Background:

The orphaned daughter of a once noble draenei family, Iridi's parents fell to the orcish Horde's destructive attack upon Shattrah City. Her life was only spared due to her age, instead taken as a spoil of war at the fragile age of twelve. For several long years, she was forced into heavy labor, beatings, and horrible conditions, until the orcs moved on to ransack and destroy other lands, leaving her in a small camp with the old, the children, and those who chose to stay. As she grew and bloomed, though, the eyes of her slavers found themselves onto her ever more often, and it was not too long before she found herself faced with a different sort of torture...

... which is where the worst began. Upon discovering her "special" nature, she was made the mockery of the outpost. Forced into uncomfortable attires and driven out into the nights, she was to provide entertainment for her captors in the worst of ways. Her will was not broken, though... not exactly. For so long she'd lived in such a way, that she almost felt it natural. Yet the yearning for freedom never left her heart, the memory of her once glorious home filling her dreams each night... well, whatever part of it she was allowed to sleep of.

It was not until two years later that her people raided the encampment she was kept in, once more having risen to power and retaking their homeland, freeing the prisoners, and re-establishing their presence. Iridi was among the first to rise up and assist the liberators, much to their surprise and... partial discomfort. Seeing a girl clad in nothing but sleepwear fight off green-skinned brutes was not quite what one expects to see, after all. Regardless, the orcs were quickly slain, and the young draenei girl free once more.

However, she was lost. She was strong, mentally and physically, yet she knew no craft, and had no true education. Her kin was helping her learn, but it was a slow process. Once the city of Shattrah was retaken, and re-established as their capital, she immediately set off for her former home, actively helping rebuild it. Soon after, she joined the order of the Aldor, where she began her training as a paladin, sworn to protect any and all from sharing her fate.


OOC: This character is a... new kind for the player, in more than one way. I will do my best to play her right, but its possible I may misstep.

Iridi is "special" down between the legs. She has both male and female bits, which has honestly caused her more issues than benefits so far. I figure this ought to be explained.

I am whisper-friendly, though I am often distracted by other things, so please forgive me if I don't reply to a whisper immediately or at all. I'm not ignoring you, I'm just busy with something else.
