Grande

--Character Overview--

A laid-back Red Oni whose only hobby is traveling. Grande, as he calls himself, isn't typically one to enjoy kidnapping, massive drunken parties, or many things your typically Oni would--this might be attributed to why he's so content to just go places by himself...but making insinuations of this nature could get both him livid and you smashed. Grande is a bit gruff in his speech; he's prone to improper grammar and has some of the most inelegant speech patterns you'll find anywhere--not that he gives a damn about that kind of thing, he won't stop being who he is for anybody. However, he's usually very reasonable and respecting of others until they give him reason not to. You're talking to him in a regular way? You're alright in his book. You're being needlessly hostile? He won't act the same, but he won't be a stranger to mocking you a bit.

Grande is not stupid. Let me say that now; the stereotype of Red Onis being a gullible and softminded bunch is remarkably exaggerated. Grande is no college professor, but he is wizened with age; and if anybody tries to manipulate him due to the assumption of his kind, he'll go along with what they want of him--but only to laugh on the inside at their smugness. However, once he's had enough of that or somebody is really stretching the envelope, he'll drop the ignorant act and show he is quite smart, as well as well-versed in the fine art of beating the daylights out of little punks.

If he has to fight, Grande can freaking throw down. The brute strength of the Red Oni is legendary, but few of them really care to learn to properly use this strength--smash and bash, that's the usual strategy. Grande, however, made sure to learn a few tricks. Aside from being a competent boxer, his best ability lies in his grappling, his wrestling. Piledrivers and suplexes are coming your way in spades, and if you don't like it, he's got a nice right hook to take your nose with. As far as using the club, Grande only ever uses it in an actual fight if he has to. After all, once he starts swinging it around, he is liable to actually kill someone. It has a boomerang effect when thrown, so using his club does increase his range quite a bit.

In matters of the heart, Grande is great for advice, yet godawful in practice. Always concerned with being proper as he can be comfortable with when dealing with ladies he tends to be slightly submissive, more docile. When dealing with guys, Grande is a bit loudspoken and cocky, glad to make new friends but a bit careless in testing the boundaries of what they're comfortable with. He's going to naturally be a bit slow in actually warming up to people as, after years of never finding a mate, wife or whatever as well as routinely striking out in finding guys to hang out with, Grande's faith in his people skills has considerably waned.

In vorish situations, Grande will do both. Being what he is, the large fellow is actually as big as he wants to be, able to be at a scale rounding off usually from 25-35 feet, or as small as at maximum two centimeters high.

Aside from that, he has a big, metal club. For smashing, don't you know? Any other abilities or tricks he might have are either nonexistent, or he keeps them to himself...more likely the former.

--Voreish Information--

This guy HAS had to end up eating folks on multiple occasions, though luckily for them, he isn't too mean-spirited about it. A prime example, easy for him to remember, is when he swallowed a small girl in a beast-infested wood to drive off other predators who would have ripped her to shreds before sending her down, only to cough her up at the nearest human settlement and quickly depart. A more aggressive example was nearly a century back when, fed up with his kind being hunted by idiots wanting to be called "heroes", he beat down and devoured a more famous monster-slayer in front of his peers to get them to back the hell off. Said slayer was callously hurled from his belly into a river at the base of a waterfall so he could clean himself off, and left without even a scornful word.

Nowadays, when eating others, it will fall into a few main territories. As above, it might be to protect someone by keeping them within himself--this shows Grande has some definite care for your well-being; if somebody wants to get to you, they have to go through him. Secondly, as with the story of the hunter, he might just want to scare you. Even though he'd never kill someone inside him, he'll make damn well sure somebody who's pissing him off believes he will. Thirdly, it comes to a cross between teasing and by request. If a good friend wants to be swallowed, he won't question them too much, and he won't be antsy about getting them out. Elsewise, if he's messing with someone, he might grab and suck them down as a playful means of showing superiority. ("Y'know, I got a GOOD way ta' settle this!" *Ulp!*)

Then, there is BEING eaten. Grande's been around the block, he knows there's been more and more ways of taking people in popping up, and he's alright with only a few of them. Oral, it's tried and true. He does it, he understands if someone does it to him. Absorption? Well, hey, he IS a monster, he's seen worse, and anyone tough enough to suck him up has earned it. Unbirth? ...Eh, he doesn't want things getting too sexual, but if some lady really wants something curled up in her womb for a while for her own reasons, he has a hard time saying "no'. Generally, if anyone really wants him inside their body, Grande will begrudgingly oblige. What's more, as a gentlemanly courtesy, he'll shrink himself down to whatever size they're most comfy with him inside at. ("If you're gonna do someone a favor, do it right. If you're not gonna do it the best ya' know how, you're a coward an' a jackass.")

Vore as a sexual thing? Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhno. Sorry, but even though we players are voreaphillic, Grande is not. He does not, nor will he ever get off on swallowing somebody. If he's going to eat someone who IS a vore enthusiast, they'd better both be a girl and not displaying it outright, otherwise he will spit them out and be on his way. Both those apply for being eaten by a vore enthusiast for being predatory. If you're masturbating while trying to swallow him or whatnot, he'll force his way out, grow to a size you can't get down, and be on his way posthaste.

...There is...one more thing. Even for an Oni, red or otherwise, his magical ability is a bit...above average. He claims he got lucky; others claim this is a blatant lie--and those others are correct. There's...a reason why Grande has sworn not to digest living, sentient beings...and it follows with the reason he adopted the moniker "Grande" in favor of his old name, and both of these tie into why he's so good with magic. Why is this? Well...only those kind and strong enough to break through the thick-skinned, stubborn goliath's heart will learn his greatest secret and regret...

--Physical Description--

Age: He is in the ballpark of three centuries old, but physically appears roundabout twenty-six human years of age.
Height: Normally hangs out at 6'3 to 8'9 (Varies, from 2 cm to 35 ft max.)
Skin: White, slightly tanned
Hair: A fiery red, small crop sits atop his head. Usually a bit mussed.
Eyes: A bright gold; devoid of pupils when angry
Attire: Usually just wearing shorts of some kind; primarily shades of brown and blue. No footwear ever, but might wear a muscle shirt or loose tee sometimes, as anything else is uncomfortable on his skin.

Nibbler - A gentle giantess who made connection with the gruff fellow; made Grande more comfortable around giants as a result.
Gardevoir - One by the name of Garde, who quickly grew on the oni fellow. And YES, "Garde and Grande", the names sound very similar. :P
GaleTempest - Grande had the luck of running into Gale rather than her carnivorous other, and after a game of tag, the two engaged in gastrointestinal ULTIMATE FRIENDSHIPS~!
Mernuk - An alien who took a shining to Grande, initially out of curiosity. Apparently, she liked him enough that she granted him a wish, and Grande's wish gave him to key to restoring oni among the world. For this ticket to his race's salvation, Grande is eternally in her debt.

--New Powers--
Certain encounters have caused Grande to develop new abilities because of those he has met. As it stands, here are the ways the park's inhabitants have altered this oni...

Kenji Misoto - Full Form
--Not a new power, so much as a rediscovery of self. When Grande was pressured into recounting the pains of his early life from nearly two hundred years ago, he reached a certain memory of an event that temporarily drove him literally insane. As the pain came back, he momentarily snapped, releasing his more human facade he commonly wears, revealing his true form as a red oni. In this state, he could lay waste to a kingdom in an hour...beware pushing him beyond the point of civility; not that it'll be easy to do.

Nibbler - 150 Feet Tall (New Height!)
--In an act that both were uncomfortable, but curious about, Grande was taken into the giantess's womb. When she pushed him back out, leaving him very injured due to certain circumstances, he accidentally changed into his true form...and grew nonstop, until he reached a whopping 150 feet in height! Grande now can become one of the largest creatures you'll ever find, anywhere!

GaleTempest - Bloodgem
--Not a power for him, so much as one for her. The gem she cherishes was born of his blood, after all. If anybody seeks to harm Gale, she can call, and Grande will come, period. And the moment he gets his hands on the punk who thought they could hurt his Companion, he will show them no mercy...

Mernuk - Physical Godhood
--The alien fox took a shining to Grande and, out of her friendliness and generosity, she granted him a wish to augment his body to allow for a perfect form of shapeshifting. Grande's body can shift between all three states of matter, and reshape itself however he likes; he can be anything in any way he desires. However, his only reason he made the wish was to restore oni to the world. Now that his body is whatever he wishes it to be, he can create new lifeforms from his own mass, specifically his kind.

--Ongoing Roleplays--

"Treasure Hunt" - After a fateful meeting in an ancient library, Grande has begun to travel with Kenji and Raijin Misoto to aid them in uncovering riches of old they've long searched for. As they have grown closer, Kenji managed to pierce partway through Grande's stubborn spirit after peering into his past from his journal--the very first to manage to reach out to him. Now that she has bore witness to the deep-rooted fury held back within the seemingly-jovial oni from nearly two centuries ago, where will this development take them...?

"Companionship" - What's white, fluffy, stands on four legs, talks and has an almost endless amount of love to share? As Grande discovered on an odd day, the answer is Gale, the sizeshifting white wolf. This innocent, kind spirit who took to him almost immediately, and even surprised him further in that she swallows other beings out of a deep-rooted need to show as much affection as she can, combined with her strong will convinced the oni to give her something he can only give to one being, and only one--a "bloodgem" forged from the blood infused with his club, a symbol that he names her his "Companion", something normally given to an animal that chooses to stay beside an oni of their own accord. However, Grande knows nothing of Tempest, the second persona lurking in Gale's mind...but boy-oh-boy, does she know about him... And Gale herself has never seen Grande with his true form unchained. As it stands, both hope the other never bears witness to their inner demon, but all it would take is one bad day, and...

In case you could not tell and for convenience, the player here is in fact of the dude persuasion. So, just in case that little tidbit bothered you in not knowing, there ya go~!

Serious about the grammar thing, guys...I'm sorry, but if you write like a grade-schooler, I'll just be flat-out uncomfortable with doing anything with you.

If you want to do a scene with me, please, PLEASE whisper me, first. Typically, I might be approaching someone else at the same time you approach me, so precautions should be taken and observed.

...However, at the same time, if I read Open or LFRP...I AM looking for an RP, still. Meaning, to you reading this, if I have one of those tags up and you're looking for a scene of similar tastes to those shown on here, please give me a whisper--I'm generally worried about rubbing people the wrong way in privately messaging them (Read: Low self-esteem + minor shyness = this.) so I don't do it too often...

Playing pred/prey ratio? 70% Prey to 30% Pred. "Oh, but he's a big Oni!" Yes, but I recognize that too many players are almost strictly prey-only. I gave Grande his size-changing ability to be able to indulge my preference, but to also do pred when the other player wants to do prey as well. So please, don't go assume that an Oni will mostly be predatory--after all, he only is so that I'm not trying to be some kind of exclusive or elitist player; that'd just be rude to so many people, after all!

Should you then feel apprehensive about approaching if you wanted Grande to swallow up your character? Not at all! While I prefer playing prey, I will absolutely do a predatory scene so you don't have to sit there searching for somebody to interact with; no worries!

If I am in a scene with somebody already, please DO NOT FORCE YOUR WAY IN. Group RPs are nice, but you do not know if it's okay at that point in time, so whisper me FIRST. Alright? Coolio.

--RP Scenarios--

Here's a couple of ideas I'm currently interested in!

"Fantastic Voyage": Grande either shrinks himself down or enters the body of a larger being (Or a being who can alter their insides or some such. Just has to be big, is all!) The reason for wanting Grande in could be medical, experimental or just plain for fun; the Oni is a lover of adventure, so he won't mind at all!

"You Think You're Tough?!": Despite how he tries to behave, Grande is still an Oni, and he still has an image to maintain. If he is challenged by anyone for some reason, regardless of gender or species, he isn't about to back down unless the challenge is something he absolutely CANNOT do. He isn't afraid of high stakes, either, whether it be to be someone's assistant/minion for a time, or getting sucked into somebody's belly...
