Elani




Background

A typical day for Elani is spend drinking whatever alcohol happens to be in arms reach, smoking as many cigarettes as she can, and occasionally pounding out a column for the paper that gives her money for some reason. This is of course an exaggeration, but you get the idea. Elani is a young gonzo journalist, who had the incredible luck of being one of the first writers for a growing news paper. She became a staple writer for the Skeleton Key New, and as long as she gets her weekly column in, her editor promises not to gut her alive. It's a pretty good gig all things considered. Normally she lives in dingy apartments or on what ever couch or bed wakes up on.

Currently she is taking a break to write a book that she got an advance on. What it's going to be about, she has no idea. She moved to the town just outside of Nexus Park to get away from some of the more obnoxious parts of city life, and some vague hope that it would help
her write her book.

Elani is a loud, obnoxious, rake of a girl. She assumes that all people are idiots unless proven otherwise, and is almost incapable of carrying on a conversation without heckling the person that she is talking to. Typically she dresses in ripped and beaten jeans, with black T-shirt or tank top. her hands are almost never without a pair of fingerless gloves on them. Elani's hair is long and black, and her skin is very pale from years of sleeping during the daylight hours. Her eyes are a bright green. On her right shoulder there is a swirled tattoo pattern. She just woke up one day and it was there, fully healed and done. She doesn't know how she got it, but she hates it.
