Oh wait i can't tell you that. Prob a cognitive hazard for you foolish mortal. I believe you call us gazers? Beholders? Both are wrong.
Mhm. This is a bit hard to explain without frying your brain. I am not keen on what on the things you label as 'eldritch'.
The only thing i read about it is a book about myself. What? i was curious what you fools have written about me.
Perhaps if it put it this like. Long ago i gazed upon the land from my plane of existence.
Though i cannot interact physically with the world much. That would get even me in trouble.
I did have had some exchanges with certain adventures giving them a fraction of my power.They are called Hexblades right?
In order to better interact i ordered some to collect a body for me. I embued this body with power and linked it to myself.
This angered my fellow uhhm.. gazers. They did not approve of this loophole i got arrested for this.
In order that others wouldn't exploit the same loophole i got assassinated. Assumingly they blame my death on the link i have made.
Ironically the opposite is true. Thanks to this link i was able to take full control over the body i had embued.
And over time the body started to resemble my appearance. And that is it. As for now..
i just work at a jewelry store and live in an appartment. Mortal life is pretty dull
