It is said that the samurai would give their blades names. They believed that their swords had a spirit, a soul, and were in fact living. Turns out, they were right.
Gira is, in a word, a weapon. She is a sword, left unused for far too long. Originally, she was weilded by a great warrior who used her to slice through demons and evil spirits, as well as evil humans. As she was stained by the blod of the dark, she began to gain powers of her own,t hat her weilder used in battle. She gained the ability to absorb energy as she struck an opponent, and give that power to her weilder. Eventually, this power grew, and she gained the ability to fully devour the opponents if she peirced their skin.
However, of course, her weilder was not an immortal, and he eventually passed away. With no one to weild her, she began to starve, until she finally became dormant. Over the years,s he was passed around but never again used, until finally she wound up as a museum peice, just a normal sword. Then, a group of theives broke in and began stealign the peices. Her case was broken in the process, and by pure chance as she fell, her blade peirced on of the theives in the arm. That was more than enough. She took his blood,t hen she began to take on a living form of her own as she began to devour his soul, and soon she found herself weilding the blade, and allt hat was left of the theif was his body. She eagerly and happily devoured that, and then she set out into the park, her blade now sheathed and strapped to her side.
After all those years...she is hungry~
Personaity:
Gira is not a bad person. Normally, she is very kind and sweet, even while she is fighting she does so with a smile. She likes being happy and playful, and she likes making friends. However, she is starving. She has gone so very long, so many years without eating, that when hunger overtakes her, she will swallow anyone she can get her hands on. Of course, she would prefer to eat while fighting, since then there is a higher chance of her eating someone evil instead of someone good, but that is not always the case. Sometimes even her friends can be on the menu~
However, when she is fighting, even though she smiles, she fights to win. Being a sword, and a well crafted sword at that, she is an expert when it comes to battle, able to move her blade at inhuman speeds. Of course, she can't do everything. Her defensive ability is not very good, so she makes up for it with agility, choosing to dodge an attack rather than block it. If her sword is broken, then she will have to expend a large amount of energy to repair it, and she takes a logn time to recover once it's repaired. However, she maintains her absorbtion ability, and if her blade cuts through the flesh of her opponent, she will be able to absorb their energy, and if she can hold the blade there logn enough, she will be able to absorb them into herself.
((This mistake has been made a lot, and it is understandable, so I am putting this here now. She is the sword. HOWEVER, she is able to create an outside body as well, it just so happens to be a kitsune~! You could think of the kitsune as a Clone of her, that she can control, except that the clone is what she would have been if she were born as flesh instead of as a sword))
