The bugboy is a subspecies of fairy that are usually much smaller than their normal counterparts, averaging anywhere from ant size to two inches. Like all fairies they are able to change their size at will, but cannot grow bigger than the average human or shrink smaller then a speck. They also have all manner of other magical abilities as well. As a rule they avoid big uns as best they can, and rarely make contact with them out of fear. Bugboys have wings and can fly, though they wings can be vanished at will.

Gregory is a very special bugboy, as instead of avoiding big uns he actively seeks them out (female ones anyway). Due to his upbringing with a very stern mother he has massive "mommy issues" and simply cannot be happy without being under the care and control of a pretty girl. His mother learned how to grow to the size of a human, thus making herself a goddess in both size and power over him, demanding him worship her even though she took care of him. She treated him like the worthless ant he was to her. He is extremely submissive due to this, but he has a inner fire that makes it impossible to be controlled unless he is forced to. He is also known to be very uppity at times. Any girl that wants to keep control of him must prove their superiority with displays of force and words of belittlement. He loves being nicknamed according to his size, such as "ant" or "speck." The more he is belittled and ordered around the happier he is.
