UPON THE SHROUDED MOUNTAIN
In a time before men began to write down all happenings and call it 'history', the Shrouded Mountain was home to a creature most uncommon and dreaded by all who learnt of its presence. Seldomly, it would leave the safety of the dark caves and even rarer were the sights of fire spewn from the winged beast. But it sufficed to serve as fertile ground for legend and myth to grow, and ever since, the Shrouded Mountain became a place avoided by the common folk, for man fears what he cannot understand.
Eldrennoth, as the ancient tongues of man called him, knows little of his past, since for an immortal, seconds, years, or centuries are one and the same. All he can recall is, that he was not unlike a human, once, long ago. And that whatever power he was granted allows him to perform deeds no other creature, man or beast, seem to be capable of. To change forms and appearance completely, speak in the tongues of man, beast and tree and bend the laws of nature itself.
The Black Dragon - a simpler name the locals have begun using - cares little for power and destruction though. Clad in shadow and secrets, he lingers on in pursuit of purpose, and of things a mortal mind may not hope to ever truly understand.
And now, after all these years, new life has come into this land. Men, elves, dwarves, and beastfolk dare come near the Shrouded Mountain once more, unknowing of the ancient secret it still holds.
ELDRENNOTH - THE BLACK DRAGON
An immortal creature, Eldrennoth has developed noticable wisdom of nature, and the secrets that hide in dark and silent places.
He could be considered mysterious and rather serious in the few meetings he has with sentient beings.
The ability to change forms is only the peak of the powers that lie beneath, such as great strength and magical understanding. He is however bound by the chains of a world that knows might far greater than his. While effectively invulnerable to blade and hammer, he does not seek battle, for even his power has its limits.
He sometimes finds himself with a feeling of loneliness, while his gleaming eyes pierce throught the darkness of the starlit night.
His draconic blood allows him to take the shape of a truly magnificent mighty beast. Although permitting to reach great physical strength, this form limits mental fokus and kindles the flame of uncontrollable wildness.
TL;DR / OOC
A calm, ancient, charismatic (at least I hope so) and somewhat well-spoken, shape-shifting Dragon, played by an experienced, open-minded an friendly player who can articulate on a decently high level. This is a most flexible character able to fit a wide variety of scenes, short and long, light-hearted and story-driven. Uses vocabulary straight from a bad hi-fantasy novel.
