Magic, a rush of energy that exists in each and every one of us. It can allow us to perform breathtaking feats, bend nature to our will, and defy even the laws of physics themselves. It was once a well known art, practiced at colleges and used for a variety of purposes. Of course, as time moved forward, the knowledge of magic began to fade with time until it was nothing more than a distant memory. The magic still runs through the veins of humanity however, a fact proven by Isaac Morrin in his attempt to recreate the spells of old. Of course, toying with forces beyond one’s control is a dangerous endeavor to be sure…

With only a few ancient tomes to work with, Isaac began his research, practicing day after day in an attempt to draw out the magic he was sure still remained within him. And on a cold Winter night, he managed it. It was only a flash of light from his fingertips, but was was enough for him to know that he was on the right track. Months ticked by, and after a dozens of singed outfits, he managed to make a breakthrough after he decided to fashion himself a wand. From there his research took off, Isaac soon discovering how to create billowing flames, how to freeze water solid, and even how to alter the air around him to create gusts of wind.

Of course, this wasn’t enough for Isaac. He wanted to keep pushing his capabilities, and he felt he had a good understanding of magic itself and how it worked. So, with that thought in mind, he moved onto the more advanced spells… a mistake he’d soon regret. He had attempted to develop and cast a spell to amplify his strength, but instead, all it did was reduce his strength… by reducing him to a mere three inches. And without any idea of how the spell even went wrong, he lacked the ability to correct his mistake.

Trapped inside his study with no way of escape, Isaac spent quite a while searching for some sort of solution to his problem. But as time crept by, so too did his hope of learning how to reverse the spell. And with every passing minute, the mage grew hungrier and hungrier. After all, he was locked in his study, and he didn't exactly keep food laying around. And so, Isaac was left with only one choice if he wanted to escape and find both food and other research materials to correct his mistake. He had to try a teleportation spell he had been developing to leave his home. It was dangerous, but if he stayed in his study, he'd surely starve to death. And so, with that in mind, he cast the spell. A green light enveloped him, and with a flash, he was gone.

When he next awoke, Isaac was met with a clear blue sky far above his head and a faint breeze that ruffled his hair. He had found himself in a park of some sort, surrounded by grass and trees. He'd later come to learn that he had not just teleported out of his home, but out of his very dimension, landing in a place known as The Nexus. A place where a tiny magician is far from the strangest thing around. Without any friends to turn to, Isaac was forced to start anew, struggling to survive in the harsh new environment while doing his best to reverse the spell that shrunk him.

Personality: Isaac is an intelligent individual to be sure, and could also be seen as a bit antisocial. Of course, this is only because he becomes a bit of a shut in when he thinks he’s nearing a breakthrough. His curiosity knows no bounds, and he has a habit of overestimating his abilities, not fully thinking things through and ending up in rather dangerous situations. Despite all his flaws though, he remains a kind, honest person.
