Grema is a human smuggler that was born on Corellia. His family was very supportive of the Republic, so when the Emperor created the Empire, his family was targeted by the Emperor's assassins. His father destroyed their home rather than let the Empire get it, killing himself and the assassins. His mother himslef, and his sister; Theza, were forced onto the streets, and a few weeks later, his mother was killed by a mugger. Grema never forgave the Empire for what they did to his family, so he became a smuggler and assissted the Rebel Allience in any way he could, his sister becoming a soldier for them.
His most prized possession is a YT-1760 freighter, the
Altiria, that once belonged to his father. After it came into his possession, he modified it to be a smugglers ship with many hidden compartments. Before he became a full time smuggler, he was a freighter and used an aging G9 Rigger freighter to get the money he'd need.

Once when Grema made a run for Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine, he found an R4 agromech series droid in the hands of some jawas. Feeling he could use something like R4, he decided to by him and they soon became fast friends. Now R4 helps keep the
Altiria in good shape in case he ever needs to make a run from Imperials.
