Seri's tale is a woeful one, even by Drow standards. Once upon a time she was a member of the upperclass and enjoyed all the perks of a matriarchal society. But a few wrong moves caused the demise of her house and probably one of the worst punishments a drow could receive: being banished to the realm of men! Most would've taken their own lives for sure, but somehow the poor drowess endured!
Several months later and, after a lot of effort, she is finally starting to settle down. Not to say she doesn't hate it here, because she does. She really does. It's far too bright and way too noisy! The traffic is bad and people give her dirty looks. But it's not like she can do anything about it.
Gone are the glory days of a glamorous mansion and extensive wealth. All traded in for a 'cozy' studio apartment and a meager salary which, by the way, she gets by working to preserve and maintain the beauty of the various parks around town. That's right. She became a park ranger. And she hates that, too, like everything else in her life! All that nature, all that sunlight. It's almost enough to drive a Drow mad! But again, it can't be helped; it's not like she has any job experience!
But not all is doom and gloom for Seri. She still has cable TV and all kinds of booze. It does cheer her up, somewhat. And the modern life makes it a little easier.
