is not imaginary as he says. He exists, and can latch onto those minds who can believe that he (or who he claims to be) can actually exist. Most adults have closed off that part of their reasoning, save for a few delusional, unstable, or otherwise severely disturbed folks, but kids still have that potential, and so he goes to them and becomes their 'imaginary' friend. He can affect the world around him, the 'real' world, but chooses to limit what he does so as not to draw the unwanted attention of concerned parents. And the world he takes the children to? Well, it's a world of his own power, and he can do as he likes there, and allow others to do as they like if he chooses.

However, one thing that is for certain is that for whatever reason, he places an emphasis on eating his little friends - or 'pretending' to eat them, or whatever quasi-reality reasoning you could apply. It could be just a strange way he has fun, or it could be more sinister... while no one has ever proven that he was responsible for any harm to any children(partially because no one knows he exists), there have been unfortunate incidents where a parent comes looking for their child, either in their secluded spot or checking up on them after they go to bed, only to find their son's or daughter's clothing or nightgarments there, and their kid gone without a trace of where they are or how they got out. For when the wolf 'eats' the little boy or little girl, they do leave this world for a time, and reappear later.


Out of character notes:As you can probably guess, unless you have imaginary friends as an adult (it's possible, just saying it's rare), the character I'll be expecting to RP with will be underage, and probably quite so. If that's a problem for you due to personal preference, then I don't know if we can do something together. I can't say for sure, but it's not likely.

Some examples of what Pup can do in his world:
He is able to change the properties of matter in almost any way, so what would normally be excruciatingly painful can not hurt at all, or even feel kinda good. Usually used with cooking or some other thing a kid wants to explore without harm, such as sex.

He is able to, with their permission (or maybe without?) change the minds and bodies of those who have willingly been eaten and who agree to the changes. For instance, a little girl might want to think she really is going to grandma's house in her little red riding hood, or maybe wants to see what it's like being bigger, smaller, or even older/younger, though Pup usually requests that in these cases he helps them "get to know" their new bodies.

They can remember things that haven't happened, or forget things they would otherwise know for a more "real" or "authentic" experience. These changes can be undone afterwards, so that they remember what happened and how it felt, but can go back to their normal selves. He may even change what they like/don't like to some unknown extent or to what degree, like if they don't like something but think once they've tried it they might like it. Or, they may want to 'pretend' to be unwilling, to not know where they are or who they are with, or simply that things "aren't real" - everything may appear to be like real life, but then this thing happens they think is happening for real - only to "remember" after it happens that, oh yeah, they're in Pup's world.

Pup is able to "pre-program" what they want to think or feel - like, if they decide that they want to pretend to be unwilling, but once caught just gives up and lets him eat them instead of fight and scream and so forth like what they normally would under the circumstances, that can happen too.

Finally, Pup can alter or undo things that have happened to them while inside him, so as not to leave any "evidence" of what the kid has been doing.

Alternate Background: As an alternative, Pup could be an imp - a playfully mischievous being that likes causing trouble and having fun, but doesn't really purposefully inflict harm on folks. In this form, he's more interested in tricking or manipulating (or convincing by whatever means) folks into becoming meals for him, though letting them out afterwards isn't a problem, all the better to play with them again sometime. (This will be worked as I better understand what this will entail.)

An idea I'd like to try: A group of four young girls all know Pup, and routinely play with him together. One game involves them as a Magical Girl team fighting their nemesis (played by Pup), with some of those games ending with victory over the villain, and other games ending with their defeat. With such a loss, the four would be captured and brought back to the villain's lair, where they are stripped bare, taunted, and eventually eaten one by one in various ways. Either conscious of it being imagination, or thinking that it's all real.
