Hyva is a part of the same species as Majin Buu, which makes her a magical demon person with incredible Ki and an extremely malleable body. However, unlike the common Majin, she also has the unique ability of turning her whole body into water, which is used for tactics such as letting attacks phase through her, sneaking past enemies, and go through narrow pathways.

Like any Majin, she has access to the Transfiguration Beam, a Ki beam that allows her to transform its targets into objects - usually into sweets so they can be eaten and have their power absorbed. But Hyva is also capable of absorbing water from external sources and add it to her body mass - it's why she was able to gain such a tall body. Theoretically, if you throw her inside of an ocean, she can become as big as she wants!

Backstory

Majin Buu is a name that used to strike fear on those with deep knowledge of Universe 7's history - a feral demonic entity that cycled between long periods of relentless destructive rampages and hibernation. However, in Age 774, a certain series of events led to Buu turning into a good guy living on Earth, more commonly referred to as Mr. Buu. It is thanks to him that the Majin became a proper subspecies of demon, utilizing pieces of his own body to create more Majins. Hyva is simply one of those many beings, though her upbringing was a bit different than usual.

She was already decently powerful on her own, but ever since she was young, Hyva was fascinated by the occult and its magics that offered countless possibilities - so much so that she often read every book she could find on the subject and sought to acquire such power for herself. That's when she appeared: Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time. She offered Buu - and most members of his family by extension - a home in Toki Toki City, a special city located at the edge of the Universe that is also where many different timelines intersect. He happily accepted the offer.

Eventually, Hyva would join the newly-founded Time Patrol, a faction led by Chronoa with the purpose of travelling to different timelines and fight back against the Dark Empire, an army from the Demon Realm. Although the sorceress did perform her assigned duties, she also had an ulterior motive for joining the patrol - namely, she secretly used her Transfiguration Beam on some defeated enemies and a select few individuals in order to absorb chunks of their power and abilities, finally allowing her to start assimilating the kind of magic that she longed for. She quickly rose up the ranks as a result of her incredible growth, becoming an elite patroller and gaining a good source of income for her troubles.

Nowadays, Hyva has gained an interest for the demonic Ki used by the Dark Empire to artificially multiply warriors' power in their attempt to change history - it was powerful and seemed quite useful despite her dislike of the empire's actions. The sheer amount of occult knowledge she could learn motivated her to go on more patrols, absorbing the demonic Ki from afflicted enemies and assimilating it into her own Ki in order to multiply her potential, becoming even more powerful in the process. However, she longed to find someone from the Demon Realm itself - someone who possessed fountains of demonic Ki ripe for the taking. Her new target? The current leader of the Time Breakers and younger sister of Demon King Dabura, Towa.
