A Final Fantasy XIV OC, so I'm mainly looking for roleplays themed around the game's world. I prefer roleplaying on the chat but I'm not opposed to the idea of doing it ingame someday.
This character is active on the Primal Datacentre, Hyperion World.

A poet, wanderer and adventurer, Jasperine came to Eorzea from the faraway island nation of Sharlayan. Born at a time when her homeland was undergoing radical changes and swiftly evacuating its Eorzean colonies, young Jasper bucked the trends of her peers and elders. She took up the quill not for the sake of recording and preserving knowledge, as was custom in Sharlayan, but instead she wrote with the goal of creating new knowledge and artistic prose.

At the age of 20 she graduated from the esteemed Studium, falling in with several other like-minded students who had grown dissatisfied with Sharlayan’s dogmatic policies and cultural blandness, soon seeking out new horizons and experiences on the Eorzean mainland. Jasper broke off from the rest of them shortly after arriving in Limsa Lominsa however, rolling her eyes at how many of her comrades viewed their time among Eorzea’s city states as mere tourism. Instead, she took up work as a freelance adventurer, wanting to experience life far away from the ivory towers she was raised in.

Even more unusually, she eschewed the path many other such rebellious academics had trodden. Whereas they had often become travelling botanists, archaeologists or similar professions that promised a breath of fresh air and a smidgeon of excitement, Jasper wanted to throw herself right into the heat of battle. The young Elezen has now sought to make us of the skills she had learned at the Studium in order to harm and to heal, in doing so finding inspiration and meaning for her writing. As of the current moment, she works out of the city state of Limsa Lomina, but her travels frequently take her all across Eorzea, and sometimes even beyond its borders.

As a Scholar, her expertise lies in uncovering hidden knowledge and finding ways to utilise it. This generally covers traditional arcane spellcraft and Nymian battle arts, but Jasper is also quite a competent researcher and investigator if the situation calls for it. She is supernaturally capable of picking out details and secrets from her surroundings. In battle, she mainly takes the role of a Healer or a Strategic Support, lending aid with her spellbook. Yet as a wanderer, she can't always count on having friends to back her up. Her bookish and somewhat detached attitude doesn't win her many favours in finding comrades either. As such, she has learned a fair few tricks in order to stand on her own.

Her time in Limsa Lominsa has taught her how to wield a knife and a hand-axe (though she struggles with the weight of the latter) for close quarters combat. She can also call upon a Fairy to aid in her healing magic, or summon a Carbuncle to assist with offensive spells. Beyond that, she also knows basic survival skills such as maintaining her equipment and cooking her own food out in the wild. Jasper's weaknesses lie in her lack of physical strength, meaning she is not well suited towards physically restraining someone, wearing heavy armor, or using her hand-axe for anything tougher than cutting wood. Her magic is also fairly focused on bolstering or hampering a single target's Aether, mainly through limited control over the elements of Earth and Wind. She would struggle severely if she were to try her hand at Thaumaturgy or Summoning, which requires more actively using the Aether of the environment around oneself.
