Jinsei

History

The union of a werewolf and a rabbit was anything but ‘typical’, still it was something society came to accept and the happy couple had many children. This of course, did not quell their ambitious efforts as the pair was also part of a collaboration of scientists looking to create a new, synthetic food source alternative. It would be nutritious, durable, and easily manufactured if they were successful, however the process was slow and positive results were hard to come by. Nonetheless, those involved continued to work, their determination however led to an accident of one on a thankfully low level. Though the incident wasn’t particularly volatile and no one was hurt, it had quite an effect on the unborn child in the womb of the werewolf. A few weeks later, their youngest son, Jinsei was born.

Unlike his siblings others, Jinsei was a full hybrid, a wolfit or mutt he would be referred to as. The incident at the laboratory saw that Jinsei’s birth left him…different, for one his internal flesh was a distinct, deep purple coloration, perhaps due to the fact some of his bodily fluids were syrupy and shared that same purple color. It seemed that instead of leaving traditional waste, a viscous goop would be expelled should the hybrid need to relieve himself, its properties were remarkable and considerably valuable in even the eyes of the scientists. Given the oddity of the young wolfit, he was mostly confined to the laboratory with his parents and the other researchers; however that ended rather quickly in just a few years as much like his mother, the Moon could have a powerful effect on Jinsei.

It was over in a single night, and when the wolfit awoke he felt as though he had gorged himself, and in fact he had. Everyone was gone, the researchers, his parents, even some of the furniture, devoured whole from the looks of things. The werewolf dwelling inside the unassuming, playful pup had taken root finally and its first night left Jinsei in a rather unfortunate predicament. Though his memory was fuzzy, he knew what happened, in fact his groaning stomach told him all he needed to know, but he tried not to let it show, even when his siblings chose to distance themselves from him, after all because of him they had lost their parents. Thankfully, those conducting the experiments weren’t about to leave a specimen like Jinsei all on his own, so he was taken in by another laboratory and raised under watchful, yet curious eyes.

The years passed, the wolfit grew, yet the scientists found it difficult to continue the research even with the goop that the hybrid created. At the same time, the occasional worker would go missing, but it wasn’t hard to determine just where they ended up, as Jinsei was considerably ravenous even if he kept up a friendly, good natured appearance. They were unsure of what to do with him when he reached adolescence, but they had been preparing a bank account in order to try and give the wolfit a normal life should they deem him capable of being able to take care of himself without causing too much of a stir. However, after another full Moon incident Jinsei found himself blissfully gorged and without guardians once again, so he set off on his own after a short recharge and decided to see the world for himself.
