That's Jodie's motto and she tries to live up to it.
It's not surprising that she ran away from home at the age of 16, with her uncles's old motorcycle that was standing usless in the garage for years. Other than her father, he had been a real idol for Jodie, even though she doesn't plan on dying to an overdose like he did years back. Of course the first years were very bumpy, with Jodie travellling the road, never staying for long, taking small jobs to pay for gasoline and a roof to sleep under, with no real friends or family.

Two years after leaving home, she ran into another runaway like her, a girl like her (more or less) who had left home and prefered to live on the road. She tought her how to cheat in card games, how to pickpocket people and break into cars. Sure it wasn't legal, but to hell with the police and the law. She didn't care. Of course this got her the attention of the police and more than once she only narrowly escaped, since she often crossed borders, it was almost impossible to keep track of her. With the money she got herself a few hideouts, and few more bikes, scattered all over the country. Trouble started when one of the local gangs caught her stealing on their turf, she was offered two choices, a few broken bones, or to join them, the latter was only offered cause their leader had caught a glimps on Jodie's secret in her pants, and was now crushing on her. Finding the leader quite attractive, Jodie decided that joining them was the more attractive option.
Settling down for a few months was quite enjoyable after years on the road, and the gangs operations were... thrilling, dangerous. Sadly her time with the bikergang ended much sooner than she expected, and in a very different way. While she was out colleting money, the club was raided by the police and almost everyone was arrested. It turned out that the police had an undercover agent in the gang prior to Jodie joining them, luckily for her, the police didn't come looking for her, so she returned to her old life, travelling around on her own, more experienced, with a gun and ample skills in martial arts.
