Emerald is one of
Saph_Hearthcrown's original daughters, “part of the first generation”, like her sister Quartz, meaning she's not an Unbirth Daughter like Amber, but a child of Sapphire and
May_Goldacre.
Emerald is an Artificer by trade, a mechanical mage, specialising in making magical contraptions, most notable the magical engine that pulls along the family's caravan, and the space-fold magic that lets it be bigger inside then outside, as well as helping Opal maintain the teleport network between the towns of hearthycrown and its trade caravans and markets.
Emerald has her own Workshop back at the family home, built away from the main building incase experiemnts go wrong, it can be accessed via the main building or an underground passage in the basement. A little cottage ontop with a tower, and a large stone basement.
