Funka is born in a rich family that never really took care of him. Of course, the dog pokemon was living mostly out of his pokeball, and was trained to defend the house, but he was really bored. All he was doing was attacking intruders and devouring them. One day, he sneaked inside the house and swallowed his own pokeball. Upon digesting, the ball freed him from his bounds, and so he ran away to explore the world.
