A Sciurid (squirrel like yasha) that studied under a Kitchen Witch known as "Meiwui" of the Eastern Continents during the middle years of the Era of Magic. During this time, the activity of witches were at an all time high and the knowledge (and usage) of magic became a widely known phenomenon that took the world by storm. Naturally being born a demon, Fengwei was gifted with his own latent reserves of Devil Mana but, having no way to truly manifest his powers. Wanting to truly discover how he can fully reach his potential, Fengwei left his home in the Jigokusekai and arrived in the mortal realm where he became contracted to Meiwui in return to learning the ways of magic. Meiwui passed onto her student and servant the knowledge of the "Pantry Arts" (Cānjù shì yì), an odd type of martial arts that uses the flexibility of mana to switch elemental focuses to imbue one's fists with enormous magical constructs of food. However, those who become dependent on this martial art are prone to give off a...delicious aroma that entices monsters and demons to feast upon their flesh. This set back is eventually overcome when the user masters the Pantry Arts and 'suppresses' the aroma. Fengwei, being a novice user, is naturally effected by this 'curse' and while Meiwui was more than willing to push him to heights that would allow him to overcome his weakness, a new enemy reared it's ugly mug to prematurely halt their training.
During these years, the Holy Order of Tengoku had grown increasingly antagonistic toward witches and demons and eventually, their belief that the forces of evil were overrunning the human world set into motion a mass genocide of witches known as the "Witch Hunts". Countless upon countless of witches were slaughtered leading many to flee into the Jigokusekai or stand and fight the resistance; Meiwui chose the latter. Wanting to escape the bloodshed before it reached the eastern lands, Meiwui packed what she could and left her student behind, giving him only a small map that would lead him to the area that could help him complete his training. Fengwei was reluctant to separate from his teacher, but ultimately heeded her decision and the two parted ways. Flash forward to the present and Fengwei still wanders the land, searching for what Meiwui called the "Book of Decadence" (Tuifei Shu). To make some sort of living, Fengwei runs a vagrant food stall he drags with him on his journey. Though he has no true place to call home, Fengwei often uses what money he's earned from his stand to shack up somewhere before going back on the road once funds run dry.
Fengwei himself is energetic and rather impish, his swift feet and dynamic demeanor being well suited for his style of fighting. While trained to keep a calm and level head, Fengwei still has moments where he can let his emotions get the better of him and is prone to either panicking or letting his anger dictate his actions. Friendly by default, Fengwei does not mind the company of others and will gladly spend time with those who enjoy his presence. Fengwei is kind and compassionate, never one to fight an innocent unless they prove to show a darker side that endangers the lives of others around him. Being a student of a Kitchen Witch, Fengwei is gifted in the culinary arts and often uses his skills in the kitchen to feed those who cannot feed themselves. He takes compliments to heart and is very easy to make blush or embarrass.
His powers are brought manifest through the Pantry Arts, which allows it's wielder to bring forth a variety of food-based attacks by manipulating their Mana reserves to reflect a distinct "flavor" that corresponds to that certain food group. Fengwei is well versed at using Geo and Flora Mana in this category, which allows him to bring out Fruits and Vegetables in his fighting style.
