Ingibjorg

An fledd the cripled warior to the impregnabl fortres Ingibjorg/
To seke sucor frome the guardian.

His foes lukke hi an lowe they didde/
No sine they fown for surly hidde/
That fortres were the warior hidde/
Such sacred Ingibjorg.

Won yere it past an they rejoice/
To not here hise so riteus voice/
His foes togethere makke choice/
To thinke that he were ded.

But then returne he standing talle/
Broke downe their vile, rode-spanning walle/
With justis faire whom didde he calle/
'Lady of Ingibjorg'.

With battle dunne she to him saye/
To duty she returns, awaye/
To fortress, must she notte delaye/
An kisse him onne the hed.

The warior bidde her safe travails/
In midste of kindle, fondle hails/
The winde in her longbotte's sails/
To were her fortresse be.

First once she holde him to her breste/
As mother clutch son to her cheste/
So wished she for him the beste/
His future for to see."

The world is a stranger place than many wish to believe. Legends, perhaps, are not so imaginary as one might think- and not so imaginary as some would wish.

Some of these legends persist.

Ingrid is, at a glance, what many would expect to see of a stereotyped blonde- fairly generous curves, long straight hair, bright blue eyes, and a smiling face. In fact, most take more than a few glances without ever seeing more than this- and many of those who do get to know her see no further either, really. She is fit, tall (just over six and a half feet!), pleasantly cheerful, and while perfectly willing to talk, she doesn't really seem to have a whole lot to actually say. Many would pass her off as just a 'dumb blonde', or (slightly more favorably) 'airhead'. And while she'll freely admit that she is a bit of a 'space case', that doesn't actually mean she's stupid or frivolous by nature.... of course, it doesn't mean she's not, either. Well, anyone seeking to know would have to find out for themself, really.

What can be told by seeing her is this:

She is extraordinarily tall and rather soft of appearance, blessed with a generous bust and pair of hips that serve to make her waist seem waspish (though it is more or less average out-of-contrast). Her hair is a bright blonde that is just a touch too yellow to be called 'platinum', and she usually wears it in a plait ponytail that manages to reach the aforementioned waist. Bright blue eyes are set in a strong Nordic face, with almost too heavy a jaw for most people but a fine narrow nose and high cheekbones. Her skin is pale, as expected of Skandinavian blondes. Her clothing is often counter to type- in modern settings, she prefers full dresses and soft boots to the often-panted-over miniskirts and heels some would anticipate; in medieval settings she is more likely to be found in a simple, sturdy linen dress than the fanciful silks or Viking-presumed armor that most would place with her appearance; and in cosmic encounters she will usually be wearing a heavily 'retro' look calling back to the medieval days, with elegant bell-skirt dresses rather than the spandex typecast into such settings. Occasionally there may be hints of rumors about a woman fitting her description in heavy armor, wielding whatever heavy, two-handed weapon is fit to the era and locale, but never more than this.

One thing is certain: where heroes and dangers lurk, she may be found nearby.
