Sisters, lovers, fierce and hungry warriormaids. All of these describe the "mad sisters" Jaycee and Tira perfectly. The two are practically the same person, sometimes speaking in tandem in a way some find unnaturally eerie. It is rare to see one without the other, but even when great distances separate the two, they have the uncanny ability to communicate via some kind of mental link that not even they can explain.
The two women are part of the Captain's crew more of convenience than of loyalty, and this has already caused them some grief. Upon breaking one of Captain Prescott's Rules about the dispersal of spoils after a raid, Tira was sentenced to seven lashes at the quartermast. Jaycee violently objected, and for a moment it looked as if the two would die together, fighting their shipmates of just a few moments ago. Finally, after some tense negotiations, Tira submitted to the punishment, and the sisters retreated to their corner of the ship to lick their wounds and mutter darkly. Only time will tell what their next move will be.
