The Era of Creation
--Unknown Time B.S. (Before Sonic 1)--The goddess Illumina and her beloved husband Argus create the world that would become known as the planet Mobius. Over a period of seven days, Argus forms the rock, water, and life that makes up the planet's surface, while Illumina forms the sky, plants, clouds, and other wondrous things to beautify their new paradise.
--Unknown Time B.S.--Illumina becomes pregnant with twins, and eventually gives birth to two sons--Solaris, god of the sun and keeper of time, and Gaia, god of the moon and protector of the elements.
--Unknown Time B.S.--The first signs of sentient life begin to form from the animals of the world.
The Great Cataclysm--The Birth of Dark and Light Gaia
--65,999,996 years B.S.--As a gift for their mother, Illumina, Solaris harnesses his power into six mystical gems to keep the flow of time in balance. These would become known as the legendary Time Stones.
--65,999,996 years B.S.--Sonic Unleashed: Not one to be outdone by his brother, Gaia harnesses his power over the elements into seven emeralds of his own, one for each of the elements of the world--earth, fire, air, water, stone, ice, and light. Unfortunately, in making one more gem than his brother, he pours too much of his godly essence into them, causing his divine form to become unstable and split into two separate entities--Dark Gaia and Light Gaia. Dark Gaia seeks to destroy all life on the planet, while Light Gaia seeks to protect it. Light Gaia manages to seal Dark Gaia deep within the planet's core, beginning their eternal struggle of destruction and rebirth. As punishment for causing such a catastrophe, however, Illumina and Argus force Light Gaia to join his other half in eternal slumber, until they awaken to resume their battle every couple million years.
--65,999,996 years B.S.--Sonic Shuffle: Distraught by the corruption of one of her sons, Illumina leaves the paradise she helped create and uses the power of everyone's dreams to create the Precioustone, which she uses to craft a new plane of existance for herself called Maginaryworld and become known as the Goddess of Dreams.
The Corruption of Argus and the Doubt of Illumina
--9,996 years B.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2/Sonic Unleashed: The ancient civilization of West Side Island begins harnessing the power of Gaia's elemental emeralds for their own selfish purposes. In the process, they manage to awaken Dark Gaia from his eternal slumber, and swear loyalty to the beast in the hopes they will be spared its wrath. Argus and Solaris awaken Light Gaia to combat his other half and seal Dark Gaia back within the planet's core.
--9,996 years B.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2/Sonic Unleashed: As punishment for their evil deeds, the West Side Islanders lose the elemental emeralds they've relied so heavily upon. As a result, their civilization crumbles.
--9,996 years B.S.--Sonic Chronicles The Dark Brotherhood: To ensure that the emeralds can no longer be used for evil, Argus and Solaris pour their divine essence into a Master Emerald to prevent the other emeralds from being corrupted by darkness. The process takes a toll on Argus' mind, driving him mad. Argus becomes extremely judgmental of other races, and creates a plane of purgatory known as the Twilight Cage to imprison those he deems "unworthy". The first to be imprisoned are the people of West Side Island, who become known as the Precursors.
--9,996 years B.S.--Sonic Adventure: Solaris, not wanting to share the same fate as his father, entrusts the Master Emerald and the other elemental emeralds to the Chao and Echidna peoples of a remote continent before submerging into an eternal slumber to rejuvinate his power.
--9,996 years B.S.--Sonic Shuffle: Illumina, watching her family and creations succumb to corruption and insanity, begins to have doubts about her own ability to rule Maginaryworld. This doubt builds within her until it causes her to split into two separate beings--Lumina Flowlight and Void--who wage a battle of light and dark for control of Maginaryworld and the Precioustone.
The Wrath of Chaos and the Angel Island Massacre
--4,885 years B.S.--Sonic Boom Shattered Crystal Comic: Lyric, a member of a powerful race known only as the Ancients, becomes obsessed with the Lost Crystal of Power and attempts to control the resources of the Ancients using an army of technological might to get it. The Ancients shatter the Lost Crystal of Power into several fragments, and use them to imprison Lyric for his crimes.
--3,998 years B.S.--Sonic Adventure: A Chao is mutated by the divine energies of the Master Emerald into the liquified being known as Chaos. Chaos becomes the protector and guardian of the Chao and the Master Emerald, and provides clean water to the area around the Emerald's temple where the Chao live. He comes to be worshiped by the Chao and Echidna tribes as a god, and also forms a bond of friendship with Tikal, daughter of Chief Pachacamac of the Knuckles Clan. Gaia's elemental emeralds become known as the Chaos Emeralds after their guardian.
--3,998 years B.S.--Sonic Adventure: Chief Pachacamac attempts to seize the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald to allow the Knuckles Clan to gain an edge in a conflict with the rival Nocturnus Clan. Tikal stands in her father's way in an attempt to stop him before he angers the Emeralds' guardian, but Pachacamac casts her aside and raids the temple of the Master Emerald, killing and severely injuring many Chao in the process. Chaos emerges from the waters of the temple in a fit of extreme rage, absorbing the seven Chaos Emeralds into himself to become the godlike Perfect Chaos, which slaughters the entire Knuckles Clan. To prevent Chaos from threatening the rest of the world, Tikal seals herself and Chaos inside the Master Emerald, and the surge of divine energy released causes the entire land mass around the temple to ascend into the sky, where it would become known as Angel Island. The only surviving members of the Knuckles Clan are a single family, who would continue to protect the Master Emerald throughout the generations.
--3,995 years B.S.--Sonic Chronicles The Dark Brotherhood: The Nocturnus Clan uses their superior technology to create an army of robotic soldiers capable of absorbing the power of the Chaos Emeralds. The Gizoids are ready to be deployed to Angel Island, before the entire Nocturnus Clan is abducted and sealed away inside the Twilight Cage by the insane Argus, along with their home city, Nocturne. The only remaining Gizoid is left alone and powered down for millennia. Argus scatters the seven Chaos Emeralds across all of Mobius.
The Arrival of the Babylon Rogues, the Black Arms, the Coming of the Humans, and the Rise of Lyric
--2,999 years B.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2: The new inhabitants of West Side Island discover one of the seven Chaos Emeralds and use its power to advance their civilization. They, too, are corrupted by the Emerald's power, and eventually their civilization dies out from their own greed. They come to believe that losing their prosperity was punishment from the gods for their misdeeds, and seal the Emerald away.
--2,996 years B.S.--Sonic Riders Zero Gravity: The Astral Babylon--ancient space-faring vessel of the Babylonian race--experiences a malfunction in its warp drives, the Arks of the Cosmos, that could result in a black hole that could consume the entire planet. The Babylonians are forced to jettison the Arks of the Cosmos into Mobius' atmosphere, causing the ship to crash-land onto the planet's surface. The Babylon Garden--a floating city that once existed as part of the Astral Babylon--serves as home to the Babylon Rogues until it is cast down into the depths of the earth for unknown reasons. Legend has it that the Babylon Rogues brought the wrath of the gods upon them for their crimes of thievery, and that this was the reason the Babylon Garden was cast down.
--1,997 years B.S.--Shadow the Hedgehog: Black Doom and the Black Arms arrive on Mobius via the Black Comet, and construct a flying fortress to assist them in conquering the planet. The remaining Ancients decide to release Lyric from his imprisonment, on the condition that he use his superior technology to assist them in repelling the invasion of the Black Arms. Lyric accepts this offer, and manages to drive back Black Doom's invasion by submerging the flying fortress of the Black Arms into Glyphic Canyon. Black Doom and his forces retreat to the Black Comet, but promise they will return. The Black Comet passes over the planet every fifty years, while Black Doom awaits the perfect opportunity to strike.
--1,996 years B.S.--Sonic and the Secret Rings: The first human settlers arrive on Mobius, intent on establishing a colony on the planet. In the first colony set up in the land dubbed the Neo Arabia desert, humans and Mobians initially live in peace, under the rule of the human king Shahryar Kintobor, and the Mobian king Solomon Acorn. The kings ensure prosperity in their kingdom with the help of a powerful genie known as Djinn. Djinn becomes unsatisfied with serving the kings and attempts to take over the world of mortals, becoming the Erazor Djinn. King Shahryar and King Solomon seal the Erazor Djinn inside a book of 1001 tales, which would become known as the world of the Arabian Nights. They are assisted by the merchant Ali Baba Prower and the adventurer Sinbad Pachacamac--descendant of the Knuckles Clan of Angel Island. Erazor Djinn's magic proves so powerful, that King Shahryar seals him inside a magic lamp within the book until he grants the wishes of 1,000 people. To add to the seal, King Shahyar takes the seven most exquisite rings in the entire kingdom and seals them inside the book as well, writing them in as the seven World Rings, the only means to unlock the barrier between the world of the Arabian Nights and the world of mortals.
--996 years B.S.--Sonic and the Black Knight: The united kingdom of Neo Camelot is laid to ruin with the death of King Arthur Pendragon Acorn by his traitorous son, Mordrid, and the feud between Sir Gawain Pachacamac of Angel Island and Sir Lancelot that disbands the Knights of the Round Table. Merlina, granddaughter of the wizard Merlin, attempts to acquire the sacred sword Excalibur to keep the kingdom alive by handing it to the spirits of the Underworld, but she is stopped by her grandfather Merlin, Sir Gawain, Sir Lancelot, and Sir Percival of the Sol Dimension, who use the sacred swords of Arondight, Galatine, Laevatein, and Excalibur to seal Merlina within an enchanted book. The book is taken to Nimue, the Lady of the Lake, who seals the sacred swords inside to keep Merlina at bay. Merlina's treachery creates a rift of tension between Mobians and humans.
--885 years B.S.--Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric: Lyric, having rejoined Ancient society due to his heroism against the Black Arms, works to unlock the power of the eight sacred Chaos Crystals. The experiments make Lyric very sick and cause his body to degrade. With no medicine able to cure him, Lyric is forced to build a suit to preserve his life, blaming the Ancients for his condition. Using his army of robots, he once again seeks to destroy all organic life. Locating the map to the Chaos Crystals, Lyric is about to retrieve them when his MAIA artificial intelligence unit goes rogue and enlists the aid of two visitors from a thousand years in the future, allowing it to use one of Lyric's Sentinel robots to destroy his base. Lyric is locked inside his own base by a strange blue hedgehog, while the hedgehog's twin-tailed fox companion takes his map to the Ancients' crystals, before the last surviving Ancients locate and imprison Lyric for all time.
The Human/Mobian War
--100 years B.S.--Sonic Adventure 2: A young human researcher named Gerald R. Robotnik--descendant of King Shahryar Kintobor--is brought on to help the development of several human cities, including Central City, Westopolis, and Station Square.

A group of humans and Mobians opposed to the war defect from their factions and retreat to an isolated area of land, where they form the kingdom of Soleanna in devotion to the sun god Solaris.
--50 years B.S.--Julian Robotnik, a pacifist by nature, rescues an injured Mobian from the battlefield and helps him recover back to health while keeping him hidden in his shelter. He finds that the Mobian is actually the prince of Mobius himself--Maximillian Acorn, descendant of King Solomon and King Arthur Acorn--and the two become akin to brothers. Prince Acorn finds that Julian just wants peace as much as he does, and vows to aid him in ending the war. When his father, the king, is killed in battle, the new King Acorn assumes the throne and calls an end to the violence and bloodshed. A new government is formed known as the United Federation, and Julian Robotnik is appointed King Acorn's chief scientist. To ensure this lasting peace is kept, the Guardian Unit of Nations is formed by the humans to enforce it. With King Acorn's assistance, construction of Central City and other human settlement projects is completed.
The ARK Massacre
--47 years B.S.--Sonic Adventure 2/Shadow the Hedgehog: The Black Comet appears in Mobius' orbit. Julian Robotnik's daughter, Maria Robotnik, is diagnosed with Neural Immune Deficiancy Syndrome--a condition which degrades the body's immune system and can potentially be fatal--and needs to be sent away to the Space Colony ARK so her grandfather can search for a cure, leaving her younger brother Ivo still in her father's care on the surface. Gerald Robotnik manages to make contact with the Black Arms, who assist him in creating the ultimate life form, Shadow the Hedgehog--using DNA from the remains of Sir Lancelot of Neo Camelot--in return for Gerald giving them the seven Chaos Emeralds by the time the comet passes again in fifty years. Gerald agrees, but once the Black Comet departs, he begins work on a new weapon for the ARK--the Eclipse Cannon--to destroy the Black Comet upon its return and take the Black Arms out with it.
--47 years B.S.--Sonic Adventure 2/Sonic Battle: Gerald is questioned about his Eclipse Cannon project, and tries to assure the United Federation and GUN that he is building a weapon of defense and that he needs continued funding to do so. Julian Robotnik and King Acorn both vouch for him, but Gerald is denied his funding. Julian locates the last Gizoid and sends it to his father for analysis. Intrigued, Gerald tries to reprogram the Gizoid with free will and submit it to the Federation and GUN as a bargaining chip for additional funds, but the Gizoid goes on a rampage throughout the colony, injuring and killing several staff members before being subdued.
--47 years B.S.--Sonic Adventure 2/Shadow the Hedgehog: GUN, convinced that Gerald is creating weapons of war, sends a squad of its best mercenaries to raid the Space Colony ARK and secure Gerald and his projects while killing everyone else aboard. Shadow the Hedgehog tries to escape with Maria Robotnik, but Maria is shot and killed just as she ejects Shadow down to the planet's surface in an escape pod. Shadow is left unconscious in the crash, before being taken by GUN operatives and stored in a GUN facility.
--47 years B.S.--Sonic Adventure 2: Gerald Robotnik is charged with the death of his granddaughter and conspiracy to create weapons of mass destruction, and sentenced to death. Before his execution, Julian Robotnik tries to visit him in his cell, but is denied entry by GUN operatives. He returns with King Acorn at his side, who demands that his royal scientist be allowed to see his father. Unable to question the king's orders, the guards have no choice but to permit Julian to visit Gerald, who tells him of GUN's raid on the colony and Maria's death at their hands. Heartbroken and furious over his daughter's death, Julian accuses King Acorn of betraying his trust as the king tries to plead with Julian that he had nothing to do with what happened. Julian storms out of the prison and seals himself in his laboratory, swearing revenge upon all of humanity and Mobiankind alike for destroying his family's legacy.
--47 years B.S.--Sonic Adventure 2: Gerald Robotnik is executed, his last words swearing a death sentence onto mankind.

The Solaris Project and the Flames of Disaster
--6 years B.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2006: After defeating the corrupted god Solaris 10 years in the future, Sonic the Hedgehog travels back in time with Princess Elise III to snuff out Solaris' Flame of Hope before he can become a threat, which will wipe the divine being from existance and prevent the cataclysmic events 10 years later from ever happening. Knowing that this means she and Sonic will never meet, Elise confesses she doesn't care what happens to the world, and Sonic tells her to just smile. Elise blows out the Flame of Hope, snuffing Solaris from existance as she and Sonic are transported back to their own time. Another Elise from 11 years in the future--driven mad by brutish insults from across Mobius and other universes--travels back to the point after she and Sonic left, and reignites the Flame of Hope so that the Flames of Disaster will still be present in her timeline, to allow her to access the power of Solaris inside her and become a goddess.

Two mysterious hedgehogs from 10 years into the future--Shadow and Silver--assist the ailing duke in tracking down the released Flames of Disaster before they can threaten the world. As Silver holds the flames of Iblis in place above an altar, the duke uses one of the seven Chaos Emeralds to seal Iblis inside the tears of his daughter, Princess Elise III, before he dies of his injuries. As Silver carries Elise to safety, Shadow tracks down Mephiles and uses Chaos Control to hold him as he seals him inside the duke's royal scepter, transforming it into the Scepter of Darkness. Silver and Shadow return to their own time, with the Flames of Disaster properly sealed.
--6 years B.S.--Princess Elise III from 11 years in the future uses the Time Stones of Solaris to erase all public knowledge of the Flames of Disaster from record, preventing an invasion of Soleanna 10 years in the future and allowing Elise to go through with her plans unhindered.
The Christmas Island Invasion and the Hunt for the Chaos Emeralds

--0 years B.S.--SEGASonic the Hedgehog: Dr. Robotnik invades Christmas Island and kidnaps Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, Ray the Flying Squirrel and Mighty the Armadillo. He takes the three to his base on Eggman Island for study into their apparent super speed, but the three manage to evade Robotnik's traps and confront the doctor in his tower before he sets the island's self destruct. Sonic, Ray, and Mighty escape the island before it explodes.
--0 years B.S.--Sonic, Ray, and Mighty are approached by Princess Sally Acorn, who asks them to join her band of Freedom Fighters against Robotnik.
--0 years A.S. (After Sonic 1)--Sonic the Hedgehog 1 (Master System/Game Gear): Sally is informed about a major buildup of Robotnik's forces on South Island, the very same location of Julian Robotnik's home base, the Scrap Brain. It seems like Robotnik found something of great importance near his father's old base, and Sonic volunteers to find out what it is. Sonic discovers that Robotnik is searching for six powerful gems known as Chaos Emeralds said to be on South Island. Sonic locates the first Chaos Emerald in Green Hill, and drives off Robotnik's invasion force attempting to deforest the area. Robotnik attempts to ambush Sonic as he tries to cross the bridge leading into the jungle--locating the second Chaos Emerald in the process--but Sonic manages to drive him off and escape. Sonic finds the third Emerald in the jungles of South Island, before locating an entrance into the underwater caves of the Labyrinth. After locating the fourth Chaos Emerald in the Labyrinth, Sonic uses the cave system to infiltrate Julian Robotnik's old Scrap Brain base, where Ivo Robotnik is holding the last two Chaos Emeralds. Sonic steals the fifth Chaos Emerald from the Scrap Brain, before pursuing Robotnik up to his father's old Sky Base transmitter, which is controlling most of the robot forces on the island. After finding the final Chaos Emerald in the old transmitter, Sonic boards Robotnik's Flying Battery blimp and confronts him for a final showdown, forcing Robotnik to retreat through a teleporter. Sonic follows him back to Green Hill and comes out of the portal on top of him, damaging his Eggmobile and halting his escape, before using the six Chaos Emeralds to destroy Julian Robotnik's old transmitter and put most of Ivo Robotnik's forces out of commission. The Chaos Emeralds spread across South Island once more.
--0 years A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 1 (Genesis): Sonic discovers that Robotnik is using the inhabitants of South Island to create a new army of robots, so he returns to the Scrap Brain to confront the doctor again and free South Island from his grasp. Sonic locates two of the scattered Chaos Emeralds in Green Hill, before Robotnik arrives to tear down the entire forest with a massive wrecking ball. Sonic manages to drive him off, before locating a set of ancient ruins nearby, where he finds two more Chaos Emeralds. He locates the last two in the Spring Yard amusement park, which is a cover for Robotnik's operations on the island. Sonic then uses the familiar cave system of the Labyrinth to attempt to enter the Scrap Brain, only to find the former route blocked off. Sonic decides to attack the base directly, and creates a diversion in Star Light City to lure Robotnik's forces away from the base. Once inside the Scrap Brain, Sonic attempts to pursue Robotnik, but the doctor activates a trap and sends Sonic falling into a section of the Labyrinth. Sonic manages to traverse the dangerous caves and surface back up inside the Scrap Brain's main core, where Robotnik tries to crush him using the core's main pistons. Sonic severely damages the core of the Scrap Brain, sending the system into overload as Robotnik makes his escape, only for Sonic to damange his Eggmobile as he tries to flee. After the Scrap Brain is destroyed, the six Chaos Emeralds are sent to Miles "Tails" Prower's workshop on Cocoa Island for analysis.
--0 years A.S.--Sonic Speedway: Sonic enters the Mobius World Grand Prix, but must obey the rule that he can only drive a vehicle to win the race, so he learns how to drive a high-speed racecar to beat the competition.
--0 years A.S.--Waku Waku Sonic Patrol Car: As the Freedom Fighters attempt to establish a foothold on South Island in the wake of Robotnik's retreat, Sonic temporarily joins up with Star Light City's police force and stops a plot by Robotnik to attack the city.

The imperialistic leader has made an alliance with Dr. Robotnik for highly advanced technology in exchange for the Chaos Emeralds. Using a variety of bombs, gadgets, and vehicles, Tails repels the Battle Kukku invasion before fleeing the island to get the Emeralds back to the Freedom Fighters.
--1 year A.S.--Tails Sky Patrol: On his way back to the mainland, Tails encounters an island under siege by the evil Witchcart and her gang. Tails steps in and confronts Witchcart at her fortress, but finds out it was an elaborate trap set up by Dr. Robotnik to capture him and obtain the Chaos Emeralds.
--1 year A.S.--Sonic Labyrinth: Sonic is sent out to rescue Tails, but gets trapped in Robotnik's labyrinth. Robotnik replaces Sonic's shoes with a pair of slow-down boots that require Chaos energy to remove. Sonic retrieves the Chaos Emeralds from Robotnik's labyrinth and gets rid of the slow-down boots before escaping, though this was just a plan to collect data on Sonic.
--1 year A.S.--Robotnik uses his research to create a robotic version of Sonic, Silver Sonic 1.0. However, he deems the robot too slow and clunky to be a match for Sonic, and places it on guard duty at his new orbital space station, the Death Egg, which is nearing the final stages of construction. He builds a replacement, Silver Sonic 2.0, and embues it with the remaining Chaos Emerald that was left in the labyrinth. Robotnik also conducts research into creating artificial Chaos Emeralds.
--1 year A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Master System/Game Gear): Robotnik releases a statement saying he is going to execute Tails unless Sonic brings him the six Chaos Emeralds. --1 year A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball: Robotnik uses 16 artificial Chaos Emeralds to power his Veg-O-Fortress built into Mount Mobius. Sonic and Tails head out to bring down the fortress, but Sonic is shot from the Tornado as they approach and falls into the water below. He emerges inside the Toxic Caves, where the unwanted residue and hazardous waste from Robotnik's experiments is pumped out into the waters surrounding the fortress. After opening the main drain plugs, clearing away the barrels of toxic waste from the processing shafts, draining the main tank of toxic sludge, and locating the three artificial Chaos Emeralds that power the waste disposal plant, Sonic defeats the guardian of the Toxic Caves--the Egg Scorpion--and climbs up into the Lava Powerhouse, the main power source of the fortress that uses the lava from the dormant Mount Mobius to fuel the massive structure. After locating the three artificial Chaos Emeralds that power the main steam vent of the facility, Sonic destroys the main boiler, which sets the entire system into an overload process. Sonic enters the main roboticizing chamber of the fortress, which is powered by five artificial Emeralds. After breaking into the animal prison and freeing Robotnik's captives, Sonic retrieves the five Emeralds and enters the chamber of the Veg-O Machine, the fortress' main roboticizer. Sonic destroys the machine's main tubes and frees the animals being fed in for roboticization, before entering into the machine's underside and busting it up from the inside. The combination of the Veg-O Machine's destruction and the overload in the Lava Powerhouse triggers the eruption of Mount Mobius, causing Robotnik to attempt to escape by detaching the head of the fortress from the main body. Sonic retrieves the five remaining artificial Emeralds from the crumbling fortress, and pursues Robotnik to his escape ship, where he defeats the doctor and sends him plummeting back to his ruined fortress. Sonic and Tails take Robotnik's artificial Chaos Emeralds back to the Freedom Fighters for analysis, and Tails theorizes on how artificial Emeralds could be of use to them in the future.
--1 year A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Genesis): Sonic and Tails head to West Side Island to find the seventh Chaos Emerald. With all seven Emeralds combined, Sonic's hidden power of Super Sonic is unlocked, and he uses this to take down Robotnik's flying fortress, Silver Sonic 1.0, and Robotnik's Death Egg Robot Mk. I, which causes severe damage to the Death Egg space station.
The Mysterious Island and the Little Planet
--1 year A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 3: The Death Egg crashes into Angel Island, where Robotnik comes into contact with Knuckles the Echidna, who he dupes into believing that Sonic is trying to steal the Master Emerald. When Sonic arrives, Knuckles ambushes him and takes the Chaos Emeralds from him. Sonic pursues Knuckles to Robotnik's launch base, where the Death Egg is being rebuilt. Just as the Death Egg is about to launch, Sonic intervenes, sending it crashing into the volcano in the center of the island.
--1 year A.S.--Sonic and Knuckles: Sonic continues to pursue Knuckles across the island until they reach the Hidden Palace, where Knuckles has stored the Master Emerald. Robotnik breaks in and steals the Emerald, revealing his true intentions to Knuckles. Knuckles forms an uneasy truce with Sonic and leads him to the Sky Sanctuary, where Sonic witnesses the Death Egg lifting off with the power of the Master Emerald. After confronting a new Mecha Sonic, Sonic leaps onto the Death Egg and battles his way to the Master Emerald, which is being used to power Robotnik's Death Egg Robot Mk. II. Sonic defeats the massive robot, forcing Robotnik to flee with the Master Emerald in a last-ditch effort to escape. Using the Chaos Emeralds to transform into Super Sonic, Sonic gives chase and destroys Robotnik's Death Egg Robot Mk. II-A, retrieving the Master Emerald and returning it to Angel Island, which floats back up into the sky.

Amy Rose, who predicted her meeting with Sonic in a tarot card reading, is captured by Robotnik's greatest invention, Metal Sonic 1.0, and taken to the Stardust Speedway. Sonic fights his way through the Little Planet to obtain the Time Stones and rescue Amy, challenging Metal Sonic at Stardust Speedway and defeating him. With the power of the Time Stones, Sonic averts Robotnik's plans and ensures a good future for the Little Planet and all of Mobius. Metal Sonic is left broken on the Little Planet, and Robotnik believes him completely destroyed.
--1 year A.S.--Sonic Drift: The Mobius World Grand Prix is held on South Island, and Robotnik chooses this opportunity to attempt to win the Chaos Emeralds from Sonic and the Freedom Fighters by betting them in the race. One of the rules of this World Grand Prix is that each racer must use a vehicle, so in order to win, Sonic is unable to use his super speed to beat Robotnik and instead uses the skills he learned in the first grand prix he entered. Sonic and Tails enter the race to challenge Robotnik for the Chaos Emeralds, and find that Amy Rose has entered as well to attempt to impress Sonic. Sonic, Tails, and Amy manage to beat Robotnik in the green, yellow, and red grand prix circuits, which take them all across South Island, including through the ruined Scrap Brain base.

Robotnik also detects the strange anomaly and sends his most elite Egg-Robos, the Hard-Boiled Heavies, to retrieve the source of the disturbance. When Sonic and Tails arrive on Angel Island, they discover the Hard-Boiled Heavies unearthing the mysterious Phantom Ruby, which produces a wave of temporal energy that warps Sonic, Tails, and the Heavies to Green Hill on South Island, along with Knuckles the Echidna, who was relaxing nearby. The Phantom Ruby also mutates the Heavies into even stronger forms, led by the Heavy King. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are ambushed by Robotnik in his newly-upgraded Death Egg Robot, but manage to defeat him and send the robot plummeting down a cliff. The Hard-Boiled Heavies take the chance to return the Phantom Ruby to Robotnik, who uses its power to transport Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles to the West Side Island Chemical Plant. After blazing through the Chemical Plant, the three come upon the star-studded paradise of Studiopolis, where they encounter the first of the Hard-Boiled Heavies--the Heavy Gunner. After the Heavy Gunner is defeated, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are attacked by Robotnik, using a device to control the weather in the area. After taking out Robotnik's new machine, the three catch sight of the restored Flying Battery Blimp flying overhead, and they climb aboard to infiltrate the ship. Robotnik attempts to trap them in the ship's trash compactor, but the group manages to escape and destroy the ship as it's passing over the Press Gardens. In the serene-looking garden, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles encounter the second of the Hard-Boiled Heavies--the Heavy Shinobi--who attempts to overpower them with its ninjitsu and ice abilities. After besting the elite Egg-Robo's ninja skills, Sonic and his friends discover that Robotnik has used the power of the Phantom Ruby to summon an alternate mechanized version of the Little Planet, from a future that Sonic had prevented using the Time Stones. Robotnik transports Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles to the Stardust Speedway, where Sonic once again faces off against Metal Sonic 1.0. In a last-ditch effort to defeat Sonic, Metal Sonic unleashes an upgraded infantry soldier version of Silver Sonic--Silver Sonic 3.0--but Sonic uses the robot clones against Metal Sonic and defeats him in a final deadly race. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are warped away from the Little Planet by Robotnik, appearing in the Hydrocity on Angel Island. After escaping the Hydrocity, Tails manages to call the Tornado to pick Sonic up and locate Robotnik's base, while Knuckles follows them on foot. While attempting to pursue Robotnik, the Tornado is attacked and shot down by the third member of the Hard-Boiled Heavies--the Heavy Magician--and forced to crash in the desert near the Mirage Saloon. Knuckles reaches the Mirage Saloon first, and finishes off the giant CaterKiller that was set to ambush Sonic and Tails. Once inside the Saloon, Sonic and Tails meet up with Knuckles to take on the Heavy Magician, who tries to attack them by transforming into the likenesses of Fang the Sniper, Bean the Dynamite, and Bark the Polar Bear, but is eventually defeated. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles use a nearby cannon to reach Robotnik's Oil Ocean refinery, where they are able to find a way back to the Lava Reef and Hidden Palace on Angel Island. At the Hidden Palace, Knuckles separates from the group to check on the Master Emerald, while Sonic and Tails are attacked by the fourth member of the Hard-Boiled Heavies--the Heavy Rider--before putting an end to its daredevil ride. In the Master Emerald's chamber, Knuckles discovers the final member of the Hard-Boiled Heavies--the Heavy King--attempting to steal the Master Emerald, and manages to put a stop to it. The Heavy King tries to fight off Knuckles by using some of the Master Emerald's power, but Knuckles manages to defeat the Heavy King and force the robot leader to retreat. Using a portal in the Hidden Palace, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles reach Robotnik's Metallic Madness base on the mechanized Little Planet, where he is keeping a massive robot known as the Titanic Monarch. Inside the Monarch, they have a final confrontation with Robotnik, before the Heavy King attempts to take the Phantom Ruby for itself and escape to the central core of the base, the Egg Reverie. Espio the Chameleon, Charmy the Bee, and Vector the Crocodile head to Seaside Hill to search for their first clues for their client's case, forming Team Chaotix. Amy Rose, Cream the Rabbit, and Cheese the Chao are hanging out at Big the Cat's home, searching the newspaper headline on Froggy and Chocola's kidnapping for clues to Sonic's whereabouts. They decide to head to Seaside Hill to begin their search, forming Team Rose. All four teams encounter Eggman in the ancient Hill Palace ruins, who attacks them separately in his Egg Hawk before being defeated and driven off. To distract the four teams while he makes final preparations to unleash his new weapon, Eggman commands his forces to launch a bold attack on a geothermal energy plant in the reclaimed Mobotropolis, holding the city's power hostage. Team Sonic heads to the plant to stop Eggman's attack, while Team Rose heads there in pursuit of Team Sonic, Team Dark searches for Eggman at the plant, and Team Chaotix attempts to locate more clues for their client. Team Chaotix and Team Dark end up getting into a brawl with one another after an argument, and Team Rose accuses Team Sonic of kidnapping Froggy and Chocola and tries to apprehend them. All four teams are forced to retreat from the power plant and continue their search for Eggman after their day is wasted by Eggman's oddly bold distraction.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Heroes: The four teams head to the Casino Palace theme park, wasting another day trying to get out of the maze-like pinball structures. Eggman ambushes each team with his robot forces, but the teams manage to overpower their attackers and make their way to Eggman's train depot in the Rail Canyon. Eggman attacks each team with his Egg Hawk combined with his Egg Albatross, but the teams manage to defeat him and Team Sonic destroys the Egg Hawk. Team Sonic discovers that the Eggman they were facing was a fake, just as the real Eggman launches his massive Egg Fleet to conquer the world. The other teams each come upon the fake Eggman, with Shadow and Rouge discovering a broken Shadow Android near the wreckage, and Team Chaotix speculating that their client seems to know a lot about Eggman. What the four teams don't realize is that the Eggman they were fighting was actually an upgraded Neo Metal Sonic, who was collecting and copying their combat data.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Heroes: The four teams head to the Lost Jungle, where Team Sonic encounters Team Dark, who attacks them for getting in their way of finding Eggman. Team Chaotix and Team Rose get into an argument, which escalates into a fight. All four teams are forced to retreat from one another to the mysterious and reality-defying Hang Castle, where Eggman ambushes each of them with more of his robot armies. The teams push through Eggman's forces and this time follow Eggman back to his Egg Fleet, launching an all-out assault on the Egg Fortress flagship and bringing down Eggman and his Egg Emperor. As the fleet begins to self-destruct, Rouge and Omega enter the hidden lab on the flagship, where they find an entire army of Shadow Androids. Rouge comes to the conclusion that the Shadow they were with must be an android as well, but Omega says that for there to be clones like this, the original must exist somewhere. Cheese the Chao is reunited with his friend Chocola, and Big is reunited with Froggy. Cream and Big wish Amy luck as she spots Sonic and gives chase, forcing Sonic to leave Tails and Knuckles behind to run from her. Team Chaotix finally locates their client, Dr. Eggman himself, and they proceed to give him a good beating for not being able to pay them, before Eggman explains that he was imprisoned in his own ship by a rogue Neo Metal Sonic, who has now taken over his empire.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Heroes: With the combat data of all four teams, and the data of Chaos stolen from Froggy and Chocola, Neo Metal Sonic unleashes its acquired power and transforms into its ascended form, Metal Madness. Team Rose, Team Chaotix, and Team Dark engage the monster to buy Team Sonic time to use the Chaos Emeralds, allowing Sonic to become Super Sonic just as Metal Madness transforms into its final form, the Metal Overlord, and takes off into the sky. Super Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles engage and defeat the Metal Overlord, reducing Neo Metal Sonic back to his original form. Team Chaotix gives chase after the real Eggman for failing to pay them, Amy chases after Sonic to win his heart, and Rouge teases Knuckles about going after the Master Emerald, prompting him to chase after her in response.
The Invasion of the Black Arms
--3 years A.S.--Shadow the Hedgehog: During the Fire in the Sky Festival, when the Black Comet comes into Mobius' orbit every fifty years, Black Doom and the Black Arms launch a full-scale invasion of Mobius, starting with the human settlement of Westopolis. Black Doom attempts to recruit the amnesiac Shadow into joining with the Black Arms and carrying out Gerald Robotnik's end of the bargain made fifty years ago by finding the seven Chaos Emeralds for him. Shadow disobeys Black Doom and instead opts to locate the Emeralds for himself to unlock the secrets of his past. The president of the United Federation is evacuated out of Central City, while the commander of GUN launches a personal campaign against Shadow. The ruins in Glyphic Canyon are raised to form the Black Arms' aerial fortress, and a three-way war is launched between the Black Arms, GUN, and the Eggman Empire. Through this, Shadow tracks down Eggman for the truth about his past, and Eggman tells him that he's just one of the doctor's Shadow Androids gone rogue. Shadow doesn't believe him, and seeks out the truth aboard the Space Colony ARK, where he is confronted by the GUN commander, who reveals himself to be a childhood friend of Maria Robotnik who witnessed Gerald's deal with Black Doom, and whose family was killed in the ARK massacre, causing him to blame Shadow for the incident. Shadow promises that if he was truly made for evil, he will respectfully submit to justice, but first he must find out the real truth. He travels to the Black Comet to confront Black Doom, defeating him and acquiring the last Chaos Emerald just as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge, Team Chaotix, and Eggman join him on the Black Comet.
--3 years A.S.--Shadow the Hedgehog: Black Doom freezes Sonic and his friends and prepares to feed them to his Doom Leeches, using the power of Chaos Control to warp the Black Comet down to Mobius' surface. Shadow destroys the leeches and warps his friends to safety with Chaos Control, before using the power of the Chaos Emeralds to become Super Shadow, engaging the true form of Black Doom for one final showdown and destroying him. Super Shadow uses Chaos Control to warp the comet back into space, before warping back to the ARK and destroying the Black Arms once and for all with the Eclipse Cannon, just as Gerald Robotnik had intended. Shadow decides that, no matter if he was made to be the destroyer of worlds, a protector of humanity, the ultimate rival to Sonic, or just another Eggman android, it doesn't matter to him now, as he will carve out his own path.
--3 years A.S.--With their past differences settled, the commander of GUN offers to give Shadow a job as an agent of the government. With a little coaxing from Rouge, Shadow accepts the position, and becomes an agent of GUN.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic and his friends move to the quiet seaside location of Emerald Town. Amy moves to a new apartment in Central City.
The Last Gizoid
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Battle: Eggman locates the last Gizoid and tries to get it working to fight for him using a Chaos Emerald. Unable to reprogram the Gizoid, he dumps the machine on Emerald Beach. The government gets word of Eggman's discovery, and the president of the United Federation hires GUN agent Rouge the Bat to retrieve it, giving her full access to Central Lab in Central City. Thinking this will be the perfect opportunity to get all the information on the most priceless treasures, Rouge attempts to access the mainframe in the Central Lab, only to discover that Dr. Eggman has hacked into the mainframe and is set up on the highway around the corner. Rouge confronts Eggman, who reveals that he's used the data he collected on the recovered Gizoid to create his own model, E-121 Phi, powered by shards of a crushed Chaos Emerald. Rouge defeats Eggman's copy and claims the shard inside it for herself, prompting Eggman to run off to begin his search for the original Gizoid he threw out. Rouge accesses the Central Lab to find out more about the Gizoid she's after, learning of its discovery in an ancient ruin and the experiment performed by Professor Gerald Robotnik, which determined the Gizoid had no limits to the abilities it could harness and would eventually overload. She learns of the Gizoid's ability to establish a "Link" with someone through external contact, and wonders if she can train it into the ultimate robot thief. She learns that even if someone has established a Link with the Gizoid already, it can still be ordered to listen to another's commands by its "Master". Rouge decides to head to Emerald Beach to search for the Gizoid and make it hers.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Battle: The Gizoid Eggman dumped on Emerald Beach is found by Sonic. Sonic decides to take the strange robot to Tails for analysis, but is secretly trailed by Rouge the Bat. He also encounters Shadow on the way to Tails' house, who demands that Sonic hand the robot over to him. The two come to blows when Sonic refuses, and upon his defeat, Shadow warns Sonic not to allow Eggman to get his hands on the Gizoid. Tails arrives just as Shadow slips away, and while he takes the Gizoid inside to fix it up, Sonic heads down to the beach to confront Rouge, who tells him that her employer has a special interest in the Gizoid, and wagers that if she wins in a fight with him, he has to partner up with her. Sonic accepts her wager and defeats her, but encounters one of Eggman's new E-121 Phi Gizoid units while heading to Tails' lab. Tails tells him that he heard news of a similar robot robbing some jewelry stores, and how the robot they found has some amazing technology inside it that allows it to absorb Chaos Emeralds and learn new fighting techniques. Sonic and Tails decide to name their new friend "Emerl", and take it to Emerald Beach to train it in new combat skills. After Emerl proves victorious against one of its "fake" copies, Sonic and Tails decide to take it to Knuckles' home on the Holy Summit, to see if he knows anything about it, but they are ambushed by a robot that looks just like E-102 Gamma, who attempts to capture Emerl. Sonic, Tails, and Emerl defeat the Gamma clone, but when they reach Knuckles' house, he mistakes Emerl for one of the fake robots and attacks it before being beaten into submission. Knuckles reluctantly hands over his Chaos Emerald, which Sonic and Tails give to Emerl, allowing the Gizoid to speak for the first time.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Battle: Shadow and Rouge infiltrate Eggman's Gimee Shelter in Night Babylon, acquiring more data about the Gizoid before they are attacked by Eggman's Guard Robos. Shadow takes serious injuries, having not yet recovered his full power, and Rouge pulls him to safety. Tails takes Emerl to Central City to analyze it at the Central Lab, but is denied access. Rouge the Bat arrives and offers to let him have her GUN lab pass (which she totally keeps in her cleavage) if Tails and Emerl can defeat her in a fight. After winning the lab pass from her, Tails and Emerl gain access to the Central Lab, where Tails examines Emerl to learn more about its origin and creator. Tails discovers that Emerl was found in an ancient ruin, and studied by Professor Gerald Robotnik, Eggman's grandfather. Just as Tails discovers this information, GUN security robots are alerted to the unauthorized data breach and Tails and Emerl are forced to flee, before they are confronted by Shadow, who demands that Emerl be destroyed before it collects all seven Chaos Emeralds and unleashes its true power. Tails fights him back until Rouge arrives and calls Shadow off, helping Tails and Emerl escape before more Guard Robos arrive. Rouge takes the injured Shadow to Club Rouge in Night Babylon, where he promptly passes out from his injuries right on her doorstep. Tails and Emerl return to the Holy Summit to find Knuckles and have him meet them and Sonic at Emerald Beach, but they are attacked by the Gamma clone from before. Knuckles holds off Gamma while Tails and Emerl flee to Emerald Beach to tell Sonic of their findings, only for Rouge to meet them there and reveal the truth to Sonic first. Rouge claims that Emerl can be freed from being a deadly weapon if its memories are erased using all seven Chaos Emeralds. Rouge leaves just before Knuckles arrives, and just to pull his leg, Sonic tells Emerl to ignore Knuckles.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Battle: While Sonic, Tails, and Emerl are hanging out on Emerald Beach, Amy shows up to stalk Sonic, prompting him to flee. Tails tells Amy that Emerl is Sonic's pet project, his "baby", and Amy takes that to mean that Sonic is practicing for when they finally get married and have kids. Tails tries to object, but one glare from Amy sends him away, leaving her alone with her new "baby" Emerl until Rouge chooses this opportunity to try and take the Gizoid. Amy tries to fight her off to protect her "baby", but her skills are no match for an agent of GUN, and Rouge is able to escape with Emerl, only to be ambushed in Central City by Gamma. Rouge manages to evade the relentless robot, regarding that he looks somewhat like her Team Dark comrade, E-123 Omega. She takes Emerl to her home of Club Rouge in Night Babylon, where Amy is waiting for her outside and attacks her. After escaping from the obsessive pink hedgehog, Rouge and Emerl slip inside the club, where she begins to train Emerl on how to be a thief before sending the Gizoid to rob a jewelry store in Emerald Town. Rouge and Emerl are ambushed by Amy in Central City on the way, who tries to fight Rouge again using the drive of her love for Sonic before being finally knocked out cold--it's as hilarious as it sounds... Rouge and Emerl reach the jewelry store in Emerald Town, and Rouge grabs the Chaos Emerald before Emerl takes it from her and absorbs it. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy arrive to rescue Emerl, prompting Rouge to make a quick escape while Team Sonic reclaims the Gizoid.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Battle: Knuckles offers to help train Emerl, who has begun to speak more intelligently since absorbing three Chaos Emeralds. One of Eggman's E-121 Phi Gizoid units is spotted in Night Babylon, and Knuckles and Emerl head off immediately before getting ambushed by Gamma in Central City. Knuckles manages to fight Gamma off, before Rouge shows up and informs him that this Gamma is a product of Eggman's experiments with using Chaos Emerald shards in robot cores. She leaves before Knuckles can question her further, and he and Emerl continue to Night Babylon, where Emerl is mistaken for one of Eggman's E-121 Phi robots and attracts the attention of the Guard Robos. Knuckles and Emerl evade capture, only for Emerl's new sassy attitude to push Knuckles to the breaking point. He tells the Gizoid to shut up, upsetting Emerl and forcing Knuckles to try to apologize. Emerl runs off to look for Sonic while Knuckles is searching for the Phi Gizoid, forcing him to start looking all over Night Babylon for Emerl, losing his temper and wrecking every place he goes into. Knuckles discovers Rouge's nightclub, Club Rouge, where he finds Emerl staying with the busty bat girl. Just as he's about to retrieve the Gizoid, Eggman's E-121 Phi unit attacks the club before being dealt with by Knuckles, Emerl, and Rouge. The Phi unit's Chaos Emerald shard is claimed by Emerl and Knuckles, and Rouge hands over her shard to Emerl as well. Knuckles and Emerl return to Tails' lab to ask about the Chaos Emerald shards, and Tails tells them that if they get more shards from the E-121 Phi units, they can form a whole Chaos Emerald. While Knuckles is training Emerl on Emerald Beach, Eggman attacks them with one of his Phi units. Knuckles and Emerl defeat the fake Gizoid, forcing Eggman to flee and claiming another Emerald shard. They chase Eggman into Central City, where they dispose of another Phi unit and claim another shard. Eggman flees, SECRETLY, to Gimee Shelter in Night Babylon, duping Knuckles and Emerl into following him and leading them right into a trap. Eggman gloats about his plan to use Emerl to acquire his ultimate weapon, the Final Egg Blaster, and use it to conquer the world. He unleashes Chaos Gamma to dispose of the incapacitated Knuckles and capture Emerl, but Emerl defeats Chaos Gamma and frees Knuckles from Eggman's trap. The two return the last two Emerald shards to Tails, who reforges them into a whole Chaos Emerald and gives it to Emerl to absorb.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Battle: Amy attempts to corner Sonic yet again, but he notices her coming and he flees with Emerl to Emerald Beach. Amy follows him, but Sonic runs away again, leaving Amy alone with Emerl. Amy sees this as a challenge, and muses that if she can prove that she can be a good mother, Sonic will fall in love with her. While she is thinking of this, Emerl runs off and gets cornered by one of Eggman's Phi units. Amy tries to show Emerl an example of good manners by telling the robot off nicely, but the Phi unit attacks, only to get smashed by Amy and drop its Emerald shards. Amy thinks that if she collects enough Chaos Emeralds to make Emerl a full-grown robot, Sonic will accept her as his wife. At Emerl's request, Amy takes him to her house to teach it some attacks, as well as request a "favor". Emerl meets Cream the Rabbit and Cheese the Chao at Amy's home in Central City, and Amy lets Emerl assist her wiith "boxercising". Unfortunately, it turns out that Amy has become obsessed with the sport, and has roped Cream and Cheese into it as well. After several matches with Emerl, Amy is knocked out cold, until Emerl detects a Chaos Emerald nearby and heads outside to investigate. Emerl and Amy are ambushed by Chaos Gamma, before they manage to fend him off and head into Night Babylon, encountering one of Eggman's Phi units and claiming its Emerald shards. Emerl detects the fifth shard needed to reforge another Emerald, heading to Club Rouge to acquire it from the sultry bat girl. Amy demands that Rouge hand the shard over, but Emerl tries to calm them both down, saying that they don't need to fight. Rouge goads Amy into fighting her anyway, and the two girls come to blows. Rouge agrees to give up the shard if Emerl can win a special battle against her without using any of its special moves. Emerl defeats Rouge and acquires the last shard needed to reforge another Chaos Emerald. Emerl detects another Chaos Emerald nearby, and Rouge reveals that Shadow is currently out cold in her club, and he'll be pursuing Emerl when he wakes up. Amy and Emerl return the Emerald shards back to Tails' lab, and reforge a fifth Chaos Emerald for Emerl to absorb. Sonic returns to the lab to find Amy waiting for him, saying that now he has no more excuses not to marry her. Sonic tells Amy to close her eyes, before running away at top speed from the crazed yandere hedgehog, and Amy continues her quest for the love of her Senpai.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Battle: Emerl is proving to be a great help for Amy's workout, and is developing a fond relationship with Cream. Sonic and Tails leave to follow a new story about a Chaos Emerald sighting, while Amy goes to purchase a new workout machine, leaving Emerl alone with Cream and Cheese. The three are attacked by Eggman, who uses an upgraded form of the trap he used to immobilize Knuckles, except this time it works on Gizoids as well. Eggman and his Phi units kidnap Emerl, Cream, and Cheese, and take them to Gimee Shelter in Night Babylon. Emerl and Cream discover where Eggman is making Guard Robos to sell on the black market, before one of the Guard Robos attacks them. Emerl wonders why Cream doesn't want to "play", and Cream tells Emerl that she doesn't like to fight, as it makes people sad. Emerl protects Cream when one of Eggman's Phi units attacks, and fools Eggman into telling them how to escape the facility. Eggman also reveals his plan to use Cream as bait to capture Sonic. Emerl exhibits manic behavior while fighting two Phi units for the key to the air duct, causing Cream to cry, which brings Emerl back to its senses. Emerl, Cream, and Cheese grab the two Emerald shards from the Phi units and head for the air duct to escape, but are blocked by Chaos Gamma, who has been empowered by an Emerald shard. Emerl refuses to fight to avoid making Cream sad, but stands in front of her to protect her, taking great damage from Gamma before Cream fights Gamma herself, allowing her and Emerl time to retreat back into the base. Sonic arrives to see if Eggman really does have Cream and Emerl hostage, but the two of them hide when Eggman tries to contact them within the base, leaving no bait for Eggman's trap. Emerl and Cream train up to strengthen themselves for the coming battle with Chaos Gamma, and their next battle ends in victory. Cream asks Chaos Gamma what it is the robot is fighting for, and Gamma states that Emerl had absorbed the Chaos Emerald that was Gamma's core, and the robot wants revenge. Cream tells Chaos Gamma that power is something to be used to defend those you care about, before Gamma relinquishes the Emerald Shard, forging a sixth Chaos Emerald for Emerl to absorb. Eggman enters the chamber, but gets caught in his own immobilizing trap when Cream throws the switch. Cream and Emerl contact Sonic and show him Eggman trapped in his own immobilizer, and they all escape the base safely, leaving Eggman stuck.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Battle: Shadow comes to from his coma and thanks Rouge for saving his life, before leaving for Emerald Beach to confront Sonic, fully intent on destroying Emerl. Sonic questions Shadow's decision, saying that both he and Emerl possess a heart and conscience, and would never become weapons of destruction. Emerl arrives when it senses Shadow's Chaos Emerald, demanding it from Shadow, the Gizoid saying it wants power. Sonic, curious at this new change in Emerl's behavior, tells Emerl to go with Shadow to find Eggman and discover what the Gizoid really is. Shadow and Emerl head into Central City, where they are ambushed by Chaos Gamma, who is finally destroyed. Shadow and Emerl head to the Gimee Shelter in Night Babylon, where they access Eggman's Mother Computer to find out more about the Gizoid's origin, and why Shadow and Emerl are weapons with hearts. Rouge arrives and explains that Professor Gerald never wanted to create weapons of war; he wanted to find a way to bring happiness and hope to all people, but he was forced into military research by the government. That's why Shadow and Emerl were given a "soul" identical to that of Gerald's beloved granddaughter, Maria Robotnik. No matter how crazed with destructive power mankind would become, their weapons would never fight. Since Gerald didn't create Emerl, however, he was unable to completely program the Gizoid the way he wanted, so the professor created a keyword that could be implanted once the Gizoid was fully awakened, which meant Emerl would have to absorb all seven Chaos Emeralds. Shadow gives up his Chaos Emerald to Emerl, and speaks Gerald's keyword--"Bring hope to humanity"--which frees Emerl from being controlled as a weapon. Shadow tests Emerl in one last battle while Rouge heads home. Shadow demands a rematch, but Emerl decides to challenge his friends to one final fight first to prove it's not a kid anymore. Emerl and Shadow fight one on one, before Sonic arrives to give Emerl more of a challenge. Emerl manages to defeat them both, and thanks them and everyone else for being a part of its life and teaching it so much. Sonic tells Emerl to live life to the fullest, while Shadow speeds off, saying that weapons shouldn't have feelings.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Battle: Eggman announces his plans to place the finishing touches on his Final Egg Blaster, the ultimate weapon of his newest battle station, the Death Egg III, which he launches from the Holy Summit. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Emerl gather at the summit, and Emerl is transported onto the Death Egg III to battle Eggman and his forces, including a reawakened Chaos. Eggman pleads to Emerl for mercy, and the Gizoid with a heart falls for his plea, telling the doctor that if he's smart enough to build a giant space station like the Death Egg, he should use his talents for good instead, and thanking him for waking Emerl up in the first place so it could learn the true meaning of friendship. Eggman takes this opportunity to fire his Final Egg Blaster, disintegrating the neighboring stars right before Emerl's eyes. Witnessing this overwhelming power, Emerl's Link with Sonic is broken, exactly the loophole the doctor planned for. Eggman tries to make Emerl establish a new Link with him, but Emerl rejects him and instead launches the Final Egg Blaster towards Mobius. Sonic transports over to the Death Egg III to stop Emerl using the power of the Master Emerald to negate the power of the Chaos Emeralds. Emerl shatters the Master Emerald before Sonic can use it, forcing Sonic to face his friend in one final battle until he inflicts enough damage on Emerl to snap the Gizoid out of its corrupted programming. Emerl sends one final goodbye to Sonic and his friends before Gerald Robotnik's final program kicks in and Emerl self-terminates, taking the Death Egg III with it. Sonic transports back to Mobius with the Emerald and Master Emerald shards, and Tails wonders if they'll be able to see Emerl again, someday when Mobius knows true peace.
The Sol Emeralds and Friendship is Magic
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Rush: Eggman Nega, Eggman's descendant from 200 years in the future, crosses time and space to steal the Sol Emeralds from the Sol Dimension, but is stopped by their guardian, Princess Blaze the Cat. Failing in his first plan, Eggman Nega makes contact with his ancestor on Mobius and gives him access to the Sol Dimension, allowing Eggman to take the Sol Emeralds back to Mobius to use them to acquire ultimate power. He and Eggman Nega are followed by Blaze the Cat, who wakes up on Mobius and begins her search for the missing Sol Emeralds and her pursuit of Eggman. After cornering him and acquiring the first Sol Emerald, Blaze ponders on how she will get the rest, when she notices Cream the Rabbit and Cheese the Chao watching her curiously. Cream introduces herself and takes Blaze home with her to meet her mother Vanilla and have some tea, and Vanilla suggests that Blaze locate Sonic and see if he knows anything about her missing Sol Emeralds. Blaze and Cream head off to search for the rest of the Sol Emeralds, while elsewhere, Sonic confronts Eggman during a run, who boasts about obtaining ultimate power. Sonic defeats him and comes across a Sol Emerald, before Blaze appears and claims it, thanking Sonic for defeating Eggman before leaving. Sonic decides to see if Tails can help figure out what's going on, while Blaze claims a third Sol Emerald before being introduced to Knuckles by Cream. Knuckles senses Chaos energy coming from Blaze, who insists she doesn't have any Chaos Emeralds before departing. Sonic, meanwhile, encounters Eggman Nega, who introduces himself properly before attacking Sonic. After defeating him, Sonic returns to Tails' lab, only for Tails to give him the news that there is a tear in the space-time continuum caused by the Sol Emeralds' presence on Mobius. While seeking more information, Sonic and Tails discover that Cream has been hanging out with a strange new friend. They try to head to the city to look for the pair, but find the road has been closed off, before locating Knuckles in a pile of rubble from punching a rock wall after dealing with a feline with an attitude. Knuckles loses his temper again and opens the path for Sonic and Tails to pass into the city, while Cream introduces Blaze to Amy. Blaze is somewhat amused at Amy's obsession with Sonic, and finally cracks a smile, which makes Cream overjoyed. Blaze and Cream follow Amy's instinctual yandere "Sonic-Radar" sense, until Blaze and Sonic finally cross paths again. Sonic and Tails try to question Blaze about the tear in the space-time continuum, and about Eggman Nega, but Blaze doesn't divulge any information, saying it's her problem alone before leaving with Cream. Blaze asks Cream what kind of person Sonic is, with Cream's only response being that Sonic is like the wind. Sonic and Tails run into Amy, and attempt to ask her about Eggman and about the strange girl, but soon realize that attempting to ask the crazy yandere hedgehog about a potential competitor for her Senpai is a bad idea... Tails tries his best to explain the situation to Amy, who tells them about her encounter with Blaze and Cream. Sonic runs off to search for them before Amy runs into them herself, Blaze insisting she doesn't need Sonic's help and Amy and Cream trying to tell her that having friends to help you along the way gets you to your goal faster, because Friendship is Magic! Knuckles arrives with a hot temper and a score to settle with Blaze, but Amy tries to talk him down while Cream flies Blaze to safety. Blaze thanks Cream before the two head to Eggman's base to acquire the final Sol Emerald. Sonic and Blaze confront Eggman and Eggman Nega, before getting into an argument with one another which results in the two fighting. Sonic manages to calm Blaze down, and Blaze finally accepts Sonic as her friend. Blaze reveals that the power of the Sol Emeralds is merging the Sol Dimension with Mobius, and Sonic is about to head off to stop Eggman and Eggman Nega and let Blaze recover from their previous battle, when Cream is taken captive by Eggman and held hostage at Point W. Eggman demands that Blaze come alone, and everyone knows it could be a trap, but Blaze agrees to go alone anyway, because Cream is her friend. Blaze arrives to confront Eggman, but just as the doctor is about to spring his trap, Sonic and his friends arrive to give Blaze some backup, and together they defeat Eggman and rescue Cream. Sonic has to flee when Amy shows up, but Blaze acquires the final Sol Emerald from Eggman.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Rush: Blaze and Sonic have managed to stop the disruption in the space-time continuum, but Blaze is unable to use the Sol Emeralds' power to return everything to normal, or return to her own world. She is ambushed by Eggman and Eggman Nega in their ultimate mecha, who drain the power of the Sol Emeralds and render them useless. Sonic and his friends arrive, bringing with them the seven Chaos Emeralds, and reminding Blaze that the true power that exists within the Sol Emeralds is the power of friendship, and as long as Blaze has that power, they will never lose their glow. Because Frienship is Magic! Sonic uses the Chaos Emeralds to become Super Sonic, and Blaze uses the Elements of Har--er... the Sol Emeralds to become Burning Blaze. The two heroes of the Mobius and the Sol Dimension defeat the two Eggmans and restore their worlds to normal before they return to their own dimensions, Sonic telling Blaze that he'll see her again someday, and Blaze enlightened by the magic of friendship.
The New Gizoid, the Brainwash Beam, and the Treasure of Babylon Garden
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Advance 3: Eggman constructs a new custom Gizoid based on Emerl's design, known as "Gemerl". He uses Gemerl in his plans to acquire the Chaos Emeralds and create his utopia of Eggmanland. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Cream, and Amy encounter and face Gemerl multiple times in their pursuit of Eggman to the roboticized Angel Island--the Chaos Angel--all the way to the Emerald altar, causing Gemerl to become more and more unstable until it rejects its creator's programming and goes rogue, syphoning power from the Chaos Emeralds before attempting to escape. Super Sonic and Eggman team up to take down the rogue Gemerl, who is later found by Cream and her mother Vanilla, and reprogrammed by Tails with Emerl's personality. Since Emerl had taken a strong liking to Cream, Gemerl now lives happily with Cream, Vanilla, and Cheese.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Pinball Party: Eggman takes over Station Square's Casinopolis, turning patrons into robots and brainwashing Tails and Amy to do his bidding. Eggman also convinces Knuckles to face off against Sonic in his Egg Cup Pinball Tournament, duping the echidna yet again. Sonic enters the tournament to rescue his friends, defeating Knuckles first before freeing the brainwashed Tails and Amy. Shadow also enters the tournament, but gets eliminated in the second round; apparently, Shadow may be the ultimate life form, but he's no pinball wizard. Sonic faces off against Neo Metal Sonic in the final round of the tournament, and defeats him before challenging Eggman himself and freeing Casinopolis from his control.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Jump (Mobile): Having tested his brainwashing technology on Tails and Amy at the pinball tournament, Eggman decides to expand it into a new weapon, the Brainwash Beam, capable of warping and controlling the minds of everyone on Mobius. Tails intercepts a signal from Eggman regarding the Chaos Emeralds and tries to tell Sonic, but experiences interference during his transmission before Eggman attacks his lab. Sonic arrives just in time to see Eggman kidnapping Tails and attempting to escape via helicopter. Sonic chases Eggman to his flying fortress to find Tails, and demands to know Eggman's plan, but all Eggman says is that there's only one Chaos Emerald left for him to find. Sonic and Tails track Eggman to Angel Island, where the doctor confronts Knuckles to obtain the final Chaos Emerald. Sonic's arrival causes the dimwitted echidna to become distracted, allowing Eggman to take the final Emerald. Eggman announces his plan to enslave the world using his Brainwash Beam, before escaping the island while Sonic and Knuckles argue over whose fault it is that Eggman got the Emerald. Tails shuts them both up and suggests that Eggman is planning to broadcast his Brainwash Beam from outer space, so he'll need the use of a space station that he's planning on launching from the human settlement of Neo South America. Sonic traverses through the jungles to Eggman's launch base, but arrives too late to stop the doctor from launching his rocket with the Brainwash Beam on board. Tails launches another rocket from the base to get Sonic up to Eggman's space station, where he destroys the Brainwash Beam, the explosion scattering the Chaos Emeralds across Mobius. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles recover six of the Emeralds, before Sonic travels back into space to take the final Emerald back from Eggman.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Riders: Eggman hires the Babylon Rogues--Jet the Hawk, Wave the Swallow, and Storm the Albatross--to compete in his new EX World Grand Prix against Sonic and his friends, telling them that he knows how to use the Key of Babylon and the seven Chaos Emeralds to access the Rogues' ancestral home of Babylon Garden if they can defeat Sonic. The Rogues ambush Sonic and his friends during the Air Board Festival in Future City while the group is looking for one of the Chaos Emeralds, and while Sonic puts up a good chase, the Rogues and their Extreme Gear prove more than an even match and they manage to escape with the Emerald.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Riders: Eggman announces his EX World Grand Prix, taking a Chaos Emerald from each contestant as an entry fee. As Sonic and his friends prepare for the competition, Amy joins their group, much to Sonic's displeasure. As Tails is explaining the mechanics of Extreme Gear, Wave the Swallow appears and examines Tails' custom board, sneaking a bomb to the underside before calling it a piece of junk, even though she admits to herself the job isn't half bad. Flustered by her insult, Tails doesn't notice Wave's trick. Later, at one of Eggman's robot factories, Knuckles and Storm the Albatross come to blows with one another, but end up trashing one of Eggman's robots instead before deciding to settle their differences on the track. Knuckles manages to beat Storm in the race, sending him crying back to Jet and Wave, apologizing for his loss and claiming that Knuckles must have cheated somehow. Wave berates Storm for losing on her Gear, before Jet shuts them both up and tells them that Eggman is hiding something from them. Jet tells Storm to sneak into Eggman's base to find out what he's hiding, and not to return until he's found something to bring back.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Riders: Jet relaxes in a forest as an impatient Wave starts lecturing him about his responsibilities as leader of the Rogues. Jet ignores her until he sees Sonic practicing on his Extreme Gear, and decides to have some fun, still boasting his superiority on Extreme Gear compared to Sonic, telling him that to be the fastest on Extreme Gear, one needs to become one with the wind.
--3 years A.S.--Sonic Riders: Storm meets up with Jet and Wave with a piece of Eggman's diary containing information on the Babylonian treasure said to be inside the Babylon Garden. According to the diary, the Garden contains the ancient technology of the Babylonians that could potentially allow its user to rule the world, something Jet has no interest in. Wave convinces Jet that there is some value in the Babylonian treasure, maybe even more value than silver or gold. Jet agrees to finish the race and claim the treasure, and the three Rogues head for the nearby Sand Ruins arena to begin the final leg of the race. Sonic and Jet push themselves like they never have before, both determined not to lose. Just when it looks like Sonic might be the victor, Wave suddenly detonates the bomb she planted on the underside of the board, sabotaging Sonic and allowing Jet to win the race. Jet uses the seven Chaos Emeralds to activate the key to Babylon Garden, causing the ancient city to rise up out of the sand. Eggman steals the key from Jet and heads for the floating city, with Sonic and his friends following behind to stop him alongside the Babylon Rogues. Sonic races Jet to catch up with Eggman, while Tails and Knuckles land on the Garden with Storm and Wave, evading Eggman's robots. Sonic manages to beat Jet and locate Eggman, who has taken Amy hostage, but Sonic rescues her by using his Extreme Gear to create a tornado, then catching the key and tossing it to Jet. Sonic and his friends leave the Babylon Rogues to retrieve their treasure, just as crazy yandere hedgehog Amy attacks Sonic for divebombing Eggman with her there. The Babylon Rogues use the key to enter the inner sanctum of Babylon Garden, awakening the protector of the treasure, the Babylon Guardian. Sonic and his friends enter the inner sanctum just before the door closes and assist the Rogues in defeating the Guardian., which leaves behind an ancient treasure chest. Sonic and Jet open the chest, just as Eggman holds the group at gunpoint and demands they hand over the treasure. Jet tosses the treasure to Eggman, which is revealed to be an exquisite carpet. Upon realising he just wasted all this time and effort for a simple rug, Eggman promptly faints. Tails notices that the fabric of the carpet is crafted from the same material as the Extreme Gear, and it reacts to the key that Jet holds, meaning it is, in fact, a magic carpet. The Babylon Rogues leave to follow the words of wisdom on the back of the magic carpet and hunt for more treasure, but Jet tells Sonic that he'd better be ready for the next time they meet.
The Soleanna Incident, or Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey
--4 years A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2006: Silver the Hedgehog--Sonic's descendant from 200 years in the future--is transported back to the past to prevent a terrible disaster from causing the Apocalypse on Mobius. He and Princess Blaze the Cat--who had sensed a disturbance in the timeline and transported herself to Mobius' future to assist--are separated from each other when they reach their destination, near the city of Soleanna. Silver arrives in Soleanna just in time for the Festival of the Sun, as Princess Elise III lights the Flame of Hope to give thanks to the sun god Solaris. Princess Elise is struck with a vision of a massive fiery demonic being known as Iblis bringing destruction to all of Soleanna, just before the festival is interrupted by the arrival of Dr. Eggman's forces, with the doctor demanding that Princess Elise come with him as his prisoner to help him unlock the secrets of the Flames of Disaster using the Chaos Emerald she has in her possession. Sonic the Hedgehog arrives to put a stop to Eggman's plans, grabbing Elise and carrying her off as Silver watches them from the rooftops. Eggman catches up with Sonic and Elise, taking the princess captive just before she tosses Sonic her Chaos Emerald. Sonic promises to rescue Elise as Eggman carries her to his ship. Just as Silver is about to jump in to engage Sonic, crazy yandere hedgehog Amy Rose mistakes Silver for Sonic and grabs him in a hug, causing him to miss his chance. Amy realizes her mistake, and offers to help Silver find whoever he's looking for, taking his hand and running off with him. Meanwhle, GUN agent Shadow the Hedgehog infiltrates Eggman's base in White Acropolis to rescue fellow agent Rouge the Bat, who has come into possession of a powerful artifact called the Scepter of Darkness. Once they escape the base, Rouge asks Shadow to escort her to the GUN rendezvous point at the ancient castle of Soleanna in Kingdom Valley.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2006: Sonic meets up with Tails and searches the coastline for Elise, but finds that she was moved to the desert ruins. Sonic breaks into the ruins and rescues Elise, just before Eggman finds them and unleashes his robot armies to pursue them. Amy and Silver arrive in the desert, with Silver awed by the beauty of the pre-Apocalypse world. Sonic and Elise escape to a distant meadow, where Elise tends to Sonic's dislocated shoulder that he received during the fight and tells Sonic about the Flames of Disaster, and how ten years prior Soleanna almost faced the wrath of Solaris. Sonic helps Elise to relieve her worry by running with her. Shadow and Rouge arrive at Kingdom Valley, where Rouge informs Shadow about the Solaris Project ten years prior that destroyed the castle. Eggman arrives and demands that Rouge hand over the Scepter of Darkness. During the fight with Eggman's robots, the scepter is shattered, and the dark being inside--Mephiles the Dark--is released, forcing Eggman to fall back as Mephiles destroys the rest of his robots. Mephiles takes on the form of Shadow, and recognizes him from his involvement in an event ten years in the past that Shadow does not remember. Mephiles transports Shadow and Rouge 200 years into the future before transporting there himself to find out more about how he may become one with Iblis. Amy and Silver catch up to Sonic and Elise in Soleanna, and Silver attacks Sonic with his telekinetic powers, believing him to be the cause of the disaster that triggers the Apocalypse--the Iblis Trigger. During their battle, Eggman chooses this opportunity to kidnap Elise, but as Sonic tries to pursue him, Silver attacks him again and is about to finish him off when Amy steps in his way. Sonic runs off after Eggman while Amy tries to convince Silver that Sonic couldn't have any involvement in the end of the world, saying that if she had to choose between the world and Sonic, she would choose Sonic. Sonic and Tails meet up with Knuckles the Echidna, who delivers a message from Eggman telling them that if they want to see Elise again, Sonic must deliver his Chaos Emerald to Eggman's base in White Acropolis. Tails suspects a trap, but Sonic insists on going anyway. Blaze finally locates Silver, who questions if it's right to kill someone just to save the world. Blaze suggests heading to Eggman's base to follow Sonic, saying that if something isn't done the future can't be changed. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles arrive at Eggman's base and demand the return of Princess Elise, but after Sonic agrees to give up the Chaos Emerald, Eggman springs his trap and uses his new Solaris prototype time machine to send Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles 200 years into the future. Eggman tells Elise that his machine requires both the Chaos Emeralds and the power of Iblis that sleeps inside of her to work at its fullest potential, but once it does, he will be able to control the flow of time itself. Silver and Blaze arrive at the base too late, but find Sonic's Chaos Emerald buried in the snow. Blaze tells Silver to keep it as a lucky charm, saying it can turn thoughts into power. Amy searches Eggman's base for Sonic, but instead runs into Princess Elise as she's trying to escape, and the two of them decide to try and head for safety.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2006: After returning to the past thanks to the power of Chaos Control, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles discover that they have returned to Soleanna on the day Elise is supposed to perish on board the Egg Carrier. Rouge discovers that Shadow hasn't returned with her just as she gets a call from GUN HQ requesting a status update. Rouge tells them she has a priority situation that requires her to get in contact with E-123 Omega. Amy and Elise return to Soleanna and discuss Elise's feelings for a special someone, but Elise suspects that Amy might be a crazy yandere who would break her legs if she mentions Sonic, so she doesn't bring him up. Rouge meets up with Omega and informs him of the situation, telling him to deliver her Chaos Emerald to Shadow 200 years in the future. Omega takes the Chaos Emerald and heads off to enter standby mode until the time when he is needed. After rescuing Shadow from Mephiles the Dark 200 years in the future, Omega and Shadow return to the past to pursue him. Elise returns to the palace of Soleanna, where Eggman and his robots recapture her. Shadow and Omega meet up with Rouge, who tells them Eggman's robots are looking for Shadow. Shadow guesses that they are probably looking for Mephiles instead, and heads off on his own to question Eggman. Shadow breaks into Eggman's base and demands to know about Mephiles, and Eggman informs him that Mephiles is linked to the Solaris project 10 years prior. Eggman tells Shadow to capture Mephiles for him if he wants to know the truth about Solaris. Silver and Blaze encounter Mephiles in Soleanna and demand to know the truth about the Iblis Trigger, and Mephiles tells them that it doesn't matter and if they wish to save the future, they must confront and kill the Iblis Trigger at the terminal station. Silver arrives at the station just as Sonic has rescued Elise from Eggman, and is prepared to eliminate him. Eggman recaptures Elise again as Silver is about to kill Sonic, before Shadow intervenes. Sonic rushes off to save Elise as Shadow and Silver battle it out. During their fight, both Shadow and Silver use Chaos Control at the same time, opening a rift to 10 years into the past. Intent on discovering the truth behind Mephiles and his plans, Silver and Shadow jump through the rift back through time. Elise dives off of Eggman's ship, desperate to get away from him and prepared to die rather than let him take her prisoner, only for Sonic to catch her. He takes her into the nearby forest to evade Eggman, and they come upon a beautiful lake and a tree blooming with flowers. Elise confesses that this adventure allowed her to be something other than a princess, and tells him of the love she feels for her country and citizens. Having developed feelings for Sonic, she gets choked up at the thought of him leaving, but tells herself that she mustn't cry and embraces Sonic, who tells her to just smile. Eggman broadcasts a message saying he will level Soleanna if Elise doesn't meet him at a specified point at 4:00.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2006: After sealing the Flames of Disaster 10 years in the past, Silver and Shadow arrive back in the present. Silver meets up with Blaze and tells her that Sonic isn't the Iblis Trigger, and the two of them head to Eggman's base to rescue Elise and prevent the doctor from releasing Iblis. Shadow meets up with Rouge, who informs him that Omega is still in pursuit of Mephiles. He tells her he has found the means to seal Mephiles, and he needs information on the materials used to create the Scepter of Darkness. Omega tracks Mephiles down to the beaches near Soleanna, and Mephiles reveals that it was Omega who was reprogrammed by the government of Mobius to seal Shadow away in the future after the release of Iblis. Mephiles escapes just as Shadow and Rouge catch up with Omega, who reveals this new information to Shadow, and tells him that when something or someone is seen as too powerful, the world becomes its enemy. Rouge assures Shadow that even if all of Mobius turns against him, she will always remain by his side. Sonic is ambushed by Eggman's robots while in pursuit of the Egg Carrier, but is rescued by Silver, who tells him that circumstances have changed. Sonic and Silver reunite with Blaze just in time to witness the Egg Carrier crash due to an engine malfunction, killing both Eggman and Elise. As Sonic is overcome with grief at his failure, Silver suggests returning to an earlier point one day into the past to save Elise, and he and Sonic use Chaos Control to create a rift in time. Sonic uses the rift to travel back a few hours, and Silver and Blaze use the rift to return to 200 years in the future.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2006: Sonic arrives a few hours in the past just as the Egg Carrier is lifting off with Elise on board. Sonic manages to board the ship and reach the bridge just as it starts to malfunction, this time managing to save Elise before the Egg Carrier crashes. The two of them land on the soft grass, and Sonic helps Elise to her feet, commenting on her nice smile. Shadow, Rouge, and Omega track Mephiles down to the desert ruins, where he is searching for any Chaos Emeralds he can find. They confront Mephiles just as he obtains the Chaos Emerald, and Shadow attempts to reseal Mephiles inside the Scepter of Darkness. However, because Mephiles absorbed Shadow's power when he was released, he manages to break free and destroy the scepter, before using the power of two of the Chaos Emeralds to create an army of clones of himself. Shadow unleashes his full power and destroys Mephiles' clones. After freeing the future from the fires of Iblis, Blaze the Cat uses its power to return to the Sol Dimension, and ejects Iblis into a rift between time and space.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2006: With his true plans finally coming into fruition, Mephiles uses one of the Chaos Emeralds to impale Sonic with a spear of dark energy, killing him in front of Elise's eyes. Having developed romantic feelings for Sonic, Elise is overcome with grief, and cries for the first time in 10 years. Her tears release Iblis from its imprisonment, and Mephiles sees the chance he has been waiting for, fusing with his other half and calling all seven Chaos Emeralds to him to become the corrupted god Solaris once more. Solaris consumes all of Mobius in his rage, trapping the planet in a spatial distortion and preparing to devour time itself. Tails, Knuckles, Rouge, Shadow, Omega, Silver, Elise, and Eggman are all brought together with the deceased Sonic, and Eggman states that Solaris is a being that transcends time itself, so defeating him in the present would do no good. Silver is determined to destroy all incarnations of Solaris and save the timeline, and Shadow tells him that it may have been possible if Sonic were still alive. Elise says that she can feel Sonic's presence, telling everyone he may not be dead yet. Silver suggests calling Sonic back using the power of the Chaos Emeralds, and the power of everyone's thoughts resonating through them. Everyone heads to the distant corners of the distorted world to collect the Chaos Emeralds, while Elise watches over Sonic. With all seven Emeralds gathered, everyone focuses their thoughts on the goal of bringing Sonic back to life, and Elise enhances those thoughts and resurrects Sonic with true love's kiss. The power of the Chaos Emeralds transforms Sonic into Super Sonic, and he embues Shadow and Silver with his power, turning them into Super Shadow and Super Silver. The three super hedgehogs take on the corrupted Solaris, causing him to transform into his true godly form. Even with the power of three super hedgehogs, Solaris cannot be defeated without one final act, and Sonic and Elise jump through Solaris' rift to head back 10 years prior and snuff out his flame to ensure the events of the past few days--and Silver's apocalyptic future--never happen.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2006: The Festival of the Sun goes off without a hitch as the Soleanna Incident never occurs. However, in the following months, observers from other universes start to spread rumors of the events in the alternate timeline and Elise's relationship with Sonic, causing Elise to have a mental breakdown. She starts to turn from being a benevolent and kind ruler, to an insane and cruel dictator. Eventually, she restructures the government into the Elisian Empire of Soleanna.

--4 years A.S.--Tails completes a full repair and refit of the Tornado 1, good as new.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Rush Adventure: On its test run after its repair and refit, Sonic and Tails take the Tornado 1 on their investigation of a strange energy reaction out at sea, when they are caught in a massive storm that crashes their plane into the ocean and knocks the two out cold. Sonic and Tails come to on Southern Island, where they meet the spunky and adventurous Marine the Raccoon, who generously allows them to stay at her house in Windmill Village.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Rush Adventure: Sonic and Tails find Marine trying to fix up her makeshift ship, the S.S. Marine, but not having much success. Marine accidentally steps on the gas instead of the break and crashes her ship, and Tails offers to build her a new one. Marine tells them that the place she goes to get her materials is blocked off by boulders, and Sonic offers to find a way through. Sonic helps Marine gather enough materials to build a waterbike with Tails' help, and Marine, Sonic, and Tails take the waterbike out for a test run to go exploring on a jungle island to the west. An overjoyed Marine is awed by the wonders of the outside world, and dubs the place "Marine Island". As Sonic is exploring the island to find materials to make a sailboat, he is attacked by a strange robotic dinosaur. After defeating it and returning to Marine with some of the materials, Sonic and the group are greeted by Tabby, one of Marine's friends and a member of Windmill Village's youth association, the Coconut Crew. Tabby suggests sailing southwest to find an island made of machines, where some metal for a sailboat could be found. When they reach this mysterious island, Marine goes wandering off on her own to look for some metal to build her sailboat, and Sonic and Tails catch up to her just in time to be attacked by a strange robot. After defeating the robot, they head back to Southern Island to construct the sailboat for Marine, before another of her friends from the Coconut Crew--the Colonel--tells them about a stretch of shallows on the west side of the machine island.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Rush Adventure: Eager to explore more, Marine heads out with Sonic and Tails to investigate, before the group are ambushed by a stranger in a shark costume named Johnny, who challenges Sonic to a race. Sonic defeats Johnny easily, and the group reaches the mysterious island, where they discover a strange altar. Marine notices that the altar can be moved and pushes on it, causing a new island to rise up out of the sea. Marine, Sonic, and Tails discover a set of footprints leading into the island cave, and come across the ruthless robot pirate Captain Whisker and his two mates, Mini and Mum, about to steal a treasure known as the Jeweled Scepter. Marine grabs Captain Whisker's mustache, which angers him greatly, but just as he and Sonic are about to fight it out, Blaze the Cat suddenly appears to protect the Jeweled Scepter. Captain Whisker unleashes his Ghost Kraken on Blaze and Sonic while he and his mates get away with the scepter. Blaze reveals that Sonic and Tails are actually in the Sol Dimension, and once they're all back at Marine's home, she asks Tails to build her a device that can detect plasma and electromagnetic signals to help search for clues on the location of the Jeweled Scepter. Using this new radio tower, Tails detects strange electromagnetic activity in an area to the east known for the sighting of ghost ships. The four of them head to the island, but find no one there. As they are about to head back, they discover another of Marine's friends from the Coconut Crew--Kylok--who has been living on the island and tells them that the rumored ghost ship appears to the east of it. The four arrive to find a ship graveyard, with Marine visibly nervous. They find Captain Whisker and his mates on board the ghost ship, who release their Ghost Pirate against them. Sonic and Blaze defeat the Ghost Pirate, forcing Whisker to flee into rough waters that Marine's sailboat can't enter. Back at Marine's home, Tails builds the gang a hovercraft, which will allow them to float over the ice and other obstacles in the waters ahead. Blaze considers leaving Marine behind, as the conflicts with Whisker and his pirates will only get more dangerous, but Marine demands to be taken along, saying that she needs adventure more than anything. Blaze relents, but makes Marine promise to stay with the group and to not wander off, which Marine assures her not to worry about.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Rush Adventure: Sonic, Tails, Marine, and Blaze arrive at Blizzard Peaks, where they discover that the Vikings living there have been frozen by Captain Whisker, who unleashes his Ghost Whale upon the group. Sonic and Blaze defeat the Ghost Whale, forcing Whisker to retreat while Blaze thaws out the Vikings. The grateful Vikings inform the group that Whisker and his pirates make their hideout in some ancient ruins from days of yore, which Blaze identifies as ruins of a floating city that had crashed into the ocean long ago. The crew heads to the east, where they explore a seemingly abandoned island and discover another of the Coconut Crew, Daikun, who tells them of strange noises coming from an island further east. The group finds another mysterious island, with caves so deep the sun barely shines inside them. Marine comes across a strange statue and goes to take it, thinking it's some kind of treasure. The entire island begins to shake, before Sonic, Tails, Marine, and Blaze are transported up into the air, to the ancient city of Sky Babylon. They are confronted by Captain Whisker, before he departs for his own unknown mission back at his undersea hideout. The group comes across a stone monument detailing the location of the ancient ruins that Whisker is using as a base, and Tails realizes that the only way to get to the ruins is by building a submarine. Back at Southern Island, the group is rocked by a massive earthquake, which Marine says happens very rarely. Blaze and Sonic theorize that if the pirates have the Jeweled Scepter, it is causing major geological shifts. Sometime later, Tails completes construction of his new submarine, the Deep Typhoon, and the crew departs for the pirates' hideout on the sea floor.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Rush Adventure: Sonic, Tails, Marine, and Blaze arrive at the ancient undersea ruins, where they confront Captain Whisker in his pirate hideout. Unable to access the hideout, they trick Whisker into telling them how to open the main door, then gather the three markers needed to open it before returning to Sourthern Island to plan their attack. Sonic, Tails, and Blaze try to tell Marine that it's best if she doesn't come along, as things will only get more dangerous from here, but Marine insists on going with them before Blaze comes right out and says that Marine is a nuisance, sending the little raccoon running away in tears. Sonic, Tails, and Blaze return to the pirate hideout, unaware that Marine is following behind them in one of the other ships. Using the markers, the trio enters the ancient ruins to confront Whisker, and finds the speedster Johnny in league with him and ready to challenge Sonic to a final showdown. Sonic defeats Johnny and forces him and Whisker to retreat, but Whisker's escape is halted by Marine, who pursues him herself to the Big Swell, where she is taken captive and about to be strapped into a torture device known as "Mr. Tickler". Sonic, Tails, and Blaze arrive to save Marine, and Whisker tells them that he'll let her go if they swear a pirate's oath to him. Tails manages to trick Whisker long enough for Sonic and Blaze to rescue Marine from the clutches of Whisker's Ghost Titan. The Ghost Titan explodes after Sonic and Blaze defeat it, taking the pirates' entire hideout with it while Sonic, Tails, Marine, and Blaze escape in the Deep Typhoon. Sonic and Blaze ponder the fate of the Jeweled Scepter, before Marine reveals that she stole it from Whisker when she got captured and returns it to Blaze. The four return to Southern Island, with Marine still fully determined to become a sea captain for real.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Rush Adventure: Sonic and Tails think of a way to return to their home dimension, and Blaze suggests using the power of the Chaos Emeralds to assist them with dimensional travel. She is interrupted by a royal guard, who tells her that the Jeweled Scepter has been stolen. Blaze reveals that the legend of the Jeweled Scepter speaks of a "Power of the Stars" and a "Key", and that the scepter must have some terrible secret that could affect the entire world. Tails remembers that the pirates were looking to steal the scepter for someone else, before the island is hit by another much larger earthquake. The four head outside just in time to witness the arrival of the true masterminds behind the pirates and the thieves of the Jeweled Scepter, Eggman and Eggman Nega, who reveal their plans to use the scepter's power to turn the Sol Dimension into their ideal paradise of Eggmanland. Eggman Nega reveals that the so-called "Power of the Stars" that the Jeweled Scepter is said to unlock lies right underneath Southern Island, right before another more massive earthquake triggers. Eggman and Eggman Nega retreat to perform their own experiments with the scepter, promising to return it unharmed once they have the Power of the Stars. With more earthquakes triggering all at once, Tails completes construction on his new driller vehicle, the Magma Hurricane, to follow Eggman and Eggman Nega underground, and the team arrives just in time to witness Eggman and Eggman Nega using the scepter to unleash the Power of the Stars, making them truly unstoppable. Eggman Nega thanks Blaze for her royal family's part in keeping the scepter safe for generations, before she and Sonic unleash the power of the Chaos and Sol Emeralds to become Super Sonic and Burning Blaze and confront the two mad scientists. Eggman Nega attempts to finish the two of them off--along with everyone else, much to his ancestor's protests--using the Egg Wizard's Planet-Buster Laser, but the weapon's charge is interrupted by a well-placed shot from Marine, allowing Sonic and Blaze to finish off the Egg Wizard. With Eggman and Eggman Nega defeated, Tails constructs a new ship--the SS Tornado EX--to use the power of the Chaos and Sol Emeralds to get him and Sonic back to their own dimension. Sonic and Blaze ponder on how the Emeralds seem to have a mind of their own, how they seem to want to be used for this purpose, and how they may have brought Sonic to the Sol Dimension for a reason. After saying goodbye to Blaze, Sonic heads off with Tails before Marine speeds up alongside them in her own waterbike, the SS Super-Marine, and tells them how even though she feels like she can't go adventuring for real on her own, she's more determined than ever to train hard until she can. Marine tells them that she's sure she'll find them again someday, even if she has to go to their world, and Sonic and Tails tell her they'll be waiting. The SS Tornado-EX takes off for Mobius as Marine and Blaze watch from the pier on Southern Island.

Eggman uses that same camera weapon to kidnap Tails and challenges Sonic to a contest to win the cards back. Meanwhile, Silver the Hedgehog arrives from 200 years in the future to put a stop to the real culprit, Eggman Nega, who has stolen the Master Emerald across time and space by capturing it inside a card, and used its power to transport the future Angel Island--Onyx Island--into the present, before trapping the real Dr. Eggman in a card as well and impersonating him. Sonic and Shahra locate the final World Ring which is sealed with sadness, and Shahra reveals that Erazor Djinn is the Genie of the Lamp from the tale of Aladdin and the Magic Lamp. With the seven rings in hand, Sonic and Shahra return to the Night Palace for the final confrontation.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic and the Secret Rings: Using the seven rings, Sonic and Shahra enter Erazor Djinn's lair, where Erazor convinces Shahra to give him the seven rings. Shahra reveals that she and Erazor were once lovers, and she just wishes to be back with him, but Sonic commands her to do what she feels is right, causing her mind to break. Erazor Djinn attempts to sacrifice Sonic as the collector of the seven rings, but Shahra slips in front of Erazor's blade and gets struck down instead. The relic Shahra gave to Sonic earlier transforms back into its original state--Erazor's former lamp--just as Erazor absorbs the seven rings and transforms into a reality-bending monstrosity known as Alf Layla wa-Layla. However, due to Erazor not sacrificing Sonic, the transformation isn't complete, and he isn't able to hold on to the power of the rings. Three of the rings--Sadness, Rage, and Hate--fuse with Sonic, transforming him into Darkspine Sonic to allow him to avenge Shahra's death. After a fierce battle, Darkspine Sonic manages to defeat Alf Layla wa-Layla and return Erazor Djinn to his original form, before Sonic takes Erazor's lamp and demands three wishes of the corrupt genie--to restore Shahra back to life, to return the Arabian Nights back to the way they were, and to remain sealed away inside his lamp as he was in days of old. Despite Erazor's protests, his body is forced to comply, and the Djinn is sealed within his lamp forevermore, his curse over the Arabian Nights and Sonic now lifted. Sonic throws Erazor Djinn's lamp into the Ifrit Golem's pit, before adventuring with Ali Baba and Sinbad for a time, then finding a way back to his own world.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic and the Secret Rings: Big the Cat manages to find a way out of the world of the Arabian Nights, and returns to his life of fishing with his friend, Froggy.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Rivals 2: Several Chao on Angel Island have disappeared, along with the Master Emerald. Sonic and Tails set out to find the missing Chao, while Shadow is approached by Neo Metal Sonic, who is acting as Dr. Eggman's messenger. It is unknown whether Neo Metal Sonic was reprogrammed by Eggman, or voluntarily sided with the doctor out of a desire for revenge against a greater foe. Meanwhile, Silver the Hedgehog reappears from 200 years in the future to stop another plan from Eggman Nega to impersonate Dr. Eggman and use the missing Chao, the Master Emerald, and the Chaos Emeralds to fuel an interdimensional creature known as Ifrit. While Silver carries out his mission to protect the Chao from Eggman Nega, Espio from Team Chaotix follows him to find out if he has something to do with their disappearance. Espio finds out that Silver is hiding the Chao from Eggman Nega, and decides to help him protect the future. Knuckles teams up with Rouge the Bat to help locate the Master Emerald, not knowing that she's been hired by Eggman Nega to collec the Chaos Emeralds for him. Shadow and Neo Metal Sonic set out to find the Chaos Emeralds before Eggman Nega, who is prepared to summon the Ifrit from a haunted mansion. All four teams meet up at the haunted mansion, with Knuckles and Rouge carrying six Chaos Emeralds. Using the power of the Emeralds, Eggman Nega opens the portal to release Ifrit, sending in Metal Sonic 3.0 to awaken it. Despite possessing the minds of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Rouge, Shadow and Neo Metal Sonic manage to defeat the Ifrit and seal it back in its own dimension, sealing themselves and Eggman Nega inside as well. Neo Metal Sonic reveals that it's been carrying the last Chaos Emerald in its chassis, and Shadow uses Chaos Control to warp thm both back to their own dimension, leaving Eggman Nega trapped. Sonic and Tails return the missing Chao to a Chao Garden, Knuckles retrieves the Master Emerald only for Rouge to steal it, and Espio gets chewed out by Vector the Crocodile, who spent their client's advance payment on late rental fees.
The Restoration of the Astral Babylon
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Riders Zero Gravity: The Babylon Rogues find one of the Arks of the Cosmos in an ancient ruin at the Gigan Rocks just as a meteor shower brings the other four to Mobius. The ruin's trap nearly crushes the Rogues, but they are saved by the Ark's power to manipulate gravity. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are about to take the meteor they've found to Megalo Station, when they are attacked by rogue security robots from MeteoTech, who is currently under investigation by GUN. During the chase against the robots, Sonic discovers the Ark's power to manipulate gravity, while at the Rogues' hideout, Jet has Wave begin work on an Ark detector just as news comes in on a MeteoTech robot stealing an Ark from Megalo City Museum. Jet and the Rogues arrive at Megalo Station just as Sonic and his team are taking cover from the robots pursuing them, only to have Amy sneak up on Sonic from behind. Jet spots Amy drop an Ark of the Cosmos that she had picked up, and Wave suggests that the Rogues should circle around Sonic and his team and gather information. Jet vows that Sonic won't be calling himself the world's fastest for long. Sonic and his group notice another force of robots approaching, and battle their way out of Megalo Station to reach MeteoTech.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Riders Zero Gravity: Team Sonic and the Babylon Rogues cross paths at MeteoTech, where Jet demands that Amy hand over her Ark of the Cosmos. Sonic moves to intervene, and the two are about to prove who's the fastest just as the alarms blare and robots start attacking them. Sonic and Jet race through the MeteoTech corridors to the main control room, where they run straight into Dr. Eggman, the true owner of MeteoTech, who reveals he has no idea why the robots at his company have gone rogue, but that it may have something to do with his inability to access their main control unit, the Mother Computer, which runs on a similar power source to the Arks of the Cosmos. Jet reveals that the Arks are drawn to one another, and tries to demand that Amy give up hers again, but finds that both Amy and Storm are gone. Eggman uses his satellite to locate the robot leader, who is using an Ark of the Cosmos and is chasing after Amy and Storm. Storm is chasing after Amy to get her Ark of the Cosmos, before she tosses it at him in frustration, hitting him in the face. The robot leader ends up catching up to them, but malfunctions due to a mysterious power from the Ark that Storm is holding and falls over, revealing the Ark in its back. Storm claims a second Ark and goes to tell Jet, leaving Amy stranded until the rest of Team Sonic find her and the ruined robot leader. Amy mentions Storm saying something about how the robot was carrying something similar to what the Rogues found at the Gigan Rocks, and Knuckles recognizes it as a famous ruin among treasure hunters. Team Sonic heads to the Gigan Rocks to search for clues about the Arks of the Cosmos, while Wave deciphers some of the ancient text found at the ruins regarding the "lightless black". While the Rogues are distracted as to what this could mean, Eggman breaks in and steals the two Arks that Storm brought back from Megalo.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Riders Zero Gravity: Team Sonic arrives at the ruins on the Gigan Rocks to find the treasure missing, but Tails and Knuckles find an inscription relating to the "divine wings", another name for Babylon Garden. Eggman flies overhead, with the Rogues' airship giving chase, and Knuckles reads that another "star" of the divine wings can be found in an area known as the "great scar", which lies to the east in a land stained red. Since Eggman and the Rogues were headed east, Team Sonic deduces that must be where Eggman's Mother Computer is, and they head to MeteoTech's signal tower, where they meet up with the Babylon Rogues and plan to take down Eggman, who is no doubt plotting to use his robots to continue his Eggmanland project. Jet challenges Sonic to a competition, saying that whoever takes down Eggman first gets all Arks of the Cosmos, and the title of fastest in the universe. Sonic and Jet burst into Eggman's control room just as he is about to implant the two stolen Arks into the Mother Computer, causing him to drop the Arks and the master unit, shutting down the Mother Computer's commands to the robots. The resonance from all five Arks causes Babylon Garden to rise from the sands, and Sonic hands his Arks to Jet and the Rogues before starting to head home. Tails suddenly figures out exactly what the lightless black is, just as the robot leader bursts in and steals the Arks from the Babylon Rogues, heading to Babylon Garden. Tails explains that the lightless black and the manipulation of gravity from the Arks are actually the result of a black hole, and that's why the Babylonians were forced to abandon them millennia ago. The Arks start to create a massive black hole that threatens to rip Mobius apart, and Team Sonic and the Babylon Rogues race to the engine room of the Astral Babylon to disconnect the core unit. Once the core is disconnected, the Astral Babylon is restored in Mobius' orbit, but the Babylon Rogues decide to remain on the planet, claiming the world still has its charm. Jet tracks Sonic down to Megalo City and challenges him to a race between the two of them.
The Awakening of Dark Gaia and the Knights of the Round Table
--4 years A.S.--Eggman constructs a new robot servant, Orbot 1.0.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Unleashed: During a battle with Eggman's orbiting Egg Fleet, Sonic uses the Chaos Emeralds to become Super Sonic and pursues Eggman to a nearby space station, but falls into a trap planned by the doctor, who drains the energy of the Chaos Emeralds from him to power a massive orbital cannon that he uses to bombard Mobius. The impact of the beam causes Dark Gaia to awaken from his slumber prematurely, and split Mobius into several pieces while infecting Sonic with the curse of the werehog. Eggman ejects Sonic down to the planet, where he lands on a little imp-like creature who seems to have lost his memory. Giving him the name "Chip" due to his love of chocolate chip ice cream, Sonic promises to find Chip's lost memories and locate someone in the nearby town who knows him. Unable to find anyone after a whole day of looking, Sonic suddenly turns into his werehog form right as the sun sets. He and Chip come across the once-optimistic ice cream vendor who had given Chip a delicious cone earlier, but is now weeping about the coming apocalypse at his cart. Chip tries to cheer the man up with some ice cream, but drops the cone. Sonic suddenly stretches out his arm and catches the cone just before it hits the ground, realizing that his new werehog form has its own set of powers. Sonic and Chip find Tails, who is under attack by strange dark creatures. After Sonic rescues him, Tails suggests consulting Professor Pickle at Spagonia University a continent over for assistance on Sonic's condition, and Chip's origins.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Unleashed: Tails takes Sonic and Chip to Spagonia University in the Tornado 1, only to find that Professor Pickle has been kidnapped by Dr. Eggman and his lab data has been stolen. Sonic and Tails track down the location where the professor is being held, but on the way to Eggman's base the sun sets, causing Sonic to revert to his werehog form. Sonic and Tails free Professor Pickle and take back his lab documents from the nearby vault, and once they are back at the university, the professor reveals that the documents he possesses are known as the Gaia Manuscripts, and tell of a similar incident that shook the planet around 10,000 years ago. The Gaia Manuscripts also tell of the cause of these earth-shattering cataclysms--the awakening of Dark Gaia. If Sonic takes the drained Chaos Emeralds to each of the Gaia Temples marked in the manuscripts, the Emeralds can be restored, and they in turn can restore Mobius to its normal state.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Unleashed: Sonic and Chip encounter Eggman harassing a helpless village into revealing the location of the first Gaia Temple. Sonic follows Eggman when he tries to flee, forcing the doctor to unleash his Egg Beetle to attack him. Sonic defeats the Egg Beetle and enters the Gaia Temple, recharging the first Chaos Emerald and using its power to restore a piece of Mobius back to its proper alignment. As nightfall hits and Sonic and Chip head back into town, the werehog is assaulted with a hug from crazy yandere hedgehog Amy Rose, who notices Sonic's different form and thinks she's got the wrong hedgehog, but swears her yandere-sense detected Sonic here. Amy runs off, but gets grabbed by a group of dancing people possessed by dark creatures. Sonic and Chip arrive in time to save her, with Chip revealing the creatures by taking a picture of them. Sonic runs off as Amy's yandere-sense starts to tingle, just before she wonders if that werehog was really him. Professor Pickle offers to explain everything to her, over a plate of cucumber sandwiches.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Night of the Werehog: Sonic and Chip decide to take shelter from an intense storm inside the abandoned Su Wu Lah mansion, where the ghost brothers Su and Wu constantly try to win the affection of the beautiful ghost girl Lah by amusing her with pictures of visitors to the mansion that they scare. The ghosts torment Chip with constant scares, but can't seem to get the desired reaction out of Sonic, which upsets Lah. Su and Wu corner Sonic and Chip using a pair of suits of armor, but at that moment, the sun sets and the moon emerges from the clouds, causing Sonic to transform into his werehog form and scaring Su and Wu. This amuses Lah greatly, but Su and Wu attempt to get back at Sonic by fusing together into a wereghost called Baker and confronting him one on one. Baker proves too powerful for Sonic to defeat, even as a werehog, but Chip uses the ghosts' camera to reveal their presence, right before Baker knocks Sonic out and is about to claim his picture. Su and Wu unfuse and start to argue, allowing Sonic to get the upper hand and scare them both, which causes the camera to go off accidentally right before Sonic punches Su and Wu out of the mansion. Lah admires the picture taken of Sonic's werehog form and becomes infatuated with him, creating another rival for crazy yandere hedgehog Amy Rose in the process. Lah kidnaps Chip and has Su and Wu guard him while she takes Chip's form and goes on adventures with Sonic. It is unknown how Chip managed to break free, but Lah is eventually exposed as an imposter and cast out.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Unleashed: Sonic and Chip arrive on another continent, and find a corrupted beast guarding the Gaia Temple. Sonic incapacitates the beast temporarily and recharges another Chaos Emerald, restoring another piece of Mobius and freeing the majestic creature from the grip of Dark Gaia. Meanwhile, Eggman discusses the delays in Eggmanland's construction with Orbot 1.0, who sasses him about his hasty actions and informs him that Dark Gaia has yet to reach maturity from being awakened and its energy has been dispersed across Mobius. Sonic and Chip clear out Eggman's defenses from the third Gaia Temple and restore a third piece of Mobius by recharging a Chaos Emerald. Dark creatures begin to converge on the temple, forcing Sonic and Chip to flee. After reaching another continent, they locate the fourth Gaia Temple, which is being guarded by another corrupted beast. Sonic defeats the creature and restores another Chaos Emerald and piece of Mobius, freeing the dragon from Dark Gaia's influence. As Eggman draws Dark Gaia's essence towards the bases on all seven continents, Sonic and Chip recharge the fifth Chaos Emerald and restore another piece of Mobius. As they approach the sixth Gaia Temple, Chip seems apprehensive about something, but the two press on, and recharge the sixth Chaos Emerald. As a sixth piece of Mobius is being restored, Chip finds a strange mural in the temple that pulls him inside and triggers a vision of his true self. After emerging from the mural, "Chip" remembers his true identity as Light Gaia, and his true purpose to protect the planet from Dark Gaia. Light Gaia explains that Eggman woke the two of them before their proper time of awakening, which occurs after Dark Gaia has grown over millions of years, then rises to destroy the world just so Light Gaia can rebuild it. Light Gaia tells Sonic that the reason that Sonic's werehog form isn't corrupted by Dark Gaia is because of the strength of Sonic's heart, and Sonic tells him that he'll see this through to the end.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic Unleashed: Sonic and Chip drop into Eggmanland to search for the last Gaia Temple, which Eggman built over. Fighting their way to the last temple, they recharge the final Emerald and start to put the final piece of Mobius back into place, but Eggman ambushes them in his Ultra-Hyper Prototype-1 Egg Dragoon, saying that Dark Gaia is whole and complete. Sonic defeats the Egg Dragoon as he and Eggman descend into Mobius' core, where Dark Gaia rises out of the molten core and sends Eggman flying. Dark Gaia syphons Sonic's werehog form away from him, before Light Gaia calls upon the power of the seven Chaos Emeralds to form all seven Gaia Temples around him into the GAIA MEGAZO--er... Gaia Guardian... Sonic and Light Gaia try their best to weaken Dark Gaia, who sends out a massive cloud of darkness that covers the entire planet before transforming into its ultimate incarnation, Perfect Dark Gaia. Sonic uses the power of the Chaos Emeralds to become Super Sonic and bring down Perfect Dark Gaia, allowing the final piece of Mobius to return back into place for the planet to become whole once more. Eggman is left stranded in a nearby desert, with Orbot 1.0 sassing him about his failure. Sonic is returned to the surface by Light Gaia, just before the entity is submerged by the earth, to join his brother in slumber. He leaves his friend the ring he wore, as a special gift and a reminder that he will always be with Sonic, as a part of the earth he treads.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic and the Black Knight: While waiting for a date with Amy, Sonic is pulled into an enchanted book by the wizard Merlina, who is fleeing from a mysterious black knight. Before Sonic can confront the knight, Merlina holds him back and teleports him away. The knight--a corrupted King Arthur Pendragon Acorn--goes to give chase. He sends his three finest knights--Sir Percival of the Sol Dimension, Sir Lancelot, and Sir Gawain Pachacamac--to spread out and slay Merlina and Sonic on sight. The three knights question how their king has changed, but know that without loyalty to him they are nothing. Merlina tells Sonic that he is in the land of Neo Camelot, and the black knight cannot be wounded, as he bears the scabbard of the legendary sword Excalibur, which grants the user immortality. Merlina gives Sonic a knight's gauntlet and tells him to find a sacred sword that rests on the other side of the lake. Sonic races off to collect the sword, but Merlina warns him that if he defeats King Arthur with it, he shall forever be remembered as a slayer of kings. Sonic removes the sword from the rock it is sunken into, and Merlina tells him that it goes by the name Caliburn. Sonic remarks that it's kind of sorry-looking, causing the enchanted blade to smack him in response and call him a squire. Merlina also mentions that Caliburn has a mind of its own and selects its bearer, before Sonic is ambushed by King Arthur. He attempts to test out his new sword on the corrupted king, but the scabbard of Excalibur regenerates any damage done to Arthur, and Caliburn tells Sonic he lacks the proper fighting skills. Arthur rides off, saying that Sonic isn't even worth slaying. Caliburn suggests asking the scabbard's former owner--Nimue, the Lady of the Lake--how to hinder its power, but on the way he finds that his edge has become dull from being pressed inside a rock for so long. Caliburn tells Sonic to seek out the blacksmith--"Smithy" Prower--in the castle town, and Merlina decides to stay behind in hiding. "Smithy" sharpens up Caliburn and Sonic sets out to meet the Lady of the Lake, when he is attacked by Sir Lancelot and his sacred blade, Arondight. Sonic manages to defeat him and drive him off, claiming his sacred sword, but Caliburn wonders why Sonic didn't deliver the final blow, as such sympathy is an insult to a knight. Sonic arrives at the lake and mistakes the Lady for Amy Rose. He is about to run from a crazy yandere hedgehog, when Caliburn tells him he is being rude. Nimue agrees to tell Sonic the secret to hindering the scabbard's power, if he can complete three tests in three days to prove himself a knight--freeing the innocents from King Arthur's dungeon, offering compassion to those in need, and defeating King Arthur's knights of the Underworld.
--4 years A.S.--Sonic and the Black Knight: Sonic breaks the innocent peasants out of King Arthur's dungeon, completing his first test. After fleeing the dungeon, he comes across a peasant child crying on the road, and finds out that a monstrous dragon has kidnapped people from a nearby village. Sonic heads to the dragon's cave, but is stopped by Sir Gawain Pachacamac and his Galantine sacred swords. Sonic defeats Gawain in a duel, causing Gawain to attempt suicide to reclaim his honor before Sonic stops him and takes his swords, making him question if there's more to being a knight than just serving a king. Sonic continues to the dragon's cave and slays the mighty beast, freeing the captives. Sonic returns to the child, only to find that the peasant was actually an illusion created by Nimue, and that Sonic has passed all three tests. Nimue tells Sonic that the three sacred swords of the Knights of the Round Table, combined with Caliburn, will dispel the power of immortality that protects Arthur from harm. Sonic heads out to challenge the final knight, Percival, and claim her sword Laevatein. During the battle, Percival is backed to the edge of a cliff and slips off, but Sonic grabs her before she falls into the lava below. Caliburn declares that Sonic has mastered the code of chivalry, and names him Sir Sonic, Knight of the Wind. Merlina appears to Sonic, having been watching him from her reflecting pool, telling him that King Arthur is on the island of Avalon. Sonic heads to Avalon and challenges King Arthur, forcing him to use the scabbard to regenerate himself. While he is regenerating, Sonic uses the three sacred swords to nulify the power of the scabbard, before delivering the final strike with Caliburn. Sonic watches as King Arthur suddenly disappears, leaving his scabbard behind. Meanwhile, the Knights of the Round Table corner Merlina, who tells them that King Arthur was merely an illusion her grandfather Merlin had created. Sonic rushes in holding the scabbard of Excalibur, telling the knights that King Arthur had disappeared just like one of the knights of the Underworld. Merlina reveals that there was never any King Arthur and takes the scabbard, intending to make Neo Camelot an eternal kingdom of the Underworld, spreading her darkness beyond the reality of the book. Sonic and Nimue inspire the Knights of the Round Table to keep on fighting, telling them to use the sacred swords to form a barrier around the castle. The knights and Sonic use their swords to complete the barrier, but Merlina's darkness proves too powerful for it to fully repel. Sonic slips into Merlina's castle and confronts the new Dark Queen, but Merlina's magic proves too much for him, shattering Caliburn's blade in two as Nimue and the knights watch him get beaten down over and over. Sonic's determination calls forth the long lost light of the sacred sword Excalibur, and the knights lend Sonic their swords to call upon the legendary blade. Sonic is clad in a golden suit of armor, becoming Excalibur Sonic and ending Merlina's reign. After an intense battle, Merlina's castle is left in ruins, and Sonic tells her that even though all worlds must end, that only means one should always live life to the fullest. Lancelot is ready to disband the Knights of the Round Table, but Caliburn and Nimue declare Sonic to be the true king of Neo Camelot. After some time helping the knights to repair the damage to their kingdom, Sonic returns to his own world, with an upset Amy demanding to know why he stood her up on their date. Sonic tries to explain the story of his adventure, but crazy yandere hedgehog doesn't believe a word of it and chases after her Senpai with her hammer.
--4 years A.S.--After examining the enchanted storybook Sonic pointed out to her, Amy discovers a set of pages in the very back of the book written in an ancient runic text that only she is able to decode. The translated text is a message from Amy's ancestor, Nimue, to her descendant in the far future, and it even goes as far as to mention Amy by name. Nimue forewarns Amy of a coming evil that will shake Mobius to its core and bring about a period that Nimue refers to as the "Time of Darkness". Nimue tells Amy that to be spared from the horrors of what will come to pass, she will find an opportunity to escape Mobius "on the winds of time", and she will know when the moment of her exodus has come. Nimue also leaves Amy with the assurance that she will return to Mobius, with "Caliburn's Knight of the Wind" at her side to confront the darkness that will corrupt the world. Amy keeps the book with her and takes Nimue's words to heart, starting to collect information on Nimue's various prophecies so she will know the signs of the coming Time of Darkness.
Eggman's New Grand Prix, the Enslavement of Planet Wisp, and the Time Eater
--5 years A.S.--Eggman dismantles the sassy Orbot 1.0 and builds two new more submissive robot servants, Orbot 2.0 and Cubot.
--5 years A.S.--Sonic Free Riders: Eggman holds a new EX World Grand Prix to secretly collect data on the competitors for his new robot line. He hosts the Grand Prix in the oh so convincing guise of King Doc of Toreggmania, with his cohost, the abomination known only as Omochao. Four teams enter the competition to claim the prize of cash and treasure--Team Heroes, consisting of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, Team Babylon, consisting of Jet, Wave, and Storm of the Babylon Rogues, Team Dark, consisting of Shadow, Rouge, and an apparently rogue E-10000 unit that Omochao thinks looks rather familiar, and Team Rose, consisting of Amy, Cream, and... Vector the Crocodile of Team Chaotix, for... some reason... The winning team is set to take on King Doc's ultimate Gear-jockey robot, before the teams call Eggman out on his disguise. The robot, it turns out, is the E-10000 unit that Team Dark pulled off the sidelines and drafted onto their team. After the teams defeat Eggman's Gear-jockey robot, Eggman sheds his disguise and reveals his plan to create the ultimate Gear from the data of the competitors. The teams challenge and defeat Eggman's ultimate Gear, foiling his plans, just before the destroyed E-10000 unit transforms into Neo Metal Sonic, who has stolen the competitor data, passing on fake information to Eggman. Neo Metal Sonic challenges the real Sonic to a race, but Sonic manages to defeat him, forcing Neo Metal Sonic to flee. The competitors are forced to leave empty-handed, as Eggman never intended on giving them any treasure or money to begin with.
--5 years A.S.--Sonic Colors: Eggman, seeming to have a change of heart, builds an interstellar amusement park between Mobius and five of its nearby stars. Sonic and Tails sneak on board the interstellar amusement park via the space elevator from Mobius, thinking to uncover some hidden evil plot. Just when they think that perhaps Eggman's intentions really aren't sinister after all, they catch sight of Orbot 2.0 and Cubot chasing after some strange aliens around the park. Sonic manages to save the aliens and discovers that they can give him strange new powers, while Tails tries to figure out a way to translate the aliens' language. Sonic roams around the park before running into Eggman, who is taking count of his captured aliens and gloating about how he's going to harness them for their energy. Eggman orders Orbot to unleash his Big Boy robot on Sonic, which Sonic defeats before returning to Tails, who manages to find out that the aliens that they're trying to save are known as Wisps. After heading to the pirate-themed area of the park and defeating Eggman's giant robot pirate ship, Sonic meets up with Tails again, who tells him that the Wisps are made of Hyper-go-on energy, and an evil man who the Wisps refer to as "Baldy Nosehair" is trying to harvest them for an "evil purpose". Sonic and Tails confront Eggman, who unleashes a sample of his mind control beam. Tails pushes Sonic out of the way of the blast, getting hit by the beam instead and being put under the beam's control until it runs out of juice. Eggman unleashes the park's tour guide blimp on the pair, which Sonic manages to take down. Tails reveals that Eggman is using five tractor beam generators to hold Planet Wisp in orbit, and Sonic has already destroyed two of them. Sonic and Tails head down to Planet Wisp to shut down the remaining generators, and find that Eggman dragged the planet halfway across the universe using a tractor beam, and is currently renovating it to suit his schemes. Sonic shuts down the third generator, freeing the planet from Eggman's grasp before heading to Eggman's underwater dome to shut down the fourth generator. After shutting it down, Sonic and Tails stumble upon the conversion area where Eggman harvests the Hyper-go-on power from the Wisps, before heading off to shut down the final generator and free the Wisps from Eggman's clutches. With all five generators destroyed, all the planets imprisoned by Eggman's tractor beams are freed, but Eggman still has enough Hyper-go-on power to fuel his mind control cannon and bend all of Mobius to his will. As the mind control cannon is charging, however, a piece of one of Eggman's destroyed robots lodged into the station's hull causes a rupture that destroys a piece of the cannon, sending negative Hyper-go-on energy in all directions and preventing the cannon from firing. Determined to destroy Sonic once and for all, Eggman unleashes his ultimate weapon, the Nega-Wisp, which is powered by Hyper-go-on energy. Sonic sends Tails back down to Mobius in the space elevator before facing Eggman in one final showdown, freeing the Wisps one at a time before uniting them all in one final strike against Eggman, destroying the Nega-Wisp and causing a massive surge of negative Hyper-go-on energy that engulfs the entire station and sends Eggman and Sonic hurtling off into space. The Wisps rescue Sonic and return him to Mobius, before using their positive Hyper-go-on energy to contain the negative shockwave and warp the other planets back to their rightful places.
--5 years A.S.--Sonic Generations: While celebrating his sixteenth birthday, Sonic and his friends are abducted by the Time Eater and pulled into White Space. After rescuing Tails, Amy, and Knuckles from their imprisonment and restoring Green Hill, the Chemical Plant, and the Sky Sanctuary with unseen help from his past self, Sonic encounters his younger double in a strange realm just before the younger Sonic rushes off to fight Robotnik's Death Egg Robot. Classic Sonic witnesses the Time Eater drag a dark sphere that bears the voice of Robotnik into itself before disappearing. Classic Sonic and Tails meet up with their modern counterparts and come to the conclusion that they are traveling through time and space thanks to the mysterious dark creature. Cream, Rouge, and Espio are restored before Sonic, Tails, and their past counterparts meet up at Seaside Hill, and determine that to restore the damage done by the dark entity, the two Sonics must run at top speed across the different lifeless worlds the creature has brought with it into White Space. The Time Eater tries to attack the four heroes, but gets repelled by one of the Chaos Emeralds it brought in. The two Sonics race to collect the Emerald, freeing Blaze, Vector, and Charmy Bee along the way. Sonic uses one of his new moves to reach the Emerald before Classic Sonic, who is excited to witness a new move from his future self. Sonic battles the familiar Egg Dragoon, and Eggman remarks how he was supposed to beat Sonic this time, before Tails and the Classic Sonic and Tails arrive just in time to witness Eggman being carried off by the Time Eater. After both Sonics acquire all seven Chaos Emeralds, they reach the center of the Time Eater's domain, only to discover the creature is being controlled by both Dr. Eggman and his past self, Dr. Robotnik. Eggman explains that after his most recent defeat, he found the primordial form of the Time Eater and set out to use it to wipe Sonic from history, but he needed someone as smart as he was to control it, so he sought the help of his past self. The two Sonics try to attack the Time Eater, but the being proves too powerful. Sonic's friends arrive to cheer him and his past self on, and both Sonics use the Chaos Emeralds to become Super Sonics and take down the Time Eater. The Time Eater unleashes a supernova, but the two Super Sonics combine their powers and break through the supernova to deliver the final blow. With the Time Eater destroyed, the past Sonic and Tails return to their own time and the present Sonic continues to celebrate his birthday, while Eggman and Robotnik are stuck trapped in White Space until they can find a way out.

While Sonic chases down the huge hungry Zeti, Eggman and Zavok test out a machine to harness the energy of Mobius, but the machine proves unstable and Eggman is forced to shut it down. Sonic manages to defeat Zomom, forcing Eggman to arrive in the desert to punish Zavok, Zazz, and Zomom for their failure. Sonic kicks the Cacophonic Conch out of Eggman's hand, sending it flying and freeing the Deadly Six from Eggman's abuse, which cause them to use their powers over magnetic fields to take control of Eggman's robots and attack both him and Sonic, shooting Cubot's head from his body and forcing them to flee to a nearby beach.
--5 years A.S.--Sonic Lost World: Zavok's former teacher, Master Zik, decides to deal with Sonic himself and tracks him down to the beach to test his power. Sonic proves to be a formidible foe and manages to defeat Zik, but when Zik returns to the base, he and Zavok activate Eggman's machine to harness the energy of Mobius and become more powerful.
--5 years A.S.--Sonic Lost World: Sonic and Eggman form an uneasy alliance so that Eggman can get back into his base and shut down his machine. Tails manages to fix Cubot's voice chip, but accuses Sonic of trusting Eggman to shut down the machine better than he can. Zavok sends out the beautiful Zeena to deal with Sonic in the ice region of the Lost Hex, and Sonic manages to ruin her lovely nail art during their fight, causing her to run away. He meets up with Eggman and Tails as the fox tries to give Cubot's head a temporary body by attaching it to a battle bot, but Cubot attacks Tails, only for Eggman to surprisingly save him and knock Cubot's head off the battle bot's body. Zavok and Zazz appear before Sonic, Eggman, and Tails in a holographic message, taunting them about the slow demise of Mobius down below from Eggman's machine. In a fit of rage, Eggman vows to destroy the Zeti and everything they love. Sonic meets up with Zeena again for a second battle, and defeats her again, sending her fleeing back to the base.
--5 years A.S.--Sonic Lost World: Zik and Zavok make a plan to capture Sonic in the jungle region, but their fake animal canister ends up catching Tails instead. Sonic finds the eternally depressed Zor in the jungle and chases him through the ruins, demanding to know the location of his friend. Zor attempts to fight Sonic, but runs away in pointless defeat.
--5 years A.S.--Sonic Lost World: Sonic vows to rescue Tails from the Deadly Six, and is met by Zavok, who tells him that they plan to roboticize Tails. Sonic angrily gives chase while Zavok attacks him with his army of powerful robot dragons. Zavok attempts to flee as Sonic tries to contact Amy, who tells him that it's too late for her and the others as Mobius is freezing down below. Sonic continues to chase down Zavok and confronts him at the ancient temple in the desert region, defeating him and forcing him to retreat. Zavok returns to the base and begins the process of brainwashing Tails, but Zomom leaves his sandwich nearby when he and Zavok leave the room, allowing Tails to use the toothpick from Zomom's sandwich to aid in his escape plan.
--5 years A.S.--Sonic Lost World: Sonic and Eggman arrive at the doctor's former base in the Lost Hex's volcanic region, where they are ambushed by an even more powerful Zazz and Zomom, who cause the main bridge into the base to collapse. Eggman grabs Sonic and hoists him back up, before he, Orbot, and Cubot presumably fall to their deaths. Zazz, Zomom, and Master Zik attack Sonic at once, but Sonic defeats all three of them and tries to contact Amy and Knuckles on the drained Mobius below. With no one left to help him, Sonic challenges Zeena, Zor, and Zavok, who unleash their mind-controlled cyborg Tails to attack him. Tails turns his weapon on the Zeti instead, having caused his reprogramming to fail using the toothpick. Sonic chases down Zeena and Zor and defeats them before confronting Zavok for a final battle. Zavok unleashes his full power, growing to a massive size, but Sonic manages to finally defeat him using bombs from the base's tower. With the Deadly Six defeated, Sonic and Tails are about to shut down Eggman's energy extractor, when they discover that Eggman faked his death and used Mobius' energy to power his new mech. Sonic destroys Eggman's mech as Tails reprograms the Extractor to deliver the stolen energy back to Mobius, and Eggman tries to escape with his jetpack only to find that Sonic stole the exhaust hose, causing the doctor to fall back down to the restored Mobius. Sonic and Tails return to the planet to meet up with the revived Amy and Knuckles, and after such a harrowing adventure, Sonic settles for a nice relaxing nap under a tree. Eggman is found by Orbot and Cubot buried in the dirt on Mobius' surface, with half his mustache missing.
The Rise of Goddess Elise
--5 years A.S.--Princess Elise uses the Time Stones of Solaris to journey back to the point 10 years prior where she and Sonic snuffed out the Flame of Hope. After reigniting the flame and ensuring that there is no public record of the Flames of Disaster for Eggman to find, Elise heads back to the present, feeling the power of Iblis inside her once more. Elise seeks out the Scepter of Darkness and summons Mephiles inside her own body, letting him fuse with Iblis within her so she can syphon the power of Solaris for her own uses. With her plans for divinity complete, Goddess Elise prepares for her conquest of Mobius, as well as the rest of the multiverse.
The Nocturnus Clan and the Elisian-Eggman Empire
--5 years A.S.--Sonic Runners: Eggman uses the Chaos Emeralds to attempt to rebuild his mind control cannon and enslave Mobius once more. Sonic uses the power of the Emeralds to become Super Sonic and destroy the cannon once and for all, but Eggman escapes into hiding.
--5 years A.S.--Sonic Chronicles The Dark Brotherhood: During a battle with Team Sonic and the forces of GUN over his Metropolis base, Eggman's new Egg Carrier is sent crashing into his robotic city, and Eggman is presumed dead. Sometime later, while on a vacation across Mobius, Sonic receives a call from Tails saying that Knuckles has gone missing and the Chaos Emeralds have been stolen. He and Amy meet up with Tails and Cream the Rabbit in Central City, before they are escorted to GUN HQ by Rouge the Bat to meet with the GUN commander. The commander tells them that GUN has been keeping tabs on a mysterious criminal group known as the Marauders for some time now, but they have been unable to locate Knuckles at any of the known Marauder hideouts. Sonic, Tails, Cream, Rouge, and Amy travel to each of the Marauder hideouts, where Tails finds some broken communicators and repairs them, which helps him pinpoint the location of the Marauder base in the Mystic Ruins. They travel to the ruins using the Tornado 1, where they run into Big the Cat, who assists them in locating the base and rescuing Knuckles from some robots. After departing the base, the group finds that Angel Island has disappeared off the map. Thinking that Eggman might not be dead and may have some connection with these events, Tails develops an Eggman Tracker to hunt him down so Sonic and the others can question him. During their search, they run into Shadow the Hedgehog, who aids them in locating some devices to disable a force field in Green Hill to access Eggman's base. Inside they find Eggman, who claims to be a reformed man after surviving the Egg Carrier crash by having one of his robots find him and nurse him back to health. Eggman reveals that Angel Island is being pulled toward the Marauders' main base, in the ruins of Metropolis. Accessing Metropolis from the Blue Ridge Zone, the group follows Shadow as he attempts to locate E-123 Omega inside the city, but they are attacked by the Marauders, led by a mysterious assassin named Shade. Shade reveals herself to be an echidna of the Nocturnus clan, leaving Knuckles shocked. Shade blocks the main path into Metropolis before retreating, but Eggman manages to find an alternate route through a railway tunnel, telling the team of a weapon in his lab that could help defeat the Marauders. Sonic and Knuckles head to Angel Island to get the Master Emerald before the Nocturnus Clan does, while Tails and Eggman construct a non-lethal weapon capable of returning the Marauders to their home dimension. However, when Sonic and Knuckles try to infiltrate the Nocturnus airship, the enemy disables the weapon, forcing Eggman to shoot down the surrounding ships to allow Sonic to get through. Eggman accidentally shoots down the ship that Sonic and Knuckles are standing on, forcing them down onto Angel Island, where they encounter the leader of the Nocturnus Clan, Grand Imperator Ix. Ix reveals his plans to conquer Mobius, which shocks Shade, who believed that he just wanted to release the Nocturnus clan from the Twilight Cage that they had been imprisoned in for 4,000 years. Tails and Eggman teleport to Angel Island, and use their new weapon to send several of the Nocturnus Clan back into the Twilight Cage, but Ix manages to escape, taking the Master Emerald with him and exiling Shade for her betrayal. Angel Island crashes into Metropolis as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Rouge, Cream, Big, Omega, Shade, and Eggman are sent flying. Ix begins to use the Master Emerald's power to create a wormhole to bring the entire Nocturnus Clan through and conquer Mobius. Sonic and Shade restore Metropolis' power, while Tails and Eggman begin construction on a new dimensional vehicle, dubbed the Cyclone. Amy is suddenly reminded of her ancestor Nimue's message to her--how she would have to flee Mobius "on the winds of time"--and realizes, to her dismay, that the time has come at last for her to depart from her home, as Nimue said, and leave Mobius to face the approaching Time of Darkness. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Rouge, Cream, Big, Omega, and Shade use the Cyclone to enter the Twilight Cage, leaving Eggman behind to ensure their return.
--5 years A.S.--Sonic Chronicles The Dark Brotherhood: The Cyclone is damaged by the trip into the Twilight Cage, and crash-lands in the colony of the Kron, enslaved rock giants who were forced to make weapons for the Nocturnus Clan. The Kron initially believe them to be Nocturnus spies, but once Sonic gains their trust by liberating the colony, the Kron agree to help the team by giving them the Chaos Emerald they have in their possession. Tails takes the team to the N'rrgal colony, a race of energy-leeching slugs who are in a bitter feud with their rivals, the Zoah. The N'rrgal queen offers to give Sonic her Chaos Emerald if he and his team can deal with the Zoah and their new weapon. They find that the Zoah leader lost a duel with Ix, and must remain loyal to the Nocturnus Clan unless someone else defeats him in battle. Sonic defeats the leader in single combat, freeing the Zoah from Ix's control, and the leader gives him the weapon mentioned by the N'rrgal queen, a Chaos Emerald. Sonic and Tails tell the leaders of the Zoah and N'rrgal that Ix gave them each a Chaos Emerald to keep them in check for his plans, and with this information, the team gains the trust of the two races. Tails flies the team to the Voxal colonies, belonging to a race of beings attached to a single hive mind. They meet a Voxal named Thebes who has escaped the Overmind's control, and tells them that the source of the Overmind's power comes from two Chaos Emeralds that Ix gave them. Sonic and his friends confront and defeat the Overmind, freeing the Voxal and placing Thebes as the new leader. The leaders of the Kron, N'rrgal, Zoah, and Voxal agree to help Sonic take down the force field protecting the Nocturnus Clan's capital city of Nocturne, allowing Tails to fly the team inside. They encounter two Gizoids named Prefect Cheryb and Prefect Scylla, each holding the final two Chaos Emeralds. Splitting into separate teams, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Rouge, Cream, Big, Omega, and Shade manage to lower the force field around Nocturne, allowing the other races to charge in for a full assault. Knuckles questions whether it would be right to destroy Ix, as he would rather allow the Nocturnus Clan to live freely so he wouldn't be the last of his race, but he doesn't let his grievances get in the way of the mission. Sonic and Tails defeat Cheryb while Knuckles and Shade defeat Scylla, each earning a Chaos Emerald. Knuckles and Shade confront Ix in his throne room, with Sonic and Tails watching from a nearby balcony before jumping in to join the fight. Ix tries to flee while Knuckles retrieves the Master Emerald, before Ix uses the energy of Nocturne to transform into his own super form. Sonic uses the Chaos Emeralds to become Super Sonic and take on Super Ix one on one, defeating him just as Nocturne is about to crumble.
--5 years A.S.--With Sonic and friends trapped in the Twilight Cage, Eggman starts to rebuild his empire, but is approached by an unlikely ally who offers to make this new empire invincible. While Eggman begins to build this new Elisian-Eggman Empire, Goddess Elise heads to the sky world of the Lost Hex to recruit some more unlikely allies--the Deadly Six! Knowing that Zavok, Zazz, Zomom, Zik, and Zor won't be of much help at being convinced to partner up with Eggman again, Elise instead approaches the beautiful Zeena and manages to seduce her into a night of kinky and amazing fun with the dark goddess. Zeena agrees to help Elise talk the Deadly Six into willingly siding with her and Eggman in their new Empire, and over time, Zeena and Elise eventually start to develop open romantic feelings towards each other thanks to their passion for the destruction and subjugation of Mobius. Nimue's prophecized Time of Darkness has begun.
--6 years A.S.--To assist in forming their new empire, Goddess Elise and Dr. Eggman summon a group of Eggmen and Robotniks collected from other times and universes. Among them are Classic Robotnik, Eggman's descendants Boom Eggman and Eggman Nega, an alternate Eggman from a Mobius where Sonic and his friends were transported to snother world via Chaos Control, an alternate Robotnik from a world of floating continents known as the Planet of Freedom, an alternate Julian Robotnik and Snively Kintobor from a Mobius where they fought the Freedom Fighters instead of Eggman, an alternate Robotnik from a Mobius where Sonic and his siblings were on a quest to find their lost mother, an alternate Robotnik who was turned evil in an experiment gone wrong with the Chaos Emeralds that had given his Sonic his super speed and blue color, and another alternate Robotnik with his own robot assistants, Scratch and Grounder, who appears to really, REALLY hate that hedgehog. With a combined I.Q. of 3000, and the aid of their dark goddess, the newly-formed Council of Eggmen looks to shape the future of all universes in their new Elisian-Eggman Empire.
--7 years A.S.--The new Elisian-Eggman Empire launches a full assault on Mobotropolis, Station Square, and Central City, overthrowing Princess Sally Acorn and sending the remnants of GUN and the United Federation into hiding. The old band of Freedom Fighters is reforged to help GUN and the Federation fight the Empire's growing strength, but it seems more and more like a lost cause, especially with Princess Sally taken captive and forced into servitude as a pet to Goddess Elise.
--8 years A.S.--The Elisian-Eggman Empire spreads across the entire planet like a plague, consuming continent after continent, as even lands like Zootopia and Equestria fall before its technological might. With no sign of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Shadow, Big, Rouge, or Omega anywhere on Mobius, people begin to lose hope, even moreso as any mention of those names in public is met with swift arrest and "reeducation" at the Empire's concentration camps, or worse yet--roboticization.
--9 years A.S.--The Equestrian Freedom Fighters led by Rainbow Dash, and the Zootopian Freedom Fighters led by former police officer Judy Hopps unite with the Knothole Freedom Fighters currently being led by Prince Elias Acorn, and prepare for the opportunity to strike back at the Elisian-Eggman Empire.
--10 years A.S.--Sonic Chronicles The Dark Brotherhood: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Rouge, Cream, Big, Omega, and Shade escape the Twilight Cage in the Cyclone, only to find that they've been gone several years, and during that time Eggman has conquered Mobius under the new Elisian-Eggman Empire. Sonic and his friends reunite with the Freedom Fighters of Knothole Village and the remnants of GUN and the Federation, and prepare to go to war.
Android Amy
--10 years A.S.--Sonic and the Freedom Fighters manage to retake Robotropolis from the Elisian-Eggman Empire, restoring it once again to the capital city of Mobotropolis, a bastion of hope for those that would fight the Empire's tyranny. In place of his still-captive sister, Prince Elias Acorn takes the throne, and vows to keep fighting the Elisian-Eggman Empire to the bitter end.
--10 years A.S.--A new Egg Fleet threatens the world and Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles go to bring it down, not knowing that Amy has followed them to trail her hero. One who has been expecting Amy to infiltrate his fleet, however, is Neo Metal Sonic, who is the real culprit behind this attack on a new campaign to become the Metal Overlord. Neo Metal Sonic attempts to roboticize Amy to make her his new robot queen, but Sonic and Tails arrive just in time before the process can be completed, driving Neo Metal Sonic into retreat. Amy is left half-roboticized and in critical condition, but is saved by some quick surgical work from Tails back at his workshop. Now half-organic and half-machine,
Android_Amy_Rose has given up her pursuit of Sonic--who she feels could never love her for what she has become--and now seeks revenge against Neo Metal Sonic for what he has done to her.
The Birth of Infinite
--11 years A.S.--Goddess Elise and the Council of Eggmen begin work on the ultimate weapon to destroy Sonic and the Freedom Fighters once and for all. Through their combined efforts--and some aid from the Deadly Six and the data of Neo Metal Sonic--the reality-warping Phantom Ruby is created. Elise pours some of her divine power into several prototypes before she herself creates the final true Phantom Ruby.
--11 years A.S.--Sonic Forces Episode Shadow: Shadow the Hedgehog is sent by the remnants of GUN to destroy a key Eggman facility in the Mystic Jungle, which is being guarded by the team of elite mercenaries known as Jackal Squad. Shadow overpowers the Jackal Squad easily and humiliates their leader when he tries to interfere with Shadow's mission. Shadow succeeds in destroying the base, while the leader of Jackal Squad swears revenge upon him for making him feel weak and showing him true fear. He volunteers to take part in Eggman and Elise's experiments with the newly-completed Phantom Ruby, and is merged with the jewel to become bonded with its reality-bending powers. Elise gives him the title of "Infinite", and declares him her champion and "son".
--11 years A.S.--For overseeing the creation of Infinite, Goddess Elise grants Eggman the honor of conquering the portions of Mobius lost during the aftermath of Sonic's return, and places Infinite under his command. Elise's body starts to become unstable due to the strain on her power to create the Phantom Ruby. She confides in her lover Zeena on how to proceed, to which Zeena suggests allowing her to give the goddess a new stronger Zeti body that would be better suited to hold her vast power. To do so, Zeena would need to take Elise into her womb and keep her within herself for a gestation period of 9 months through a process known as "unbirthing", during which time Elise's body would be transformed from human to Zeti. Elise agrees with her lover's plan and allows Zeena to unbirth her, ordering the rest of the Deadly Six to cater to Zeena's every need for the duration of her "pregnancy".
--11 years A.S.--Sonic Forces/Sonic Forces Episode Shadow: Shadow the Hedgehog is sent to meet up with E-123 Omega on a recon mission into the city of Mobotropolis, under intelligence gathered by Rouge the Bat and GUN agent Topaz that an unknown power has been detected in the city. Shadow finds a squad of Eggman's robots attacking the city, before he is confronted by Infinite, who incapacitates Omega easily before warping Shadow to Green Hill on South Island, where he attempts to take his revenge for his humiliation at Shadow's hands several months prior. Shadow manages to escape Infinite's attack, before he is warped back to Mobotropolis by Infinite's power. Infinite remarks that not even Sonic can stop his growing power, before he vanishes and prepares for the next phase of Eggman's takeover plan. Rouge contacts Shadow about a build-up of Eggman's troops in Green Hill, and Shadow dwells on Infinite's threat, realizing that he plans to draw Sonic into the open and ambush him. Sonic arrives at Green Hill to deal with Eggman's forces, but finds that part of it has been terraformed into a desert. After receiving a distress call from Mobotropolis, Sonic races back to the city to find that Eggman is launching a full assault on the capital. Just as Sonic is about to deal with Eggman, he is ambushed by what appear to be Shadow, Zavok, Metal Sonic, and the liquid life form Chaos, before Infinite appears and attacks him. Sonic is no match for Infinite's reality-bending abilities, and is quickly defeated. Tails retreats into the city to hide, while Eggman and Infinite take Sonic captive and bring him to the newly-constructed Death Egg IV, to allow the Council of Eggmen to torture him for their own amusement.
--11 years A.S.--During the siege on Mobotropolis, Prince Elias Acorn is killed in battle after challenging Infinite to a duel of honor for the throne of Mobius. Infinite agrees not to use any of his abilities during their duel, but still manages to best Elias in single combat, claiming the throne for the Elisian-Eggman Empire.
Infinity War
--11 years A.S.--Sonic Forces: With Sonic in captivity aboard the Death Egg IV and suffering as the plaything of Goddess Elise and the Council of Eggmen, the forces of the Elisian-Eggman Empire retake their lost territories at surprising speed, mostly with the help of Infinite. South Island, West Side Island, Flicky Island, Seaside Hill, Zootopia, Equestria, Central City--none are spared from the Empire's onslaught... especially Mobotropolis. During an attack by Infinite and his forces, one survivor manages to escape when Infinite allows them to flee just to watch them run in terror for his own amusement. The survivor attempts to locate any trace of the Freedom Fighters, which have been reduced to a ragtag resistance movement under the leadership of Knuckles the Echidna and
Android_Amy_Rose. Among the other Resistance fighters are Vector the Crocodile, Espio the Chameleon, Rouge the Bat, and Silver the Hedgehog, who arrives from 200 years in the future to prevent a new apocalyptic timeline.
--11 years A.S.--Sonic Forces: Six months after Sonic's defeat and capture, the survivor from the Mobotropolis massacre finally manages to make contact with the remaining Freedom Fighters, now known as the Resistance. The Resistance believes that Sonic is dead, until new intel comes in from Rouge the Bat saying that Sonic is being held captive on board the Death Egg IV. The rookie is sent with a group of Resistance fighters to the Chemical Plant on West Side Island, where they are tasked with hijacking a shuttle from the Spaceport to get them to the Death Egg. While the Resistance attempts to hijack the shuttle, Tails is hiding out in the ruins of Mobotropolis, attempting to repair a badly-damaged Omega, when he is ambushed by a squad of Eggman's SWATbots. Tails instinctively cries out to Sonic for help, and finds his prayers answered when a rift in time opens up and a younger Sonic from 10 years ago leaps out and disposes of the robots. Tails thanks the younger Sonic for saving him, and summizes that the intense power that Eggman discovered is affecting other times and dimensions. While Classic Sonic and Tails pursue Eggman through the ravaged Mobotropolis, the Resistance uses the stolen shuttle to infiltrate the Death Egg IV, where they learn from Rouge that Sonic is about to be ejected into space. While the Resistance searches the Death Egg Prison Ward for Sonic, they force the station into high alert, and trigger an explosion that lowers the power to Sonic's cell and restraints just as Zavok arrives to execute him. Now freed of his prison, Sonic defeats Zavok and his giant Buzz-Bomber, and the Zeti leader vanishes into nothing as if he was just an illusion. Sonic busts out of the isolated prison and follows the connected facilities to the Death Egg's shuttle bay, where he meets up with the rookie and the two board the captured shuttle to escape the Death Egg IV with the other Resistance fighters. Knuckles informs Sonic that Eggman has built a weapons factory in the Green Hill desert on South Island, and even though he was just rescued, he and the rookie are needed to clear a path for the Resistance to take it out and cut off Eggman's arms supply to his robotic city of Metropolis. Sonic and the rookie use their combined speed and power to assault the Arsenal Pyramid, allowing the Resistance to swoop in after their initial run on the facility and take it out. Silver the Hedgehog, meanwhile, is on a mission to investigate Eggman's hidden lab in the Mystic Jungle when he is attacked by Infinite, who was sent to recover and destroy the obselete prototypes of the Phantom Ruby. Sonic arrives to provide backup, but is nearly eaten by a gigantic snake as he approaches the ruins. As Silver is fighting Infinite, he manages to knock a prototype Phantom Ruby from Infinite's grasp before being knocked back. Sonic steps in and actually manages to put up a fight against Infinite, but Infinite is still able to overpower Sonic before retreating.
--11 years A.S.--Sonic Forces: Classic Sonic and Tails come upon Eggman and Infinite in an undamaged portion of Green Hill, as Infinite destroys what he believes to be the last of the Phantom Ruby prototypes. While hiding from Eggman and Infinite, Classic Sonic and Tails overhear the two talking about their master plan, and how they will use the Phantom Ruby's power to wipe away the Resistance and rebuild the world in the image of the Elisian-Eggman Empire. They also mention Infinite's encounter with Sonic in the Mystic Jungle, letting Tails know that Sonic is alive. Infinite nearly spots the two of them spying, but thinks nothing of it and flies off, before Classic Sonic rushes Eggman, forcing the doctor to retreat further into Green Hill. Eggman tries to defeat Classic Sonic using a rebuilt Egg Dragoon, but Sonic manages to defeat it. Eggman reveals that his plan to destroy the Resistance will go into effect in just three days. Meanwhile, the Resistance is dealing with the evacuation of the remnants of Mobotropolis as Eggman's forces push through their defenses. With the rookie's help, the Resistance manages to evacuate the remaining civilians while pushing the enemy back. Tails and Classic Sonic search the Mystic Jungle casino for Sonic, and the rookie is sent to investigate two life readings when the Resistance detects them. Upon arriving at the site of Eggman's hidden lab, the rookie finds the discarded Phantom Ruby prototype, before meeting up with Tails and Classic Sonic and taking them to the Resistance base.
--11 years A.S.--Sonic Forces: Tails is overjoyed at being reunited with Sonic, and Sonic remarks how it's been "generations" since he's seen his younger self. Tails informs the Resistance of Eggman's plans, before they receive a distress call saying that Shadow the Hedgehog is attacking their troops in Mobotropolis. Sonic arrives in the city to find it being assaulted by an army of Death Egg Robots. He confronts Shadow, who attacks him before being ambushed and defeated by another Shadow, who reveals that the one that was attacking the Resistance was a virtual reality projection created by Infinite. Shadow reveals that Infinite can create unlimited numbers of replicas of Sonic's greatest foes, and there's no way the Resistance can win this fight. Knuckles receives intel that Eggman's forces are undermanned at his Metropolis base, and believes that it's an appropriate time to attack in a full fruntal assault called "Operation: Big Wave". As the assault is initiated, Infinite activates the Phantom Ruby, causing reality to warp and turning the tide of battle instantly in Eggman's favor until only the rookie is left to face Infinite alone. Inspired by Sonic's own courage, the rookie stands and fights Infinite instead of running away, and manages to hold their own. Infinite attempts to finish the rookie off, but the rookie's courage and willpower causes the Phantom Ruby prototype in their possession to trigger, allowing them to shift through Infinite's attacks until Infinite catches them and knocks them back, telling them they only have two days until the end of the Resistance. The rookie retreats with the Resistance forces to regroup back at their base, where Rouge reveals that there is an access point to Eggman's database in the Chemical Plant on West Side Island, and there might be information on Infinite's powers over virtual reality. Tails and Classic Sonic infiltrate the Chemical Plant and find the access terminal for Eggman's database, where Tails hacks in to locate the information on Infinite and the Phantom Ruby. Tails learns that the Phantom Ruby manipulates thought patterns in the brain to create a new reality for those affected. While the Resistance waits for Tails to return, Metal Sonic launches an attack on the Red Gate Bridge in Mobotropolis. Sonic and the rookie head out to stop Infinite's copy, but are ambushed by a Death Egg Robot. After disposing of the massive robot, the two locate the fake Metal Sonic at the bridge and destroy it with a Double Boost.
--11 years A.S.--Sonic Forces: Tails reveals that the Death Egg IV is providing the massive amount of energy needed to keep the Phantom Ruby active, and destroying it should weaken the Ruby considerably. Tails suggests creating a distraction for Eggman, while he hacks into the Death Egg's defenses from the Chemical Plant. The rookie is sent to Green Hill to distract Eggman by taking out his giant enemy crab, while Sonic and the Resistance arrive at the Chemical Plant to aid Tails in bringing down the Death Egg's weapons. After the Resistance claims the Chemical Plant, Classic Sonic is sent up to the Death Egg to destroy it and cut off the Phantom Ruby's power source. The rest of the real Deadly Six evacuate the still-"pregnant" Zeena and the remaining members of the Council of Eggmen into Goddess Elise's hidden palace in Null Space before the Death Egg IV is destroyed.
--11 years A.S.--Sonic Forces: Eggman watches the Death Egg IV's destruction from Green Hill, deciding to make a "tactical retreat" to mobilize his forces in preparation for his master plan in five hours. With the Phantom Ruby weakened, the Resistance makes another assault on Metropolis, and Sonic confronts Eggman and attempts to capture him. Infinite appears and creates a black hole to pull Sonic and the rookie into the endless void of Null Space, and Eggman gloats that he built a backup power source for the Phantom Ruby underneath Metropolis. Sonic and the rookie use a Double Boost to tap into the Speed Force and escape from Null Space, chasing after Eggman and Infinite and forcing them to retreat.
--11 years A.S.--Sonic Forces: With less than an hour before Eggman's master plan is unleashed, the full force of the Resistance engages with Eggman's armies at his fortress of Imperial Tower, where Sonic confronts Infinite on the battlefield. Just as Infinite is about to finish off Sonic and his friends, he is attacked by a fully-restored E-123 Omega, who wishes for payback for when Infinite attempted to destroy him six months prior. Infinite summons up a massive sun above the battle, intent on incinerating the entire Resistance. Tails notices the prototype Phantom Ruby reacting to the rookie holding it, and remembers Eggman mentioning the prototypes reacting to the individual who activated them. The rookie ascends to the top of the Imperial Tower and uses the power of their Phantom Ruby to fizzle out Infinite's sun, crushing Eggman's plan and destroying the prototype Ruby in the process. As the Resistance moves in to continue the fight, Sonic races to the tower to confront Infinite. As Infinite recharges the energy of the Phantom Ruby in his chest, the rookie leaps in to join the fight, and Sonic and the rookie finish off Infinite with a Double Boost. Defeated and beaten, Infinite disappears, but the Phantom Ruby's signal continues to move throughout the facility as Eggman gloats that his plan just went into overtime. Classic Sonic locates the entrance to the tower, while Sonic and the rookie race to the main reactor and destroy it, escaping before the facility explodes. As the Resistance celebrates their victory, Eggman suddenly appears in a new Death Egg Robot, revealing that the reactor was just a decoy and the Ruby is actually incorporated into his new Death Egg Robot Mk. IV, giving it an invulnerable energy supply. A massive army of replicas appears out of nowhere to massacre the Resistance, as Eggman unleashes the full power of his new robot. Classic Sonic and the rookie damage the outer shell of the robot, before the deadly inner pod uses the Ruby's power to transport Sonic, Classic Sonic, and the rookie into Null Space for a final showdown. After inflicting heavy damage to the Death Egg Robot, the three of them finish it off with one final Triple Boost, escaping the void and leaving Eggman trapped in Null Space, as the Phantom Ruby is hurled through a temporal rift 10 years into the past, creating a time loop. With the Phantom Ruby gone from this present time, the replicas fizzle out of existance, and Classic Sonic is sent back to his own time ten years ago. The Resistance disbands, and begins the task of cleaning up the mess that Eggman made of Mobius, but the former rookie leaves to help those they care about. However, all of them know that Mobius will never be truly free until Princess Sally sits on the throne again. The battle to reclaim Mobius is over; the war to keep it is just beginning.
Rebirth of a Goddess
--12 years A.S.--After 9 months inside her lover's womb, Goddess Elise emerges from within Zeena, fully transformed into a new Zeti body able to better hold her immense divine power. The newly-reborn Goddess Zelise is informed of what has transpired in the months she has been resting, and is angered by Eggman's failure, ordering him to be retrieved and brought to her palace at once. Eggman is found within the void of Null Space and brought to Goddess Zelise's hidden palace, where he is immediately placed under arrest by Julian Robotnik's SWATbots and sent to face the judgment of Zelise and the Council of Eggmen for his failure. Zelise is about to have Eggman executed, but is interrupted by Eggman's younger self. Classic Robotnik informs Zelise that executing Eggman now would create a paradox that would prevent the births of his descendants, Boom Eggman and Eggman Nega, both members of the Council of Eggmen. Realizing that Robotnik is correct in his statements, Zelise and Zeena instead opt to torture Eggman until they think he's learned not to fail the Zelisian-Eggman Empire again.
Many Happy Vows
--20 years A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog proposes to Princess Blaze the Cat, and the two are married a few months later, making Sonic prince of the Sol Dimension through his marriage to Blaze. To everyone's great surprise, Eggman even shows up at the wedding with no malicious intent. To no one's great surprise, Eggman sobs like a baby when the vows are exchanged.
--20 years A.S.--Knuckles the Echidna proposes to Shade, former member of the Nocturnus Clan, and the two of them settle on Angel Island after their wedding.
--20 years A.S.--Tails proposes to Cream the Rabbit, who is driven to tears at the prospect and says yes immediately. Cream becomes pregnant soon after getting married, and when it's revealed that the child is a boy, both she and Tails agree to name him Emerl Prower, as a touching tribute to their fallen friend.
The Final Battle
--25 years A.S.--LEGO Dimensions: While investigating a disturbance in Green Hill, Sonic finds one of the seven Chaos Emeralds, only for Eggman to confront him with the other six in hand and Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, and Big the Cat held captive. Eggman flaunts a new weapon capable of ripping holes in time and space--the Keystone Device--and demands Sonic give him the final Emerald. Sonic makes a comment about how Eggman's plans aren't as flawless as his mustache, which gives Eggman pause to reminisce about the past 25 years of the two being arch-enemies, giving Sonic all the time he needs to free his friends. The Keystone Device becomes unstable, sucking Sonic and his friends into different dimensions. Sonic materializes at Emerald Coast near Station Square, where he is ambushed by Eggman in a missile-firing catapult that he hasn't named yet. Sonic reassembles a windmill destroyed in the fighting and uses it to blow the missiles back at Eggman's invention, before delivering the final blow and chasing Eggman into another dimension, claiming one of the remaining Chaos Emeralds in the process. Sonic emerges inside Eggman's new Death Egg V, where Eggman uses the Keystone Device to summon Silver Sonic, Mecha Sonic, and Neo Metal Sonic from alternate dimensions. The repeated damage to the Eggmobile during the battle causes the Keystone Device to become unstable again, and Sonic claims another Emerald while Eggman makes his escape, neither of them realizing that the dimensional fissures have brought the restless entity Chaos on board the Death Egg V. Sonic emerges in a floating replica of the Metropolis Zone out in space, where he gets in contact with Tails and has him send the Tornado 1 through a dimensional rift. Sonic and Tails chase down Eggman and use the Tornado 1 and the station's defenses to force him to flee through another dimensional rift, allowing Sonic to claim another Emerald before being transported to the Marble Zone, where he meets the unholy abomination known only as Omochao. Eggman ambushes them in a new invention that uses the Marble Zone's lava as power, but Sonic manages to defeat it--despite Omochao's odds growing ever increasingly more grim--and Eggman escapes into another dimensional rift, allowing Sonic to claim another Emerald. In the realm between dimensions, Sonic rips the Keystone Device from Eggman's Eggmobile and sends Eggman spiriling out of control, before freeing his friends from their dimensional prisons. Big tells Sonic he saw a sparkly thing in a place with lots of walls, and saws, and water, leading Sonic to the Labyrinth Zone. Making his search quick, Sonic finds the Emerald in the Labyrinth before returning to his friends, just in time to see three strange people come through from another rift. Tails shows up in the Tornado 2 and says that Eggman has the final Emerald, and it's on board the Death Egg V. Sonic and Tails create a dimensional portal right in front of the Death Egg's main hangar, and Sonic jumps in to engage Eggman in his Death Egg Robot. Eggman turns the systems up to full power, which causes the machine to overheat, giving Sonic the opportunity to attack and drive Eggman back, just as Chaos enters the hangar to claim the Emeralds. Eggman flees with the last Emerald, leaving Sonic to fight the massive Chaos alone and saying he can't give the Emerald to Sonic as he needs it to power the Death Egg's defenses. Chaos knocks aside the Tornado 2 when it flies by, causing Tails to drop the Keystone Device, which Chaos absorbs. While Sonic is fighting Chaos, Tails gets a reading of someone else in the area, just before
Android_Amy_Rose knocks Eggman out with her hammer and takes the Chaos Emerald from him, tossing it to Sonic. Sonic uses the Emeralds to become Super Sonic, allowing him to defeat Chaos and retrieve the Keystone Device just as the Death Egg V is about to explode. Super Sonic uses the Keystone Device to save Amy from being sucked out into space by porting her back to Mobius, but Eggman follows into the portal, with Sonic close behind to ensure Amy's safety.
--25 years A.S.--Big's Big Fishing Adventure 3 The Trial: Big the Cat and Froggy the Frog are tasked with making a video game based upon their adventures, so they travel to the Space Colony ARK to use the Eclipse Cannon computer. Unfortunately, Big has no idea how to program, and only gets a hastily drawn black and white picture of the game's box art done the day before launch. Froggy suddenly hops away, forcing Big to go off to look for him around the ARK, where he runs into Dr. Eggman, who says he's heard that someone's making a game about him and wants to make sure they do it right. Big says that it's weird that their games come out on the same day, which makes Eggman realize that the game is actually about Big; not him. Eggman teleports down to Station Square to make his plans to take over Big's game once it is cancelled, and Big follows him down to search for Froggy, and to look for a bite to eat. Big finds a GUN maximum security crate, but can't open it with his fishing rod. While searching the city for Froggy, Big enounters Sonic before Eggman ambushes them both, but Sonic and Big manage to take out the Badniks he throws at them. Eggman tells Big that the quickest way to get to where Froggy is is through the Labyrinth. Big searches the Labyrinth, but realizes that Eggman lied to him when he doesn't find Froggy anywhere. Sonic tells him to catch the train to the Mystic Ruins while he deals with Eggman. Before Big reaches the train, he comes across Knuckles and Shadow, who have both arrived with a message for him. The two get into a heated argument over who had the better game, but they tell Big that Froggy was last seen in the Mystic Ruins jungle, just where Big is headed. Knuckles also tells Big that it's okay if he has to delay his game, and Big heads to the Mystic Ruins, where he fishes for and catches Froggy. Froggy apparently tells him that his fans are okay with him delaying the game, and Big agrees, saying he doesn't want his game to be like the one from 10 years ago. The next day, Big wakes up from a strange dream and goes to tell Froggy about it, only to realize his pollywog pal has gone missing... again...
--25 years A.S.--After the final defeat of Eggman,
Android_Amy_Rose heads off on her own to fulfill her own mission to destroy Neo Metal Sonic, leaving the deranged machine broken and beaten before her. Neo Metal Sonic tries to download his consciousness into Amy's systems like a virus, forcing Amy to seek out Tails for help. Tails is unable to defeat Neo Metal Sonic's virus, but programs his computer to run for 50-100 years creating a program that can combat it while Amy is left deactivated. Amy says goodbye to her friends and enters her long slumber.
Sonic Boom--The Destruction of the Sol Dimension
--99 years A.S.--Knuckles Pachacamac II--descendant of Knuckles and Shade Pachacamac--is born on Angel Island.
--100 years A.S.--Prince Sonic Sol II--descendant of Prince Sonic and Princess Blaze--is born in the Sol Dimension. Eggman Nega appears once again in the Sol Dimension and unleashes an unknown experiment that causes the entire dimension to become unstable. Silver the Hedgehog arrives in the Sol Dimension too late to stop Eggman Nega's destructive plans, but he and Queen Aleena Sol manage to use Chaos Control between a Chaos and Sol Emerald to create a portal between the Sol Dimension and Mobius. As they struggle to hold the portal open long enough for the survivors of the cataclysm to escape the dying Sol Dimension, Queen Aleena tells Silver to leave her and get her infant son, Prince Sonic Sol II, to safety on the other side of the portal. Silver tries to object, but Aleena tells him that someone needs to remain in the Sol Dimension to keep the portal open so that any survivors that remain have any hope of reaching Mobius before the imminent collapse, and her life is a small sacrifice for her son's safety. Silver reluctantly takes the infant Sonic through the portal, and leaves him in the care of a family on Seaside Island before returning to his own time. After the last of the survivors make it through the portal, Queen Aleena Sol releases her hold on the opening and embraces her end, as the Sol Dimension collapses, taking Aleena and Eggman Nega with it. Unknown to Silver and Aleena, one of Eggman Nega's newest creations--Metal Sonic 4.0--slipped through the portal disguised as one of the survivors, using its infiltration technology. Metal Sonic 4.0 takes on a new designation--"Morpho"--and blends in with the population of Seaside Island, waiting for the perfect moment to reveal itself.

--111 years A.S.--Dr. Ivo Robotnik II attempts to restart his grandfather's legacy by taking on the name of Dr. Eggman and attempting to rebuild the Eggman Empire. While this new Eggman has just as brilliant a mind as his predecessor, he doesn't have nearly as much skill to put it to use. He does, however, manage to improve on some of his grandfather's old robot designs, upgrade the old Orbot 2.0 and Cubot, and even unearth and restrain the original Neo Metal Sonic to do his evil bidding.
--112 years A.S.--Prince Sonic Sol II meets Miles Prower II--who has taken on his ancestor's nickname of Tails--on Seaside Island, and the two become best friends. Knuckles Pachacamac II leaves Angel Island to explore his ancestor's legacy, and runs into Sonic and Tails on Seaside Island. After trying to prove how tough he is against Sonic, he agrees to live with Sonic and Tails in Tails' beachside home.
--113 years A.S.--While exploring an old workshop belonging to his ancestor, Tails finds what appears to be a large hammer and a strange pod that contains the deactivated
Android_Amy_Rose. The lab's computer still running in standby mode seems to state that a process to develop a program to clean an intense virus out of Amy's systems has finally completed, and Tails takes the lifeless Amy back home, where he reactivates her. At first, Amy thinks she is with the original Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, but as Tails fills her in on exactly where and when she is, Amy begins to understand that the familiar faces before her are merely descended from those she knew. Knowing this, she decides to stay with the group and add her strength to their team, even starting to develop feelings for the new Sonic like she did before.

Sonic Boom--Lyric's Revenge
--115 years A.S.--Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric: While chasing down Dr. Eggman, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy are ambushed by the reprogrammed Neo Metal Sonic. Knuckles and Amy split off from the group to draw Metal away, while Sonic and Tails continue to pursue Eggman, who destroys the road ahead with a barrage of missiles and sends Sonic and Tails tumbling into a forest clearing. Eggman unleashes a new army of ancient robots that he found and reprogrammed, and orders them to destroy Sonic and Tails, but the two manage to easily overpower the initial assault and manage to make it to the entrance of a hidden forest temple, where they reunite with Knuckles and Amy. As they examine the strange ancient carvings on the temple door, Amy remarks how the drawings look just like Sonic and Tails. Eggman and Neo Metal Sonic arrive with a massive army of ancient robots, forcing Sonic to trigger the mechanism that allows the team to enter the temple--and was strangely made to allow Sonic access to it, as if it was placed here for him. After initiating a complex light beam reflection system to allow them to progress deeper into the temple, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy suddenly find themselves trapped in the main chamber. As the others start to blame Sonic for their current situation, they are interrupted when the chamber's other resident--the Last Ancient, Lyric--is freed from his stone prison. Recognizing Sonic as the one who imprisoned him, Lyric prepares to settle some "unfinished business" with him, and allows Sonic to attack him, using Sonic's spin dash to shatter the sphere trapping the arms of his robotic suit. Lyric ensnares Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy in a binding of four energy shackles, before summoning his robot armies and breaking free of his tomb to continue his quest for the destruction of all organic life. As Knuckles continues to berate Sonic for getting him and everyone else into this mess, Tails manages to reverse-engineer the shackles, and the group destroys the robots left behind to guard them before taking the shackle emitters as new grapple beams, using them to escape the tomb. After finding their way back to the nearby mining colony, Sonic and friends meet up with an old archaeologist named Cliff, and his robot assistant, Q-N-C. Cliff tells them of Lyric's quest to gather the Ancients' sacred crystals, and that if his prison is still functioning, there must be a crystal nearby. Sonic and team race to the underground mines near the tomb, but Amy and Knuckles get sidetracked saving a group of miners from a mine collapse. The grateful miners give them the first of the Ancients' crystals as thanks for rescuing them. The crystal grants the group access to an ancient facility where Lyric had been preparing his robot armies before being imprisoned a thousand years prior. Once inside the facility, Sonic and Tails become separated a few levels down from Knuckles and Amy, where they encounter the rogue MAIA A.I. unit who turned on Lyric and assisted in his imprisonment. MAIA informs Sonic and Tails that the facility contains a machine that could take them back in time, where they could obtain a map that reveals the location of the Ancients' crystals. Knuckles and Amy manage to get the generator for the facility working again, but just as Sonic and Tails are about to enter the portal to the past, Shadow the Hedgehog appears and challenges Sonic to test his power. Sonic flings Shadow through the portal just as it opens, sending him to a point in the future. With Shadow out of the way, Sonic and Tails enter the portal and are taken a thousand years into the past.
--115 years A.S.--Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric: After retrieving the map from a thousand years in the past, Sonic and Tails return to their present time and meet up with Amy and Knuckles, who have found another crystal. As Lyric is searching for the crystal map, Eggman arrives and the two form an uneasy alliance to retrieve the map and the crystals from Sonic and his friends. Eggman tries to corner them in the dangerous river rapids, but they manage to give him the slip by going over a waterfall. Leaving them for dead, Eggman reports to Lyric that while he was unable to retrieve the map, Sonic and his friends are no more. Lyric begins using his driller worms to scour the land for the remaining crystals, and eventually, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy come upon one of his mining sites and manage to steal a crystal from a driller worm. Heading back to Cliff's workshop, they discover that Cliff has uncovered an ancient biplane that was used over a thousand years ago, and the group decides to take it as their new plane, with Tails christening it the "Tornado 3", after his great-grandfather's two similar biplanes. The team uses the Tornado 3 to fly to a temple near the village on Seaside Island, where another crystal is located. After obtaining the crystal at the top of a waterfall, they encounter Eggman and Lyric and bait them away from the village before giving them the slip and making their way to the main temple. Lyric, angered by Eggman's constant failures, attempts to end their partnership, before Eggman tries to unleash Neo Metal Sonic against him. Lyric uses his suit's abilities to tap into Metal's renegade programming, causing Metal to turn on Eggman just like he did with Eggman's grandfather. Lyric offers to upgrade Metal's code in exchange for Metal helping Lyric to find the crystals and destroy Sonic. After Sonic and his friends reach the crystal at the core of the temple, Metal bursts in and steals it, forcing the team to give chase. They manage to force Metal to drop the crystal, leaving him broken and beaten as they move to the next temple. Tails and Knuckles stay behind to protect the village, while Sonic and Amy descend into the underwater temple and grab the next crystal, before they are ambushed by the temple's guardian and forced to flee. After reuniting with Tails and Knuckles, the group heads to the next location on the map, where Tails and Amy catch Lyric getting into a fight with Eggman in the doctor's new mech. Lyric leaves, not wanting to waste his time with Eggman's pathetic attempts to destroy him, and Eggman spots Tails and Amy watching from the cliffside. He catches up to the group in the main chamber of the next temple, as they're about to claim the next to last of the eight crystals. Sonic and his friends manage to defeat Eggman's mech, forcing the doctor to retreat. The crystal they obtain opens the way to the Ancients' sky palace, where the final crystal rests. After obtaining the last crystal, Sonic and his friends are surrounded by Lyric and his robot soldiers, and forced to surrender the eight crystals. Even as Tails, Knuckles, and Amy offer up the crystals to Lyric in exchange for Sonic's life, Lyric orders his robots to shoot Sonic dead in front of them, finishing their business from a thousand years ago. Lyric escapes with the crystals, as Tails, Knuckles, and Amy pull a still-living Sonic from a pile of rubble, and Tails calls in the Tornado 3 to pick everyone up. They follow Lyric to his fortress, where he is preparing to use the power of the crystals to enhance his robot army and destroy all organic life. Sonic and his friends destroy the generators holding the crystals just in time to put a stop to Lyric's plans, before Lyric uses their own grapple beams to restrain them. When it looks like the fight is about to turn in Lyric's favor, Eggman appears in his damaged mech and hits Lyric with a missile, causing him to release Sonic and the others from their bindings. Sonic uses this chance to restrain Lyric in his own energy shackle, just before Shadow appears through the other end of the portal Sonic knocked him into earlier. Sonic and his friends are prepared to fight Shadow off, but he only remarks how they seem to have taken care of Lyric for him. Sonic rips off Lyric's robot control module, and Knuckles chucks it away, putting an end to Lyric's machine empire. Eggman, however, recovers the control module, and uses it to reactivate Neo Metal Sonic and restrain it back under his control.
--115 years A.S.--Sonic Boom Shattered Crystal Comic/Sonic Boom Shattered Crystal: Lyric is freed by some of his remaining robot servants, and is about to continue on his quest to conquer Mobius, when Shadow the Hedgehog attempts to intervene. Lyric manages to subdue Shadow with a headband that gives him full control over Shadow's mind. Elsewhere, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy are pulling Sticks the Badger from a quarry after a fierce rockslide, when Sticks tells them that she's been hearing from the rocks that an army of evil is set to bring doom to Mobius. The group leaves Sticks to deal with her own issues, and Amy heads for some nearby ancient ruins with Knuckles acting as her escort. Knuckles stands guard at the scrapyard--not very well, of course--while Amy explores inside the ruins, and finds a stone with an old inscription giving clues to the Lost Crystal of Power, as well as information pertaining to Lyric. Lyric ambushes Amy in the ruins and locks her in a mind-control headband, taking her as his captive just as she is contacting Sonic and Tails for help. The two head to the ruins, where they find Amy's broken tablet, and Tails manages to extract several fragments of data from it. After losing a game of "Rock, Paper, Scissors" to Sonic, Tails agrees to be the one to tell Sticks the bad news about Amy's capture, and heads to her burrow in the jungle. Sticks actually reacts better than expected at the news that her best friend has been kidnapped, saying that an evil snake will make a nice pair of boots for Amy, before she races off to meet up with Sonic. Later on, while Sonic and Sticks are trying to pull Sticks' boomerang out of a broken Lyric robot, Tails deciphers another of Amy's notes on her broken tablet, saying that the next stop is the scrapyard to meet up with Knuckles. After telling Knuckles of Amy's kidnapping, Sonic and the others are led to the nearby canyon by another decoded note on Amy's tablet. Tails decodes another message while searching the canyon, saying that Amy discovered information on some crystal shards that lead to ultimate power. As the team heads to the other side of the canyon where Amy was broadcasting from, they encounter the brainwashed Shadow the Hedgehog, and break him free of Lyric's control. Shadow races off to find Lyric and make him pay for using him as a slave, while Sonic and his friends search the nearby canyon city for clues about Amy's location. Tails manages to decode another fragment of Amy's tablet, saying that she discovered a signal coming from underground. Sonic and friends follow the signal and discover a hidden robot factory belonging to Lyric, who is assembling a new army to conquer Mobius. As Tails and Knuckles look for a way to shut down the factory, they are interrupted by the arrival of Neo Metal Sonic, who is guarding the factory under the orders of Dr. Eggman. After fending off Metal, the group loses the robot in a volcanic cavern, before Tails decodes another piece of Amy's tablet, detailing the location of a hangar full of planes built by the Ancients. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Sticks use one of the planes to reach Lyric's airship, where he is holding Amy captive. After the four of them confront and defeat Lyric together, Shadow the Hedgehog appears and finishes him off by dropping him out of one of the airship's portholes. As Sonic and his friends celebrate their victory, Shadow leaves to continue his immortal life alone. Lyric's current fate is unknown.
Sonic Boom--The Big Boy
--115 years A.S.--Sonic Boom Comic Issue 1 "Getting a Little Boulder Part One of... eh... One": Eggman unleashes his newest weapon--the Big Boy--upon Seaside Island, and Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy arrive on the coastline to stop it. After Knuckles gets stepped on by the giant mech, Amy takes charge and coordinates the team to hit the mech's weak points and send it crashing into the ocean. As they are celebrating their victory, Sticks the Badger rushes up to them and tells them that Tails' house has been robbed--as in, literally been uprooted and stolen. Sticks claims that Tails' shack was stolen by a cyborg rock golem that came out of the ground and carried off Tails' house on its head. Amy comes to the conclusion that Eggman had his robots sneak a device underneath Tails' house during the battle with the Big Boy, which gathered up the nearby rock deposits and molded them into the robo-golem that carried off Tails' house. Knuckles doesn't seem to get it at all, but before Amy can knock some sense into him, Sticks picks up the rock golem's trail using the massive footprints the monster left behind. The team catches up to the rock monster, and Sonic has Amy and Knuckles return to the remains of Tails' shack to wait while he, Tails, and Sticks draw the golem back to them. Knuckles wonders why he's missing all the action, and Amy berates him for his stupidity, telling him to actually try to think for the next five minutes while they see Sonic's plan through. After Sonic successfully leads the golem back to them, Amy and Knuckles launch their attack and take out the golem's legs, while Sonic, Tails, and Sticks finish it off and return Tails' house to its rightful place. As the team celebrates, Knuckles sneaks away to Eggman's island lair, and offers to team up with him to get his revenge on Amy and the rest of his former friends for seeing him as stupid... which he is...
--115 years A.S.--Sonic Boom Comic Issue 2 "Knuckleduster": After giving his Big Boy mech a quick patch job, Eggman uses it to launch another attack on Seaside Island. As Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Sticks attempt to stop him, Knuckles suddenly arrives and reveals that he has sided with Eggman. He manages to subdue each of his former friends and imprison them in tightly-bound cages--except for Sticks, who brought her own cage. Now unhindered, Eggman takes Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Sticks captive aboard his mech, while he tries to decide whether to conquer or destroy the neighboring village. Sonic begins to have a mental breakdown in his cage from not being able to move and go fast for too long. Knuckles, standing guard over his captured friends, tells them that this is all part of his own "brilliant" plan to fool both Eggman and them, to get back at them for calling him dumb all the time. Amy remarks how by trapping them in cages, he's basically let Eggman win, and Knuckles realizes that his plan is a dumb idea after all. Tails tells him that he can still set things right and let them out, but Knuckles says that he'll only mess that up too. Amy and Tails try to trick him into thinking that his plan actually was a good idea, but this only causes him to rush off to clobber Eggman without setting them free. Desperate to get free, Sonic starts to spindash wildly in his cage, causing Sticks to jump out of her cage--that was hers to begin with--and free everyone just so Sonic will stop complaining. Knuckles confronts Eggman and begins to take down his mech, as Sonic and his friends bust out to join the battle, forcing Eggman to retreat, stranding Orbot and Cubot on the beach in the process. Knuckles complains that he wanted to rescue everyone, forcing Tails to drop Amy as he's flying with her just so Knuckles can claim he saved her. Amy and Knuckles make amends, and Knuckles tosses Orbot and Cubot back to Eggman, just before Amy starts freaking out--her Pico Pico Hammer that she's carried with her for over a century has gone missing!
--115 years A.S.--Sonic Boom Comic Issue 3 "Hammer-Spaced": Distraught over the loss of her hammer, Amy spends the next day crying her eyes out and wondering where it could have gone, horrified at the very notion of it being buried in the sand, taken by Eggman, or lost to the ocean. Sticks, fed up with Amy's crying, throws Sonic and his friends out of their own house and orders them to find Amy's hammer, no matter where it is, while she attempts to find a new weapon for Amy to use in the meantime. At Eggman's island lair, Orbot and Cubot are attempting to ready the Big Boy for another assault, when Cubot discovers Amy's hammer in some rubble inside the mech. Orbot attempts to take the hammer from him to show it to Eggman, but Cubot won't give up his cool new toy. As he and Orbot fight over the hammer, they accidentally disable the alarm systems on the Big Boy as Eggman is getting ready for launch, just before they end up launching the hammer into the air and sending it catapulting through the mech, causing it to crumble. Once outside of Eggman's mech and his fortress, the hammer's homing protocols that the original Tails built into it kick in, sending it rocketing back to Seaside Island and the waiting arms of its rightful owner. Sticks, meanwhile, uncovers a mysterious and powerful item in the grass nearby...
--115 years A.S.--Sonic Boom Comic Issue 4 "Sticks and Stones": Eggman attacks the village with his newly-upgraded Big Boy mech, now with countermeasures in place to repel any form of attack by Sonic and his friends. Sticks, however, reveals the item of ultimate power she found--the "Rock of Justice"! Sonic and his friends shrug it off as just a rock, and Eggman is insulted by the very notion of using a rock to challenge him, continuing to beat back the heroes as they try to get through his defenses. Sticks begs them to use the rock's power to defeat Eggman, seeing her friends getting beaten back. She gives the rock a good toss, sending it bouncing around the mech before it slips between the frontal exhaust vent and hits the central core, causing the core to explode and making the entire mech collapse. As Sonic and his friends congratulate Sticks on stopping Eggman, Sticks says that the Rock of Justice used up all of its power in that one attack, and goes home to put it to rest... by throwing it in the pile with all the others! Eggman, meanwhile, returns to his lair to prepare to launch his latest invention against Sonic.
Sonic Boom--The Great Race
--115 years A.S.--Sonic Boom Comic Issue 5 "Eggtoberfest": Eggman gets the urge to blow up a bridge, so he attempts to sell a bridge to people in the village so he can then blow it up. Unfortunately, he comes to find that people don't trust him, and that it's making pulling off evil schemes very difficult. Attempting to win back the good will of the people so he can then keep taking advantage of them, Eggman consults a book about how to win back the good will of the people, but even the book's suggestions aren't winning back anyone's trust. Eggman decides to build a festival at his evil lair--after jumping through hoops and signing the proper paperwork, of course--and holds the first ever "Eggtoberfest" to get people to trust him again. Unfortunately, he forgets to hire people to operate the attractions, and the patrons soon begin to riot, using torches and pitchforks that they conveniently got as a torch and pitchfork store that Eggman set up. Eggman heads to Meh Burger to find Sonic and his friends and beg them to help operate the park. Sonic operates the roller coaster, Knuckles serves up the fast food, Tails supervises the airplane carousel, Amy watches over a high striker ride, and Sticks looks after the haunted house. As Eggman watches over the Eggtoberfest from his cameras, he overhears his patrons talking about how they won't be bought by Eggman's attempt at a carnival, and how his festival literally stinks. Fed up with people not trusting him, Eggman orders his robots to attack, and Sonic and friends step in to stop him, destroying the robots Eggman sends out to ruin everyone's fun. Disheartened that no one will ever trust him now, Eggman mopes in the ruins of his Eggtoberfest, before Comedy Chimp approaches him and says that he's interested in buying that bridge that Eggman was offering earlier. Eggman says that the bridge is off the table, and Comedy Chimp says that he'll plan to invest on a go-kart instead, which gives Eggman an idea for a new plan.
--115 years A.S.--Sonic Boom Comic Issue 6/Issue 7 "Everybody's Super Sonic Racing": Eggman challenges Sonic to the first Go-Kart Pan-Island Grand Prix, claiming the race will be fair and that weapons, powers, and robots will not be allowed, even though he will be the one providing the go-karts. Sonic and his friends accept, but Sticks backs out, convinced it's part of a scheme to use bio-scanners in the go-karts to copy their data into Eggman's machines, before Eggman turns his go-kart into a giant mecha-dragon, or something... On the day of the race, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Eggman, Orbot, and Cubot ready their go-karts at the starting line for the race, along with Comedy Chimp, and a mysterious new driver. When Fastidious Beaver starts the race, Team Sonic takes an early lead, but Eggman claims this is just what he had planned. Amy is stopped by several baby ducks crossing the path, while the hidden bio-scanner in her go-kart scans her data. Amy berates the other racers for nearly harming the ducks as they pass, before the ducks reveal themselves to be robots and attack her, forcing her go-kart into the water. Tails is ambushed by Orbot and Cubot, before the two robots end up hitting each other and getting into an argument, causing them both to crash. Tails grows suspicious and pulls over to check his go-kart, while the hidden bio-scanner steals his data and causes his go-kart to roll off a cliff. Comedy Chimp wonders if he should pull over and help Tails, but Bee Bots hovering above him project holograms of a devil and angel on his shoulders, who convince him to crash his go-kart and create a spectacle for the audience. Eggman notices that his bio-scanners have almost finished stealing the data from Team Sonic, and decides to move forward with "Project Hodge-Podge". Knuckles catches up with the new driver as his go-kart's bio-scanner steals his data. He becomes angered when the driver won't respond to his attempts at pleasant conversation, and gives the driver a punch, which reveals it to be a bomb planted by Eggman. The bomb explodes, taking Knuckles out of the race and sending him flying into the water. Eggman remarks how the bomb was meant for Sonic, but it doesn't harm his plans, and he uses a horn to cause a bridge to give out under Sonic's go-kart after it finishes scanning his data, causing Sonic to fall into the ravine below. Sonic is rescued by Tails, who catches his go-kart in midair before lowering it down to Amy and Knuckles, who have made a makeshift safety net out of their Enerbeams. Knuckles is ready to pummel Eggman, but Sonic tells him to let him beat Eggman fairly, as Eggman challenged them to a fair race, but is now breaking his own rules. Knuckles tosses Sonic and his go-kart back up onto the track, and Sonic catches up to Eggman, who deploys all of his hidden traps and countermeasures on the track to attempt to keep him at bay. Sonic manages to evade them all as the two get closer to the finish line, before Eggman transforms his go-kart into a large tentacled Spider-Kart. Watching from the finish line, Sticks admits that she was wrong about Eggman's go-kart turning into a mecha-dragon, but is satisfied at getting two out of three of her suspicions correct and heads over to rescue Sonic, who is blocked from the finish line by the Spider-Kart. Tails, Knuckles, and Amy arrive in the Typhoon, smashing it into the Spider-Kart and allowing Sonic to cross the finish line and win the race. Sticks climbs up the Spider-Kart to attack Eggman, and Sonic joins in, with Tails, Knuckles, and Amy entering the fight after finding a parking spot for the Typhoon. Together, they tear the Spider-Kart apart, but during the battle, Sticks is sent flying into a coconut tree by one of the Spider-Kart's tentacles. As the rest of Team Sonic celebrates their victory, Eggman rides off on one of the Spider-Kart's tentacle-wheels, saying he will be back. Sticks, meanwhile, comes to next to a mysterious glowing portal, just as a figure emerges from it.

--115 years A.S.--During Sticks' absence, Eggman is also pulled from his time by a god-like being from Mobius' past, and is inducted into the Elisian-Eggman Empire's Council of Eggmen, along with his grandfather, the original Eggman, and his future grandson, Eggman Nega. He is eventually forced back to his own time, when the Elisian-Eggman Empire is eventually brought down by the previous Sonic and his Freedom Fighter movement.
--115 years A.S.--Sonic Boom Comic Issue 11 "Eggman Gets a Gorilla": Eggman unleashes his newest invention, "MeBot", a robot based entirely on himself--complete with an anime-style battle background suggested by a fan on Eggman's message board. Sonic uses his spin dash to easily topple MeBot, remarking how Eggman shouldn't have made it so top-heavy. Eggman is forced to flee in shame as Sonic laughs at him. Back at his lair, Eggman sees that his fan from before--Eggfan91--is now complaining about MeBot despite all the work Eggman did on it. Eggman decides he needs a new approach to robot warfare, and orders a gorilla off the internet, saying that a gorilla's brute strength and aggression are just what he needs. Several weeks later, Eggman returns to his lair after MeBot 4.0 proves to be a failure, when Orbot and Cubot arrive with a crate they found on his doorstep. Eggman opens the crate to discover the gorilla he had ordered earlier, before it starts beating him up and trashing his lair. Unable to stop the rampaging ape, Eggman heads to Sonic's house to beg him for help. When Sonic goes to Eggman's lair to handle the gorilla, he finds it chilling out on the couch in front of the television. The gorilla apologizes for the mess and introduces himself as Kyle, saying that he just flipped out from being ordered around after being stuck in a crate for two days. Sonic tells Kyle that he needs to get him home before Eggman gets back, but Kyle says that since he was ordered by Eggman, the lair was supposed to be his home. Sonic allows Kyle to stay at his place on Seaside Island, but discovers that Kyle is extremely clumsy and a troublesome moocher who is eating all of his food and taking up all of Sonic's "me" time. Tails suggests that Kyle should get a job, since he is living in Sonic's house and must abide by Sonic's rules, but no matter what job Kyle takes, he always gets fired because of his clumsiness. Sonic asks Kyle what he's always wanted to do, and Kyle says that he's always loved comedy, giving Sonic the idea to have Kyle get a job with Comedy Chimp on his show, as the "Slapstick Gorilla". Eggman watches Kyle's comedy act on TV and demands Orbot to order him a gorilla, forgetting about what happened before.
--115 years A.S.--Sonic Boom Comic Issue 11 "True Stories": Eggman loses a wireless earpiece and deduces that he must have lost it installing spy cameras around town. He first checks the camera installed in Tails' workshop, where he sees Tails working on a "Dance Instructor Bot". He then switches to the camera in Amy's house, which could have caught Amy in a VERY compromising position, but instead catches her angrily trying to squash a Smilebug that is trollfacing her. Eggman then switches to a view of Sonic taking a nap, before being disturbed by Kyle the Gorilla, who wants to show him a new bit for his comedy routine... by smashing a pie into Sonic's face. Though Sonic doesn't find it funny, Eggman finds it hilarious. Eggman then switches to a view of Knuckles trying to buy a hat, before being scammed into buying a pile of hats. Knuckles calls one of the fedoras--the type that Eggman is currently wearing--stupid, saying that only an idiot would wear it. Angered by Knuckles' comment, Eggman decides to look in on Sticks, only for the screen to show Sticks looking in on Eggman... looking in on Sticks... looking in on Eggman... and so on... until they both realize they're spying on each other. Having enough of this stupidity, Eggman angrily walks away from the camera display, only to step on the earpiece he's been looking for. Before he can explode with rage, the doorbell rings, calming him down. Thinking it's the pizza he ordered, Eggman opens the door to find a female gorilla standing there, and remembers he told Orbot to order one... just before the gorilla beats him up.
Sonic Boom--The New Element
--116 years A.S.--Sonic Boom Fire and Ice: Eggman discovers a new element known as Ragnium, on the island of Ragna Rock, and plans to use this element to enhance his robots and take his revenge on Sonic. In order to draw more Ragnium to him, he builds a new robot known as "RagnaBot", supposedly capable of attracting Ragnium to it using eco-magnets. The robot's eco-magnets end up attracting everything else but Ragnium, causing Eggman to give it the name of "D-Fekt" instead, and ordering it to protect and observe the various elemental fissures the Ragnium mining is creating across Mobius. Sonic, Amy, and Tails are also concerned about the strange fissures popping up across the world, and the curious weather anomalies associated with them. While setting up monitoring beacons on the Kodiak Frontier, Sonic and Amy accidentally rupture a dormant fissure, which infuses their communicators with elemental energies that enable them to close the fissure. Watching this from his own communicator, Tails heads off from Seaside Island to meet up with Sonic and Amy at Kodiak Frontier, but before they meet with with Tails, Sonic and Amy encounter Eggman's robot D-Fekt, who attempts to prevent them from sealing more fissures with little success. When Tails arrives, he is able to transfer the fire and ice abilities in Sonic and Amy's communicators to the rest of the team, before he detects several fissures near the village on Seaside Island, where he sent Sticks the Badger to investigate. As they are about to leave to head for their home, the three of them catch sight of D-Fekt again, just in time to see it scooped up in the claw of Eggman's Eggmobile, and berated by the doctor when he accidentally activates his loudspeaker. Eggman lets slip that D-Fekt is supposed to protect the fissures, before he lets the robot slip away and turns his attention to Sonic, kidnapping him and taking him to a hidden mobile fortress on Thunder Island. Eggman reveals that his plan is to humiliate Sonic by forcing him to compete against his unbeatable Ragnium-charged EggBot Racers, but Sonic is unimpressed and defeats the competition before escaping and meeting up with his friends on Seaside Island. After containing two fissures and locating Sticks on the beach, they discover that she's also found D-Fekt, and apparently thinks that D-Fekt is cute and adorable, calling it "AdoraBot 2000". D-Fekt manages to slip away, and Sticks agrees to join up with the rest of the team. In the nearby jungle, the group encounters Knuckles the Echidna, who joins them on their quest as well. After sealing more fissures at the Paleo Tarpits, the team heads to the Cutthroat Cove, where Tails finds traces of Ragnium in the fissures, and detects a moving Ragnium source. After following the source, the group finds it is actually D-Fekt, and Tails theorizes that the robot and the fissures are connected. Needing to analyze the robot further and learn where it came from, the group corners it in the Gothic Gardens, and Tails confirms that D-Fekt has been in contact with Ragnium. Sticks, unfortunately, releases D-Fekt, saying that holding AdoraBot 2000 violated his civil rights. After finding D-Fekt again, Tails has Sticks place a tracker on the robot so the team can follow it back to the Ragnium source on Ragna Rock, where Eggman is creating the fissures by pumping the bi-product of his Ragnium mining to adjacent islands. Since Sonic and his friends have been sealing the fissures, however, the island is now on the verge of exploding. Eggman orders Orbot and Cubot to destroy Sonic, before D-Fekt appears and amazes Eggman with his magnetic powers, until Eggman gets pinned to a wall by a metal beam. Eggman begs Sonic and his friends to stop the out of control D-Fekt, and Sonic and Sticks defeat the robot, but not before Eggman's Ragnium deposits are completely destroyed. Eggman is left hanging from a metal beam after the battle, before part of his outfit rips and sends him falling, but Sonic catches him, and sustains a bit of back pain in the process. Eggman tearfully apologizes to D-Fekt for not seeing that all the robot wanted was for Eggman to love it, and he gives D-Fekt to Sonic and his friends as gratitude for saving him. Tails makes some minor adjustments to D-Fekt, rendering the robot completely harmless before giving it to an overjoyed Sticks, and Team Sonic heads home, leaving Eggman to review his insurance policy on active bots.

--204 years A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2006: Iblis Apocalypse Timeline--Shadow the Hedgehog and Rouge the Bat are sent into the future by the malevolent entity known as Mephiles the Dark, who was released from the Scepter of Darkness 200 years prior. They find a barren fiery ruin of a world, torn apart by the fiery being known as Iblis. As they're searching Eggman's ruined base for clues, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles arrive in the future after being transported by Eggman's Solaris prototype. Shadow and Rouge meet up with them, and tell them that in order to get back to their own time, a space-time rift must be created between Sonic and Shadow both using Chaos Control. Sonic and his friends head off to locate a Chaos Emerald in the ruined Soleanna.
--204 years A.S.--Sonic the Hedgehog 2006: Iblis Apocalypse Timeline--After defeating Eggman and Eggman Nega using the power of the Sol Emeralds, Princess Blaze the Cat senses a disturbance in the timeline and uses the Sol Emeralds to access Mobius' future, where she finds a charred and ruined wasteland. She meets her future descendant, Silver the Hedgehog, but neither of them have any idea that their bloodlines are tied to one another. Together, Blaze and Silver struggle against the feral and immortal entity known as Iblis, but don't see an end to the creature's rampage. Just when all hope of truly defeating Iblis seems lost, Silver and Blaze are approached by the manipulative being known as Mephiles the Dark, who has taken the form of Shadow the Hedgehog. Mephiles takes Silver and Blaze to a ruined computer room with more information on the release of Iblis, and tells them that in order to save the world of the future, they must travel to the past and eliminate the one known as the Iblis Trigger. What he, Silver, and Blaze don't realize is that three visitors from the past are overhearing their conversation from outside. Mephiles shows Silver and Blaze the records on the Day of Disaster, and produces one of the seven Chaos Emeralds, which shows Silver a vision of the "Iblis Trigger", a blue hedgehog. Not recognizing his ancestor, Sonic, Silver determines that if he destroys the Iblis Trigger, he can prevent the Day of Disaster from happening. Blaze, hearing that a blue hedgehog was involved, remembers Sonic, but doesn't mention her involvement with him out of concern that Silver might think she is related to the Iblis Trigger. Mephiles offers to take Silver and Blaze back in time to a point before the Day of Disaster, and Silver and Blaze accept his offer. After Blaze, Silver, and Mephiles depart for the past, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles enter the room and examine the data on display, which shows that Elise perished on Eggman's Egg Carrier two days after the Festival of the Sun, and her death released Iblis onto the world.

Tails informs everyone that he discovered one of the Chaos Emeralds in a dangerous fiery cavern, and the two teams race to retrieve it. When Rouge flies up to grab it, a massive incarnation of Iblis sends her flying back, and the teams are forced to fight it off. Sonic and Shadow use the power of Chaos Control between two Emeralds to create a rift back to the past, and Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Rouge jump through. Just as Shadow is about to head through, Mephiles the Dark appears to confront him, and Shadow is forced to let the rift close without him. Mephiles shows Shadow his own self enclosed in a stasis pod, telling him that after the world was destroyed, humanity blamed Shadow for the incident and sealed him away, fearing his power. Mephiles makes Shadow an offer to join him and make the people of Mobius suffer for this injustice, but Shadow refuses. Mephiles transforms into a more crystaline body and is about to finish Shadow off when E-123 Omega arrives out of standby mode and aids Shadow in driving Mephiles off. Mephiles opens a rift to the past and jumps through, with Shadow and Omega in pursuit.

Blaze takes Iblis into herself, her soul already brimming with flames of her own power.
