The project originally was designed for a reclimation of land lost from ice caps melting, but after the failure of the project, the accrewed subjects were sent out to war as a method of recovering money from the failed project.
Giso being one of the suvivors of that war, was brought back into society. Most of her kind were killed attempting to reintroduce them into the human population due to members of the gene splicing project having severe issues socalizing and interacting on a day to day basis. Most died, Giso herself was picked up by a gang which gradually introduced her into her current lifestyle of killing to live. After working under the thumb of this person, aiding in their plans. Unless something else comes up to change that course of life.
