Backstory

An unbalanced soul may never find true rest.

Those are the words spoken to Jatala in her mortal life that haunt her into her second life. As a living mortal, she had lived a terrible life preying on others to sate her hungers for food, wealth, and love, a bandit that spent her days on the run from a just pharaoh's unending rage at the crimes she perpetrated against his people. There was no level to which she wouldn't sink and as her luck began to run out she turned to dark forces as a way to preserve her much valued 'freedom' from the constraints of society but even these methods could not sustain her forever. One does not anger a god and escape unscathed and so Jatala was eventually captured and put to death as she was sinking to a new low, murdering a village of people to use their bodies and souls to forge a permanent anchor to the realm of mortals. Luckily the ritual was disrupted before it could be completed and thus Jatala discovered the foolishness of how she had lived her life, for there were none to leave offerings of food or wine for her spiritual essence, no one who wanted to ensure that she survived through the night to leave her body in the morning.

Nor was it an option to have her heart weighed against the feather of Maat, even her arrogance could delude her into thinking that she would escape the slavering jaws of Ammit and a very final, second death that would spell the end of her existence. With no choice of existing in the house of the living, Jatala was forced to live in Duat among the supernatural trials and tribulations that souls must survive to successfully pass on and it was here that she became...changed. It was true that none were willing or able to put out offerings to allow her to live among them, but that was not the only source of sustenance that she could use to sustain her life...The souls of the other fallen provided more than ample food but the act of devouring them change the facets of her soul, mutating it to better suit the desperate life that she had adopted. Jatala became as brutal as the crocodiles she lived like..adopted the traits of the ruthless beasts but none of the nobility associated with Sobek and his kin...in short, she became another of the dangers of Duat for others to survive until once again she could not escape justice.

The Assessors of Maat, filled with wrath at her actions, forced Jatala to come before them and confess the sins that she had committed, to repent for them before finally weighing her heart against the feather. She panicked and struggled but for all the changes she had gone through, she was not strong enough to escape from them until finally her heart was weighed...and the incomplete ritual she had begun so many years ago as a legendary bandit pulled her from the jaws of Ammit before she could be devoured. Here is where her story as a horror of Duat ended as, technically, she had survived the weighing of her heart and thus her unbalanced soul was mended and ascended into a form ready to reach the afterlife...but as she had not been properly judged there was no afterlife available for her...but there was a mortal life and body for her to inhabit. Her mended, unbalanced, and mutated soul found solace within her remains..rejuvenated them...and the Beast of Duat awoke...alive and 'whole'...full of unending hunger and high off the knowledge that the afterlife holds no mysteries to her any longer.

Personality

Jatala is a simple beast. If it fills her belly, makes her feel good, or improves her coffers in some way than she enjoys it. If it doesn't or, worse, takes those satisfactions from her than she hates it. A consummate hedonist, Jatala is an innately selfish being that seeks to maximize how much pleasure is having at any given moment at the expense of all others, some would argue that she has difficulty seeing existences other than her own as truly 'people' outside of how they make her feel. To these ends she is loud, crude, boisterous, and oddly compelling for some just for how honest she is about what she wants and intends to do. For those who treat her well, she can be considered a good 'friend' but such people are warned that her merry nature only lasts as long as she is enjoying herself and once she isn't betrayal shouldn't just be expected it should be considered inevitable.

Hello! I felt I should say a word on the kind of play I'm expecting. Obviously sexual is a part of it, a big part of it, considering Jatala's build but vore is too. Mostly of the decidedly 'rough but not hard' variety. With that said, I definitely have a love for descriptive and well written scenes and try to return the very same when it's given to me. Short and poorly written posts just...don't do anything for me at all. Sure, a mistake every so often is fine but if nothing is capitalized where it should be or punctuated, etc, then I'm likely to want to stop playing. OOC is fine though.
