History:

Gisela had a less than enviable childhood, to say the least. Born to an elven mother and a human father, Gisela was regarded as a curiosity at best and an affront to blessed, pure-elven blood at worst. Had that been as bad as it got, Gisela would have managed. She had two loving parents supporting her, after all. But, when the elven civil war errupted, Gisela's whole world was turned upside down. The pacifistic royal family was replaced with a War Counsel who believed that above all, Elves were meant to rule and the Lesser races were meant to serve...

At first it wasn't so bad. Gisela's mother had to claim her husband as a slave in order to stay together, but it didn't change life at home all that much. Then, one day several years later, Gisela's father never returned home from picking up groceries. Though both his body and the killer were found, law enforcement did little to see that justice was done. No, rather than jail the murderer, the courts merely mandated the killer provide a replacement slave. Something snapped inside Gisela's mother that day and the previously warm woman grew cold and distant. With a mother who was now far more devoted to currying the favor of nobles than to the wellbeing of her own daughter, Gisela decided she wasn't going to stick around and wait to get murdered in an alleyway like her father. With nothing but the clothes on her back, a sack of gold coins, and her father's sword, Gisela left home at the age of 17 and never looked back.

In the years since, Gisela has found a great deal of success on the road. Her half-breed nature grants a frame as tall as her mother's and as solid and strong as her father. It didn't take the half-elf long to put it to good use swinging her sword around and before long she signed up with a mercenary band. After almost two decades of hard work, Gisela eventually inherited the position of leader and that brings us to today.

More to come! TLDR- A gruff, stoic half-elf mercenary. Values her comrades, but not very good at building and maintaining relationships. Probably thinks you'd be put to better use inside her stomach.
