Appearance: An underweight Eevee with white and gray fur, per the "shiny" moniker. His mane of fur is often messy and has small twigs sticking out of it often. His fur is also dirty due to living outside and not taking very good care of himself. Is wearing a velcro strap with a cassette player covered in stickers from the 90s and a set of headphones strapped to his back. Within that cassette player is a mix tape containing his favorite songs. On two of his legs, as well as on his back, beneath his fur, he has some rather deep scars from being bitten multiple times by a hungry Poochyena

Backstory: Oh how the mighty have fallen. It all started simply enough. This fella (Though as a human) had an interview with a woman who claimed to be a witch, and asked her a number of questions she deemed offensive. Thus, in her final act before leaving him be, she cursed him, threatening to make it worse if he actually published their interview. Now normally, you'd think bad luck or sickness would follow. The next day, he awoke to find himself as an Eevee, and a shiny one at that! Suffice to say, he deleted the interview from his computer that morning as soon as he realized what was happening.

He at first tried to keep this under wraps, paying his bills electronically, living off his savings, and paying friends to bring him groceries, claiming he was super sick and asking them via email, having them be left at the door. Meanwhile, he had been searching for the woman who did this to him...which proved a challenge as his vocal cords weren't exactly cut out for the tongue of man anymore. One day, he discovered his savings were running dangerously low, and when the landlord came to evict him, he found nothing but a small fuzzy animal. Fleeing from what was once his home, and having to see his former possessions be repossessed, he's taken to living on the streets.

It was one day while eating a flaxseed bagel out of a dumpster that he decided to face a reality he could deny no longer: This sucked eggs. He couldn't continue like this. To that end, he's set out on a journey to find the woman who did this, and to force her to turn him back, one way or another. He's confident he can make her do it, what with his new sharp teeth and claws. Sure, he can't speak english anymore. Sure, he has trouble walking unless it's on all four paws, and he's recently had to get used to his newer functions like a more powerful sense of smell and animal instincts. Sure, he's homeless and he sucks at foraging and hunting for food. Sure, he's small and crunchy for any bigger animal. Sure, he's now susceptible to pokeballs and being caught and...forced to fight if it happens. Yeah this journey is going to be a lot harder than he thought...

One particularly horrifying realization has come to light. His human memories seem to be vanishing. Sometimes, he'll find himself forgetting who he was, or why he's the way he is. He doesn't know if this is part of the curse or just a more animalistic mind taking over. To that end, he's taken to listening to the music on his cassette player daily, to remind himself of his old life.

Personality: Before his transformation, Kai was a friendly, if not slightly haughty man who bore his opinions loud and proud, and he took great pride in his work. Since his change however, he's become far more wary of others, having a hard time trusting people after realizing he'd continue to be treated like an animal with no human intelligence.

He's determined to get his old life back at any cost, and to that end, has suffered much bodily harm along the way, whether it be from the wild, people who caught him trying to steal food, or a woman forcing him to wear a silly little dog sweater he had to endure for a few days while living with her when it was too cold to keep going along his journey, a fact he's made a mental note to never speak of. This determination carries over to battle as well.

Though it has not happened very often, he has felt something awaken within him when his life was in danger. During a squabble with a hungry Poochyena, despite being bitten, the delerious and dehydrated Eevee fought back like a man possessed and scared off his foe, though not without gaining some significant scars. Part of him thinks it felt good, that rush of adrenaline, that surge of strength. The other part of him tries his best to forget it because he thinks it's a sign of giving in to his far more animalistic side, and he's frightened of losing himself if that happens.

When pushed too far, he's been known to have tantrums. After a set of really bad days, or finding out the woman he's chasing is much further away than expected, he's not advserse to rolling around on his back, whining, yelling, hitting trees and the ground, and generally being very irritable. This extends to some of the trials he's faced, as he feels he's come too far to just end up as food for something else, or to be a plaything for someone to keep as a pet or make battle for them.

Despite all of this, he's also something of a bleeding heart, sometimes to his own detriment, and his attempts at helping others in need have led to him being humiliated, hurt, scared, and left wondering if this journey is really worth continuing...

(TLDR; a former news reporter turned shiny Eevee, set off on a journey across the world to find the person who changed him so he can be turned back. May or may not have perfect IVs, whatever makes for a more interesting story with my partner. He's a complete buttmonkey and awful stuff continues to happen to him on his wayward journey, be it being caught by jackass trainers, being attacked by wildlife, being taken to the pound after being caught sneaking garbage for food, etc. Is open for play with all types of characters, not just Pokemon themed. Can also be played in a more humanoid form for those who are so inclined. I'm always happy to take suggestions or questions. If you don't see something in my preferences, just ask.)
