In the peace and quiet of the wilderness, where few beings are often seen, the sound of leaves crunching and twigs snapping is heard. Among the vast greenery of the forest, it's uncommon for anything green to really stand out. Yet, the practically artificial, lollipop green color of her reflective helmet is so easily distinguishable. With a trusty GoPro attached to the helmet, almost, in effect, looking as though a turtle were sitting on her head, Hope Johanssen trudges through the woods, nothing on her mind other than finding whatever it is she's looking for in hopes of snapping a good pic for all to see.

Description

Hope is a 20 year old girl with straight, chest length, honey-brown hair. She is 5'4" with long legs and a very slim, athletic build. She has light skin and an oval-shaped face with caramel eyes. She wears little make up, usually only doing so when she has a desire to slightly enhance her already highly attractive facial features. She usually dresses in comfortable clothes; when hiking or seeking adventure, her standard outfit includes a snug, denim button-up as a top layer, a long-sleeved plaid shirt under that, a pair of blue jeans matching her denim shirt, brown boots, and her green helmet, often with a GoPro camera attached. She also is often equipped with a light blue, North Face backpack that carries various supplies.

Biography

Hope was the only child her parents ever had. At least, she was the first child, and there wasn't much of a chance for them to have another when her father left the small family, never to return. With only her mother and a handful of relatives living near her small hometown in White River Junction, VT, family life in Hope's world was sort of on the quiet side. However, she always found ways to entertain herself, spending a lot of time outdoors playing with friends and enjoying the natural world around her. As she grew older, her love for the outdoors flourished, and she began to take hikes as regularly as possible.

Regarding friends, in spite of (or, perhaps, as a result of) the conditions back at home, Hope was able to construct a good social life for herself. She was friendly and often forward with others and, as a result, was able to make a fairly wide range of friendships in school. She did especially well in high school, where she took charge of the newspaper club. It was here, as well as in various clubs and high school classes she took, that she found her passion in journalism and took an interest in photography, sketching, and social justice matters. Ultimately, she'd focus on these subjects as she graduated and moved on to college.

After high school, Hope enrolled in the University of Dutchess County, where she became a journalism major. Her interest in photography kept her outdoors, where she'd embark on hikes and urban exploration with her friends. Her interests soon started to motivate her to look at the world around her differently. It wasn't long before she started looking further into issues such as civil rights, and soon enough, helping people became a major ambition of hers. Unfortunately, her most extreme opportunity did not go the way she'd hoped for. In an anthropology class she had been taking, she started to notice that several of her classmates had gradually disappeared following the entrance of a fill-in professor. Believing the man to be guilty, with the help of two friends, she ventured into the woods where she had been told his house was, her goal being to prove his responsibility for the missing students and, in effect, save many of her classmates from untimely peril. What Hope didn't know was that her professor was an alien creature posing as a fallen angel, and he had a strange, dark appetite for young humans, something that she and her friends learned the hard way. Following a gruesome, hands-on lecture about digestion, Hope became the first of her classmates to be reformed after being eaten by the supernatural creature. She would ultimately take the blame for the deaths of her two friends and go about her days in shock over what had happened. She struggles to feel anything physical and, in some ways, is more undead than revived. She'd have two weeks of feeling this way and pretending things were normal before everything changed once again.

In the same anthropology class that was terrorized by Carlisle, Hope met and developed a serious crush on transfer student and fellow classmate Logan_Wolfric. However, it wasn't until she invited him to hike with her that she learned he was after their professor as well, and being a member of his superhuman society's military force made him far more equipped for the job. Her involvemdnt with Carlisle and her inability to keep quiet, as seen upon approaching him about it, deemed her untrustworthy im his society's eyes, and he was ordered to terminate her. As part of an advanced society who deemed themselves as superior to normal humans and came to embrace cannibalism, it was completely natural for Logan to choose to eat Hope as he would any other human. The only problem: Logan had feelings for Hope too.
