The two girls history started very early, as the two girls met in a small orphanage. At first, Hibiki was a very lonely girl with no friends until one day Mizu joined the orphanage. Mizu was friendly with everyone, but since Hibiki was the only Au Ra, the Miqo'te noticed that she was being bullied around the orphanage, explaining why she was so lonely. One day however, as a couple men attempted to bully the silent girl, Mizu stepped in and yelled at them, urging them to stop. It was the very first time that someone protected Hibiki, so the girl was amazed by the courage of that girl she barely knew, but when one of the boy slapped Mizu, the Au Ra snapped and jumped into a fight. Turns out, Hibiki ended up beating the boys down and after they ran away except for the bully leader that she managed to pin down and swiftly swallow. At this sight, Mizu approached, and even if Hibiki was pretty sure she would be scared... she instead seemed quite interested and massaged the Au Ra's belly to help her digest their bully. Since then, the two became friends and over the years that friendship turned into something a lot more romantic.
As they were teens, Mizu's body started revealing some extra bits compared to her friend, wich Hibiki didn't minded a bit. After all, the catgirl was still the same to her, no matter what was between her legs. On her side, Hibiki started hitting the gym quite often, being the strongest of the two while Mizu was more agile. The two started preparing their bodies for their next goal in life: Travel the world together. Another thing that the two developped, was their ability to devour others. Mizu even devoured a man that had attempted to flirt with Hibiki without the Au Ra never learning what became of that poor guy for years until the Miqo'te finally excused herself, confessing having been jealous of the man and scared to lose her friend... and as strange as this might sound, this incident seemed to have pleased Hibiki a lot.
Upon becoming young adults, the girls confessed to eachother, officially becoming a couple. After that, they decided to finally give form to their dream, and the two started travelling around the world, eager to see what would await them.
