Fay grew up like any other fairy, in a village in the forest away from people. The difference between her kind and other fairies is that Fay and her people are all the same size as humans. Her people have the ability to change to the size of a normal fairy if they want. This always proofed useful when avoiding predators as it made her people harder to catch.

Fay was always different than most of the people in her village. She was facinated by the outside world, a view only supported by a few in her village. She would often venture away from the village days at a time. Though she never shurked her duties of looking after the forest. Even though she tended to the forest, leaving for days at a time always got Fay in trouble.

About seventy years ago Fay decided to leave the village permantely. The village elder told her that she could not return if she left. Fay was just a teenager then by fairy standards but she did not care. She left before learning any of her fairy powers, except for the one to change size at will. Fay explored many human cities over those seventy years. Though she always made sure to return to the forest so she would maintain a link to it.


Over those seventy years Fay developed a few more powers, she could control plants and also make them grow really fast. Standard fairy stuff but it seemed to help stop several hungry predators. Fay has had a run in with many hungry predators. Though thanks to her bond with forest, if a predator does end up having her for a meal she will wake up in the forest a few days later.

Part of the reason Fay was so interested in the outside world is because she has a natural curiosity. Though she is a bit of a shy person as most fairies are. When exploring a city Fay either shrinks down to so small that she appears as a ball of light when flying around or she makes her wings and antennas invisible so she can blend in with humans. She does her best to cover her ears with her hair. Fay is generally a happy and curious person but because of her shy nature she will usually run away from strangers. If she is not found exploring some city she is found hanging out in a forest with all the plants and animals.
