The Nexus, to most, may come off as a relatively safe place full of countless stores, joyful citizens, and plenty of money to go around. This, however, isn't entirely true. After all, every city has a "bad part", as it were. Though most of the city shines with prosperity, the same can't be said for the area nicknamed The Rat District. As one can easily guess, it isn't exactly the nicest area. The poverty-stricken neighborhood is considered the underbelly of the city, where crime runs rampant and you either keep your head down, or get shot. The kind of place mothers tell their children to avoid at all costs. This is the place Evelyn calls home.

Born in The Rat District to a struggling family, Evelyn quickly needed to learn how to survive on her own. Food was scarce, and her parents weren't exactly much help when it came to making money thanks to their dependency on drinking. At the age of 13, they finally came to the conclusion that they couldn't feed three people, and gave Evelyn the boot. Living on the streets was far from ideal, but it wasn't like she hadn't expected to be kicked out sooner or later. It had only been a matter of time, and she had already gained many of the skills required for surviving in such a harsh environment. She quickly took to theft, and before long, got wrapped up in even more dangerous criminal activities for many of the crime families within Nexus City.

She became a trafficker, and an incredibly skilled one at that, taking on the dangerous task of preforming exchanges for gangs. They give her a suitcase, she drops it off, picks up the money, brings it to her employer, and gets paid. Simple as that. She never asks questions, and very rarely even knows what she's delivering. In the beginning, she had been curious, but quickly learned that it was best to keep her mouth shut. After all, the last thing she wanted to become was a loose end that knew to much. Evelyn does, however, have a rule. NEVER join one of the many crime organizations she does jobs for. She remains a neutral party, keeps her head down, and does as she's asked. In that regard, she's one of the more trustworthy individuals in Nexus City.

Evelyn herself is a slim, clever redhead who's quick on her feet. She often travels in the shadows when on a job, sticking to alleyways or leaping across roof tops. Personality wise, she isn't the type to seek attention. She wants to survive, plain and simple. She can sometimes be kind, but often, her suspicion of others gets in the way. There is, however, one thing she has in spades. Confidence in regards to her abilities. She's one of the best, and she's well aware of it. And although she isn't the type to go shouting about how great she is, she does harbor pride for her skills. Though, were it actually her choice, her lifestyle wouldn't center around crime. She may be good at it, but that doesn't mean she enjoys working with individuals who could make her disappear without a trace in a city where no one even knows her name. And despite her confidence, she's incredibly envious of those who harbor wealth, and watches the rich folks of Nexus City with an admiring expression of curiosity and longing.
