 Physical description
Jean is a mix of many species, probably the most prevalent of them the grey fox. Actually, he looks very much like a regular grey fox anthro... only, he's more than twice as tall as the usual one. Strange things can occur in breeding, yes, but usually not something like this. His own theory is that his size can be attributed to all kinds of animals formed from his other DNA living inside him... and he could be right, since half the time there are one or two wriggling about. Aside from the height, Jean also has a couple other features about him that are somewhat unusual. His pelt could be mistaken for grey and off white, but seeing him in various ambiance will reveal that hint of unnatural blue to his fur is no trick of the light. His face has a scar, just visible even through his fur, running from the bridge of his muzzle to just a hair west of the outer edge of his right eye. Who could've given him such a thing? Who knows, but it must've been big. His stature speaks for itself, a mass of meat that changes gears in terms of specific build according to the season - muscular and leaner in the summer, taking on much more padding and insulation in the winter. Lastly, Jean doesn't have 'hair' per se, but he does have longer fur where hair would be. It's somewhat stylable, but is simply pulled back on most occasions. Jean only has one set of clothes (it's so hard to shop off the rack) which can be described as follows: Plain black T-shirt, baggy camo pants (no pockets / tail hangs out over; no hole), a black belt, and soleless dark-brown boots (almost like leather slippers). All of these have tiny rips around the edges, but none more so than the shirt; the left sleeve is torn off, making it a tee on the right, el cheapo tanktop on the left. Living so far off the grid as he does, he's gotten used to working without them if need be. He's commonly found working around his permaculture setup, deep in the forest, bordered on the north edge by a wide river and by a sheer mountain range on the west. Hikers or explorers coming from the south might stumble upon a curiously tended area full of fruit trees and root vegetables, and a sense of overbearing dread about the land. Like it's been adapted for someone or something very unlike them. Coming from the east, they may find a more direct route to an impractically tall log cabin that removes all doubt as to who lives here.
