A unusual apparition, roughly a foot across, surrounded by a halo of eldritch flames. Some would call him cursed, but truth be told he finds his current state a lot more fun than living ever was.

In short, he's a ghost. A spirit. A poltergeist. Call him what you will. Tales abound of people going missing, only to show up later seemingly drained of their very life force, of furniture throwing itself across rooms, and all manner of unsavoury things. Being dead already, he's virtually impossible to kill, but a savvy opponent could stall him well enough, even drive him away, if they play their cards right.

Of course, he has a number of supernatural talents at his disposal, such as the ability to levitate inanimate objects, cause sudden chills, make walls bleed and so forth - even possession is not beyond him, though it's a talent he rarely employs.
More useful is his ability to shift in and out of the mortal plane at will, though this doesn't always work, particularly if he's close to or surrounded by living things.

His most fearsome power, however, is the ability to create a portal to a pocket realm within himself, effectively allowing him to open his mouth and ensnare anything slow enough for him to catch. Once inside, there's no telling what fate the ghost may have in store for his victims. Of course, he's not entirely at the top of the food chain - if one were to catch hold of him, being in contact with the living would eliminate his greatest defence - and being inside a living creature is even more of a barrier...
