Jacklyn Voorhees was born in the small town of Crystal Lake on June 13, 19XX to Elias and Pamela Voorshees. Jacklyn was afflicted with mental disabilities that could not be well treated in her day and age. Raising Jacklyn on his own, Elias kept his daughter isolated from the community, not letting her attend school and educating her at their home on the outskirts of Crystal Lake. This would eventually lead Jacklyn to respect her father. She would follow through on all of his commands, and that’s one of the reasons why her father’s ghost gives her commands. She would be on sher own without him. So Jacklyn’s home life can be defined as learning, and listening.
In the summer of 19XX, Elias, unable to get a babysitter for Jacklyn, resorted to bringing her to Camp Crystal Lake where he worked as a cook.
Jacklyn had actually been with her dad most of the time instead of other kids, leading to them thinking she wasn’t very smart, so they started bullying her. While being bullied by the other campers, Jacklyn attempted to escape from her tormentors, but the cruel children caught up to her on the dock and threw Jacklyn into the lake where she drowned. The counselors were supposed to be watching the children, but instead were talking and having sex in the woods.
Though Jacklyn's body was never found, the camp was closed as a result, but reopened the next summer. It was closed again when Elias, mad with grief, murdered Barry and Claudette, the counselors he blamed for Jacklyn's drowning. Elias was arrested and sentenced for the murders and all subsequent attempts to open the camp ended in failure, presumably due to last minute sabotage on Elias' part, resulting in the camp being nicknamed "Camp Blood" by the locals, who came to believe the area was cursed.
After drowning though, Jacklyn was somehow revived. Constructing and living in a crude shelter in the forest, Jacklyn waited for her father to find her and managed to live in the woods surrounding Camp Crystal Lake for over XX years. she lived off the land and whatever she could pilfer from the camp or other parts of civilization. Mental issues left untreated turned to violent psychosis and Jacklyn became the terror of Crystal Lake, not suffering the presence of any person around the lake but it was the lean years that truly warped her sanity. That was when she discovered there wasn't much that separated a person from a deer when it really came down to it, not to mention it gave her a much more convenient method of hiding the signs of her predation...inside of her gut!
