Errant Investigations. Aidan still isn't sure if they love that name or hate it, but they got a huge stack of business cards on sale that they need to burn through before they think about changing it, so they're stuck with it for the moment. Aidan is a paranormal investigator. Exorcist. Monster hunter. Demon slayer. Whatever you want to call them. Well, preferrably not something like fraud. Not a huge fan of that one. Even if sometimes it's more true than Aidan would like to admit. After all, ghosts might be real, but they aren't exactly common... more often than not a 'haunting' might just be a rat problem, a leaky pipe, or just plain paranoia. Doesn't mean Aidan wont take those jobs, though. Have to pay the bills somehow.

Appearance

Aidan's a tall, athletic thing. Scraping just shy of six and a half feet tall (about 193 cm). Pale as a ghost, with long legs and thick, pitch black hair that never quite looks neat. Eyes are a a stormy grey, with a splash of freckles underneath them across Aidan's nose and cheeks. Aidan's athletic, some real definition to their figure, not that it's easy to tell with the baggy clothes they always tend to wear. Likewise with the tattoo that spirals across their left bicep. Not much for formal wear, usually. Cargo pants, ratty sneakers, t-shirts and hooded jackets. That kind of thing is standard fare, though sometimes you can catch 'em in something else.

Personality

Aidan will try to put of a facade of being unphased by everything, of being aloof and distant. Professional and only really interested in the job. That is just a facade though. Aidan's impulsive, a little bit ridiculous and a little too willing to throw themselves into the fire. Self-care isn't their strong suit. Not that Aidan will ever admit to as much. A little bit too curious too. Too willing to dabble in weird occult nonsense. Not that Aidan is a sorcerer by any stretch. It'd be more accurate to call them a scavenger, collecting esoteric whatever salvaged from investigations and mysteries, on the off chance they might prove useful later and the hope they don't come back and bite Aidan in the ass.

Aidan Burke is a setting flexible paranormal investigator, wandering hero, adventurer, or something like that. They've always been deeply fascinated with the occult. Ghosts, spirits, monsters. Eldritch phenomena. Stuff like that. So the chance to try to turn that into a career by hunting things like that has been the opportunity of a lifetime. Even if it doesn't always work out. Ghost hunting doesn't exactly pay the bills super well, y'know?

Aidan Burke is pretty tall and lanky, just a couple inches short of six and a half feet tall (they're like 194cm). Gratuitously pale, with thick black hair that seems almost permanently messy and smokey eyes. It's rare to see Aidan not look tired. Equally rare to see them in any sort of outfit that isn't baggy cargo pants, t-shirts and various types of loose jackets. Except maybe in the summer. That's probably why Aidan hates the summer, tbh. Hard to wear a jacket when it's so damn hot out. Ugh.

As for their personality. Aidan means well, even if they don't always know how to express it. They have a tendency to act cool and aloof. More professional than they really are. More composed than they really are. But under that veneer of professionalism they're impulsive, sometimes too quick to act and definitely not really the sort of person to spend much time thinking about self care.
