Do not approach me if you do Permavore, Thank you.
Freedom comes at a price, a bloody revolution, most revolutions end up with the states it fought against having more power, but a different face. The United States of America was a different story. Alexander Hamilton had asked the Former Leader of the Revolution if he was to be king, to that, George Washington replied dryly, that he had not fought King George the Third to become King George the First, and so the Newly Freed Country had developed a Constitution, a Declaration of Independence, and eventually became the Constitutional Republic that was only ever seen in theory, a new system to the world where all were considered to be equal under the law, and that no one was to be above the law.
The brave men who gave up everything they had to free their land from tyranny had won, but there was another victory to be had, developing a governing system for their new country. They threw ideas of Oligarchy and Democracy out when realizing these systems oppressed individuals, and often failed, there was only a single solution, a Republic, having been scholars, the Founders looked back at ancient Rome and Greece, taking ideas from both, creating a system that would allow people to live under a new Government without it becoming too powerful. So they produced a system of laws, as well as a three party system so that each position would prevent the others from having too much power.
The laws were written onto a Document known as "The Constitution of the United States." Each of these laws would apply to all citizens, but they originally were not preventative laws, rather, the original ten were of the rights given to American citizens as of their citizenship.
So how does this bring in Grace? Well, the story is simple, from the ashes and fires of war, when it was known that the American Flag still waved on high above the destruction, an Eagle lit up from the Ashes, and to this day flies Free. This Eagle was of course Grace, her heart beats for the Red, White and Blue. Her existence is simplistic, she has the spirit of America, Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Her ideas align with that of what founded this country, and while the Government may have corrupted in itself, her heart stays true to America, and what makes it great.
Grace may not be overly old, sitting just under Two-Hundred and Fifty years, she is stoic in her beliefs that sometimes you should just leave well enough alone.
