Background
Itzaal knows little of her life before visiting Seliorus, "The Hollow Domain" in pursuit of a fabled magic. Seliorus is a vast marsh left unmapped, for those who enter often don't come out. The water of this marsh is tainted, corrupted, whatever word you wish to use. Nevertheless, touching it yields two results. One result is inducing a sickness that slowly turns organic tissue to stone, while the other result is much, much more rare. This second result is what brings species such as the Yr'ihr, which is what Itzaal is. Well, what exactly is a Yr'ihr? The Yr'ihr are one of the few "species" that exist in Seliorus. They are what happens in the rare occurrence that an elf touches the water, but is not turned to stone. (Other races that survive touching the tainted water become seperate "species")
The Yr'ihr have an uncanny ability in inducing dread in their victims, mainly from the fact that unless the prey is proven to be too much of a hassle, they are practically inescapable. This is because the Yr'ihr aren't exactly a single force to reckon with. Rather, every cell in the transformed elf's body was made into an individual. This mass of cells works as a hive mind, assembling themselves in distinct patterns, clustering together to form solids, spreading apart to fade into mist, etc.. Itzaal, deeming their current mass to be too small created a half-elf, half-monster form that they deemed fit for hunting. With little extra mass to work with Itzaal began hunting, first using claws and horns, and slowly using what they could salvage of their prey to form into new cells. This created an endless cycle of eating and growing, with Itzaal eventually becoming the mass that she is today. As of now, Itzaal often retains that original body; letting the excess cells float around her general area without even being felt, let alone seen. If one is being hunted by Itzaal, they have limited time to react before they find themselves completely helpless, at the mercy of the Yr'ihr. Many fight, be it throwing fists, swinging weapons, or other fruitless attempts to defend themselves. The only way few have survived such encounters is quick thinking, and perhaps a bit of luck. If one can talk themselves out, or has means of damaging Itzaal's cells en masse, then there is a slight chance that they can leave with their lives. Albeit, very few can truthfully say that they were able to escape an encounter with the sadistic Yr'ihr.
Feeding Habits
Disclaimer! I know that this cross between hard and soft vore will not be for everyone, so I will never use it in a scene without asking first! Soft vore is always an option! Disclaimer!
The Yr'ihr have an odd way of hunting down and eating their prey when compared to other predators. Itzaal tends to find ways to stick close to potential prey, analyzing their every move for days at a time. While her methods of determining whether one will be prey or not are unknown, one thing is known. When Itzaal finds a prey that she would be more than happy to devour, she first marks them with a nigh-undetectable mass of her cells. Said mass, over the course of minutes, hours, days, or even so far as a week (not real time for non-story rps) the mass intrudes into the unknowing prey's body. However, this energy can not be felt, nor does it offer any actual energy. Rather, it slowly "ripens" the prey's body, effectively making them tastier. This mass, however, must stay relatively close to the Yr'ihr, effectively linking them to the body of the Yr'ihr that planted the mass; the Yr'ihr using their own energy to prepare the prey for the next step in consumption.
Once the randomly allotted time has passed, the prey is finally devoured, but not in the usual way. All that energy from the rune allows the Yr'ihr to feed to the maximum potential using their portal-esque mouths, gaining as many new cells as possible. The Yr'ihr would then devour the prey in bites; with their energy-infused teeth able to slide through the prey like a hot knife through butter, leaving a dark void behind. Luckily for the prey, there is no blood, and no pain in this process. Oddly, even though the prey is ingested in chunks, they awake in a stomach in a separate plane of existence completely intact; reformed back to what they were prior to ingestion. Of course that doesn't last long, however, as digestion grows imminent for any unfortunate enough to find themselves in the stomach of a Yr'ihr. Although, the prior mentioned rune marking process is delicate, and if the prey dies before being eaten, all cells within the infected body perish as well. This means that until the prey is "ripe" and ready to eat they must be protected, as gaining new cells is the main goal for a Yr'ihr. Even if they can not be killed, that doesn't mean that the prey can't be subject to pain and cruelty, however, as Itzaal loves to "toy" with her prey, seeing them as lesser beings that are nothing but future additions to her mass.
