House_Of_Asano

Behold, the grand House of Asano! A mansion existing in a demi-plane slightly above that of the mortal plane. What you ask do I mean by that? Well, the mortal plane is the universe within which everything you know exists! A demi-plane that sits just above that? That's a point in existence seperated from what you know, though able to interact and connect with it in various ways. Think of it like an alternate dimension of sorts.

This particular Demi-plane was created by the ancient entity known as Tsumi Asano, a vampiric, godlike being who's origins lie outside mortal understanding. Usually, anyway. She made this world simply for a quiet place to reside while contemplating what she should be doing, though it eventually turned to her permanent residence. To this day, none can enter this world without her allowing it and those who have tried have met an untimely fate at the hands of her minions.

Yes, the Lady of the mansion has in fact got hundreads of thousands of minions roaming the vast exspanse of land she made to sit her home upon. All of them are a form of undead or another. Where they come from is yet to be discovered as she doesn't tend to visit anywhere that would allow for the amassing of such a large hoard. She calls them her guard dogs. Why? Why not? They are there simply to guard the mansion from those who try to enter without her permission. Or from those who try to leave without it, too.
The types of undead are mostly just zombies and skeletons, though a few more advanced undead do exist among the ranks as well. Though, there are scritcly no vampires among them, due to the Lady of the house disliking them.

So, you might be thinking that this isn't the sort of place you'd like to visit for a holiday, right? Well, you'd be correct in thinking that. The only reasons you should want to be there, are to either try and destroy Lady Asano, or to try and appease her. Otherwise, to be there you were likely taken against your will by her or one of her servants.

Do not mistake minons for servants, though. Minions are specifically the undead that roam around outside the building, guarding it against intruders or escapees. Servants are those whose woul is bound to Tsumi due to certain events that led them to her care. Usually, their bodies became her next meal, then were reformed poorly and thus became stuck to her. Tsumi enjoys their company, though not all enjoy hers. One even has taken to looking to destroy their vampiric mistress. Servants are not turned into vampires, though. They usually remain in the form they originally took, though with slight changes to personality being common due to the poor form in which they were forced back to life. Most are still human.

There are some cases of people willingly giving themselves to Tsumi Asano as servants in order to try and gain her favour for their people, though these cases are few and far between and usually don't end any differently than those who are to become her food. Thus, the servants are all linked to her by their very souls, while the minions are simply raised undead. Mistaking these facts in the prescence of a servant tends to draw their ire.

The world itself isn't all that big. While the Earth over 12,000 Kilometers in diameter, while also being a near perfect sphere, the demi-plane is falt and squared. Being only 1,000 kilometers sqaure(1,000kmĀ²), it is fairly small by comparison. Yet, why all this land for a simple mansion? When you look at it from a distance, the mist surrounding it may distort what you see to appear like a normal building, though when up close, you'll see that, 70% of the land comprising the demi-plane is taken up by this building alone. Far further than the eye can see in any direction, except for up. The mansion is only 3 floors high, so you could easily see the top of it. The reason for this? The servants. Tsumi had a lot of them even before she made this world, so she made the home for them bigger than it should ever need to be, in order to house those she had and those she would gain in the future. The rest of the grounds are where her undead army waits, usually hidden beneath the ground waiting to burst out to attack any who are deemed unwelcome in their presence.

This brings us tot he last little details. First, we'll cover the mists that usually cover the entire grounds. This is a think, vision obsuring, magically created barrier that covers everything outside the mansion, and is thicker the further away from it you go. It is entirely possibly for it to become like a maze inside, too. Even if you only go in a straight line, you may end up wandering forever, despite the limited size of the world. You may even wander off the edge and not even know it. It's only if you know the path, or are invited into the world, that you are capable of finding your way through it. There isn't anything in the entire multiverse that can remove it, either. Not even a god. This mist serves as a connecter between the demi-plane and the mortal plane below as well. Those who wish to enter, must do so through the mist. Any mist anywhere will do if you know the right spell to connect it, otherwise you have to wait for Tsumi to want it to spread over your region. Simply walking into it will cause you to eventually become som completely smothered by it, that you never even realise you've passed through into another world. It is also the only possible way out of the demi-plane, too. No magics or technology can help you once inside, at least not in leaving, anyway.

Then, we have the inside of the mansion. Something no one has ever managed to map, save for tsumi herslf when she designed it. The reason? Size? Number of rooms? Hostile residents? Nope! It's because the inside of the mansion is constantly shifting around. Only an open door can fix a room in place, though even then, that is only to the hallway currently connected to that door as the halls themselves move too. Everything except the entryway and directly connect rooms move about constantly. Those seem to remain in place forever. Which, makes one wonder why you can't see this happening through the windows, or why a room doesn't suddenly have windows when it didn't a second ago. Well, the windows themselves are the reason. They connect specifically to the rooms they showed when the mansion was built and thus no other room may ever have them inside. The windows stay in place, yet you could be in the middle of the building, with no outer walls near you and you could find a window to the outside right in front of you. Stick your head out? You're suddenly outside. Magic is the reason most assume, but this maze-like structure's true nature is know only to one being and she created it. She is also the only one unable to become lost inside it.
