Felix was once an ordinary cat, who did ordinary cat things in the background of an ordinary slice-of-life story. Then, the story changed, the genre shifted, the continuity snarled. Through sheer chance, the simplest way to rectify this included Felix retroactively becoming a catboy.

And so it was. Eventually, the story came to a close. A nice, happy ending for everyone. The world went on, of course, but Felix was left aimless. He was a background character, the kind who (outside of that one scene) had no real impact on the story. So he wandered, across the setting, out of the setting, and into others.

This all has left Felix with the knowledge that he's just a character. At first, he wandered into the backgrounds of stories, able to observe and blend in seemlessly thanks to his experience as a background character. Then he entered video game settings, and learned from them how to observe and gently twist the rules of the world. Many, many forms of media later, Felix is here, in a chatroom, and understanding that the fourth wall isn't a hard rule. It's merely a suggestion.

As Felix began as a background character, his appearance can vary from scene to scene. He might be almost completely human, or nearly anthro. However, he always has the ears and the tail, and his color scheme never changes.
